Description
Welcome to The Sirian Star, a custom made campaign for Serious Sam 4. It tries to bring back the classic Serious Sam gameplay where you explore nice looking locations, become more and more powerful by collecting big guns and mow down lots of enemies within interesting designed encounters. Currently, it is work in progress, so stay tuned for future updates.

Story
Mental wants to destroy humankind, as always, and Sam, as always, has to stop him to save his home planet. Unfortunately, humankind is losing the war against Mental and the only hope of survival is to find a Sirian artifact, called The Sirian Star, which has the power to destroy everything. This artifact was sealed away by the Sirians in a great, magical vault, a long time ago. To open the great vault, Sam must find four Sirian keys, the Elements. Is he able to bring his mission to a success? The fate of the world is in Sam's (your) hands.

Mandatory Mods
This campaign uses mods from the workshop, which are mandatory in order to play it. Make sure that you subscribe to all mods listed. Use the "Subscribe to all" function to reduce effort. Make sure that you use the moddable version of the game and that you enable all mods ingame. In case of level loading issues, check if you have fulfilled the mentioned prerequesites. If you still have issues, check out the "Support" tab in the discussion area.

Content Packages
Please make sure to subscribe to all content packages that are necessary to play this mod. Because of the total file size, the mod had to be spilt into multiple packages. They are part of the mandatory mod list as well, you will be just fine when you subscribed to all of them.

Content
At the moment, the first twelve levels are available for you to play. At the end, it will consist of fifteen different levels, which take place in five different environments. The whole campaign is fully playable in singleplayer or coop mode, so kill Mental's hordes as one man army or grab some friends.

Background
To be honest, I had no special idea or concept in which direction I wanted to go with this modification when I started it. But then, I learned how to use the Serious Sam 4 editor and it's new features, created one level after another, met some new friends who helped mit with this project a lot, and came up with what it is now. We hope that you enjoy what we created so far.

Gameplay
The goal of this campaign was to bring back the classic Serious Sam gameplay and create more content for this awesome game, where you can mow down hordes of enemies while not releasing the left mouse button for a split second. It should bring back the feeling from The First and The Second Encounter, and should be a more challenging experience. Some of the new Serious Sam 4 features make a return, like skill points and gadgets, but they are just a bonus. Most of the time you will find yourself in large areas and arenas. Some well hidden secrets await you, too.

If you like music, check out the "Music" tab in the discussion area. It contains all the music we used within this campaign so far.

Info
  • Please make sure to subscribe to all dependent workshop objects, otherwise you won't be able to play this mod
  • There are some optional mods which you don't have to use to play this mod, but we recommend using them as they make the whole experience a lot better. These optional mods are listed below
  • The enemy multiplier is now implemented in this campaign, but not the same way like in the original Serious Sam 4 campaign. This time, EVERY enemy will be multiplied (except for bosses and some support enemies), while taking the same time to spawn them in like before. 11x multiplier will melt your PC, don't say we did not warn you about that ;)
  • We recommend using the "background shadow" option in the graphics menu. The campaign features a lot of terrain and using this option makes the game look much better, if your PC can handle it
  • Do not hesitate to leave a feedback or comment, especially if you find any bugs. We tested a lot, but software is just not perfect ;)

Optional Mods
The following mods are optional and not needed to play our campaign. We just recommend using them to improve the gameplay experience.

At the Magma Eater level, the sweetest thing is to get into a round tube, fire a couple of cannon balls and watch them roll down the walls.

Year, you are welcome :) now im on boss fight at level 3 and health bar does not appear after reload of quick save right after cutscene and damage to boss does not register either

I think i found a bug, in the first level I grabbed keys to secret grenade launcher via parkour and not via destruction of ruin by enemy and then, door would not open like if I did not have keys

Перепрошел эту доп. компанию еще раз, т.к. добавили лавовые уровни. В некоторых местах баланс хромает, но в целом всё проходится без усилий. К слову залазил туда, где надеялся увидеть секрет, но их там не было, хотя я залазил прям в тяжелые места. Еще страдает то, запросто можно уйди за текстуры, думая что там секретик, но нет, это недоработка ограничений игровой зоны.

Спасибо разработчикам еще раз, за такую прекрасную работу над этим модом. Проходил с огромным удовольствием! Она могла вполне бы стать чем-то больше, чем просто мод.

Anyway, I found the necessary files myself (just typed “Resource” into the search engine and downloaded all the files with the name “Resource”), and everything worked. So I have both the new map and the old one working for me

You mean the old version of this mod, the first one that has been released? I am sorry, but I do not support the old version anymore. If something does not work, you have to fix it by yourself ;)
