Description
Built for Reforged Eden 1.7!

Type: Early game mining CV/Starter CV
Tier 2, 399.645 CPU
Size Class: 2 (1,89)
Unlock Level: 15 (can be brought to 12 if drills are removed)

Built for CPU, block limits and unobstructed thrusters

The M2 Miner is an early game mining ship to get started and possibly(?) avoid the drill turret.
Intended as a starter CV, but you will want a SV with a jump drive to get the necessary resources first. Depending on your leveling progress you may want to save a local copy without drills and bring that in early.

Comes with a small hangar and everything you need early on. Some upgrade potential is available to increase thrust and firepower. For Details on Upgrades see the LCD screen on the ship.

Light armor on the main hull.

Yea I realized that when looking into it so yea definitely required lol.

Not too big of a deal though actually as the elder tomb "very rare" containers give like 100 of each typically.

I've been enjoying using the ship, minus the difficulty of tunneling with the industrial drills like someone else mentioned, they need to be buffed tbh.

I of course slapped a ton of solar panels on it cause it's nice letting it idle with some things turned on without using fuel. I also fixed the signals as they weren't really working for some reason.

It's required for the drills. You can remove those to bring it in early, but it kinda defeats the point of the ship.

As far as I am aware the big mechanical drills have always been that bad. Tunneling is not a thing with them.

did they change drill area for the industrial drills some time?
I am unable to "tunnel" mine through a asteroid and even unable to mine right in the middle when there are small pieces left.
will leave quite a lot of blindspots while mining, which is super sad.
wanted to keep that ship longer because I absolutely love the look of it :D

To fix the oxygen issue, remove the glass door in the hydroponics bay and replace with normal door. Its not air tight. ;)

There is an issue, oxygen is leaking somewhere. Loaded it unmodified, still no oxygen.

Lower level requirement and don't require upgrade kits to build. They are starter items.
