Description
---Overview---
Surface Call is a total re-imagining of the level "Surface Call" from Half Life: Decay. This addon contains two maps taking place on the sun baked surface and in the horror ridden depths of Black Mesa.

---Launching The Map---
Launch Black Mesa, go to the "Workshop" tab, select "Surface Call" from the list.

Open the console with the '~' key, type in "bm_surface_call_a", and press enter.

---About---
I was really drawn to the original "Surface Call" level from Half Life: Decay. I thought the mission was very unique and interesting compared to the rest of the levels in Decay. I originally intended this project to be a quick project to make and get out the door, but things grew and changed to what the project is currently. For some reason I have an obsession with remaking classic Half Life levels in Black Mesa and bringing them into the modern day. I like to put my own spin on what was done before and try to improve and refine it however I can.

Good map, but I hope we get a Black Mesa Decay one day with better level design, dialogue, music, and coop!

the chopper is indestructible for me (wasted some 50 rockets on it), thus making the mod unpassable. Is anyone else experiencing this?

im seeing alot of material's used in OPFOR during the training sequence, is this on purpose or just by coincidence?

@sderose1062. Without providing spoilers, here is some advice on taking out the chopper:

1. Do not waste any rockets taking out the APC.

2. Once the chopper appears, run back through the doors in data building in zig zag pattern (where you exited after the marine assault), and take a breath.

3. Select laser alternate fire mode on your RPG (Secondary Fire). Should show a red dot.

4. Stay at the door until it opens. Watch the chopper, move quick and fire close. Guide the laser rocket with your mouse until it hits the chopper. Retreat back through door as needed. Repeat cycle until chopper is down.

5. Some advice. once you have run through the data building doors when the chopper first appears, Quick Save. Do not Save again until you have downed the helo.
