[IN] Cobra Class Destroyer

The Cobra class destroyer is a fast and agile torpedo boat. A 1.5km long ship, the Cobra is among the smallest warships fielded by the imperial navy, and amongst its most common escort vessels.
These ships are often found in squadrons of two or three ships, usually with distinctive prow paintjobs. Such squadrons are often semi permanent arragements, some of which have reached fame levels similar to larger vessels.

During peaceful times, the ship is useful in catching the fast raiders often used by pirates during chases. In larger fleet engagements, squadrons of these ships act as useful scouts and launch devastating flanking attacks, flooding the enemy line with torpedoes from unexpected angles before turning and repositioning for a second pass.

Rogue traders that find themselves using Cobras often replace the forward torpedo tubes and magazines for cargo space.


Due to the scale i work at, the cobra (and other escorts) have little to no interior space. This ship is basically a large grid fighter. Fast, small, agile, and armed decently. Capable of planetary flight in gravity up to 1.1g.
