"Midgame Campaign for Europa 270BC Map"

A unique playable campaign overhaul for the Europa 270BC Map.

Bored of playing the same campaign game over and over, taking over the same small rebel towns, fighting the same weak units in every campaign and tired of waiting for small town to develop into cities so you can finally build some better units?
Rather want to play as the Romans possessing more territory with the option to directly start a civil war?
Want the option to fight alongside one other Roman faction to fight the other Roman faction, or rather be the bigger Roman faction fighting the other two Roman factions?

With this unique playable mid-game campaign overhaul for the Europa 270 BC map you have these possibilities and less of the annoyance of replaying the same campaign game over and over again!

Tip: Combine this mod optionally with either of the Rome Rerostered mods to have an even better experience recruiting more and new units!
(screenshots contain units from Total Rebalance: Rome Rerostered III)

Features:

- Most cities now have more population compared to the Europa 270BC and some buildings, especially ports and barracks have been pre-built, to help with mid-game economy and unit recruitment.
- All cities have been provided with different, and notably stronger unit compositions compared to the original Europa 270BC map, which makes for more difficult battles with statistically better units.
- Most of the rebel territory has been conquered by factions.
- Some factions have lost territory, others gained territory.

(!) Make sure to download the Europa 270 BC Map here, and put 'Midgame Campaign' on top of 'Europa 270BC map' in the mod launcher, as it is a requirement to play this campaign.

Lore:
In this campaign the Julii control Northern Italy, conquered most of Gaul, defeated the Senate and took the capital Rome.
The Gauls are pushed towards the coastline, they are resisting the Romans in the West of Gaul and the North of Spain.
The Brutii conquered most of the Illyrian territory and start to invade Greece.
The Scipii managed to drive away the Carthaginians from Sicily and Sardinia.
The Brutti and Scipii Roman families, are still allied, and declared war on the Julii.
It's up to the Scipii and Brutii to decide whether they want to recapture Rome and Italy, or whether they will fight for Greece and Carthaginian territory respectively.

Macedon and Greece had to give up some territory to the Brutii and are driven into Anatolia.
Thrace also has been pushed back by Macedon into Anatolia.
Pontus managed to also to capture Anatolian territory from the Seleucids and are now in control of most of the coastline around the Black Sea.
The Armenians managed to hold their ground against the Pontic and Seleucids, territory was neither lost nor gained.
The Scythians can either head into Europe or capture the Baltic states from the Rebels.
The Egyptians still dominate most of the Levant, but are in conflict with the Seleucids, and lost one colony to the Greeks in the west.

The Carthaginians were driven back by the Scipii, yet they control most of the coastline around the Western Mediterranean (Africa, Spain)
Numidia was pushed back by the Carthaginians, yet they have sea access through modern day Morocco.
The Germans have expanded and Britains respectively have conquered most of Germanic and Britannic territory.

It's up to you to pick a faction and lead your faction to glory in this all new mid-game campaign!

Hi Aristoxenus,

Have you tried running this mod without any other mods enabled?
My bet would be that you have other mods enabled that are incompatible with this mod, either a mod that changes the map or a mod that adds / alters units.
Can you let me know what happens if you only enable this mod in the mod launcher?
Let me know your result, and also feel free to also list the other mods that you had enabled.

@GamerWithOpinions

Thanks again for the review.
And I am looking forward to the battle video!

As for the Iberia-Numidia alliance, it would make the Iberians not attack the Numidians, and I could also have Carthage start out at war with Numidia, I believe right now they are allied.
If I apply these changes, it shouldn't be that Numidia enters mostly in Spain, but rather fights Carthage, it will make the Carthage campaign a little harder, and have Spain focus more on fighting the Gauls, Carthage and Romans.
Maybe most other people don't mind how it works right now, I still have some playtesting to do, and like you say in your video, it helps if people leave their feedback.

I'll probably make a Rome Rerostered III Definitive Edition, so people that don't want to deal with ordering mods in the launcher have these maps + some DLC pre-included, and I could work a little on upkeep, but it will also depend on my playtesting :)

By the way, I send you the wrong link, can you put this link instead of the one you put on YouTube?

Thanks for appreciating my work and thank you for making the review videos!

Link has been added. Yes i will show battles in a separate video they are worth a vid of their own.:steamhappy: Iberia/Numidia alliance will not really work Iberia will have a hard time supporting them in Africa. A prepackage version is very smart, The easiest it is to use your options the more likely they will be tried as they were meant to be. Thank you for your hard work.
