CDF - Modernized

Descrição
Chernarus Defense Forces - Modernized
After the events of Operation Harvest Red, Chernarus and the Chernarus Defense Forces became more Western-aligned, as visible by their use of Western vehicles during the time of Operation Arrowhead. In this mod, I attempt to depict the CDF with newer equipment, while still retaining their Arma 2 character

While this mod is not intended to represent a specific era, and is purposefully left vague, it is broadly representative of how the CDF might look from the late 2010s through the early 2030s. This way, players can use this mod however they see fit, and not be constrained by being designed for a very specific era, or by fitting into a certain timeline or canon.

v1.4 Features
Integration of Aegis AK-74
Aerodynamics Lab soft dependency, adding the MiG-25 variants and Tu-160 if both Aerodynamics Lab and Pook's Soviet Air Force Pack is loaded.
Some slightly tweaked loadouts to better incorporate the Aegis AK-74 integration, as well as added Scout unit to Chedaki special forces.

Gear
Rifle - AK-74: The CM means "Chernarus Modified," a way for me to implement the changes discussed below. This rifle uses a picatinny rail so standard optics can be mounted. Folding stock was chosen for a clean, modern look alongside the classic Arma 2 era wooden stock.
Vest - Carrier Lite: A common Western vest, this was chosen to replace outdated Soviet vests in order to show increased Western cooperation. A coyote brown color was chosen as a callback to the Arma 2 USMC.
Helmet - Modular Helmet: This is available in multiple colors, and the CDF could be seen commonly equipped with Western helmets as early as the events of Operation Harvest Red
Optics - ACO, DMS: Typically found with squad leaders and marksmen, respectively.

Features
Special Forces - These units use supressors on their weapons, as well as surplus optics from the US.
Militia - A small subcategory of militia forces is added. As the CDF recieved new equipment in their modernization efforts, their old surplus was given to the militia. They are reminiscent of the A2 era CDF.
Support - Battlefield support variants of vehicles have their own subcategory to avoid clutter. They also have special groups that work well with the Support waypoint.
Gunners - Soldiers with weapon bags have their own subcategory to avoid clutter.
Customized Weapon Configs - SVDs used by CDF use the CUP model, but sounds and recoil from the Rahim rifle
Extended Motor Pool - The CDF has access to the MRL, ZU-23-2, Cargo, and Flatbed variants of the Kamaz truck, as well as an upgraded variant of the T-72 previously used by the Czech Republic.
A2/A2: OA Derived Motor Pool - The faction sticks to the A2 roots, so some vehicles added by CUP are not present. However, others are added such as M113 variants and H-9, used by the CDF in Takistan as UN peacekeeping forces.
Cyrus Marksman Rifle - The one confirmed thing by BI about the future of Chernarus: it manufactures the Cyrus. As such, you will see it here.
CDF Patch - CDF insignia is added and wearable on uniforms. It is also used on a new beret texture, based off the model added in Enoch. The texture will likely be improved in the future.
UN Faction - Modified from the base faction, these units have blue helmets and white vehicles. Not all classes could be transferred because no UN markings exist for those vehicles.
Chedaki Faction - Heavily inspired by, and with direct reference to the original faction of Arma 2, these units use more updated vanilla-alike gear.

Factions
CDF (Modernized)
CDF (Modernized, UN)
Chedaki (Modernized)

Dependencies
CUP - Weapons, vehicles
Arma 3: Aegis/Atlas - Uniforms and gear
Western Sahara - Kamaz variants, uniform model, required by Arma 3: Aegis/Atlas (Purchase not required, compatibility data will work fine)
Aerodynamics Lab + Pook Soviet Air Force Pack (Soft Dependency): MiG-25 variants, Tu-160.

A Note
Why Chernarus? Why the CDF? There's already many other mods on the Workshop that do what this does whether for the 2010s, the 2020s, or even the 2030s! To me none of them feel right. Also, I haven't found any that aren't dependent on either cDLC or RHS, which are prohibitive for various reasons of their own. By using CUP, not only do I fill a niche of the CDF mods out there, but I also ensure that it remains compatible with most other assets from both the base game and mods. I tried to keep as much of the arsenal 'Vanilla-alike' as possible. That's why I use the uniforms provided by the Arma 3: Aegis suite, and use magazines from the base game by default where possible. Furthermore, by using the uniforms from the Aegis suite, I was able to make more variants of the uniform with other models that exist within Arma 3 and the Western Sahara cDLC.

TODO
Fix: CDF insignia and beret texture - Current version is very bright

Absolutely! I'm currently working on a big update to Project Red Dawn right now, so it may take some time.
