Mechs Don't Create Wastepacks

Description
This mod aims to make getting steel and plasteel less tedious.

With this installed, Deep Drills now function just like workbenches. You can place them anywhere and add bills to decide which resource to mine.

There are two recipes:
Mine Steel (Requires mining level 3)
Mine Plasteel (Requires mining level 8)

Do I still need to scan for resources?
No. The ground-penetrating scanner is no longer needed, so I completely removed it. The long range mineral scanner is untouched.

Do drills now use the crafting skill?
No, deep drills will continue to use your mining skill and give mining exp.

Do drills still trigger infestations?
No.

What about gold/uranium/silver/etc?
I intentionally left those resources out to keep them rare - you'll have to find another way to acquire them! ;)

eh, the author will probably realize and change it, if your looking for the other mod just copy paste the name of this mod into the search bar

If you're looking for the toxic wastepacks mod check the mod author's workshop. I think they might've updated their deep drill mod with the wrong image & title when uploading it by mistake.

wtf does this mod actually do?

The title talks about wastepacks but the description and pictures are about deep drilling.

Only thing that makes me not want to use this is the lack of infestations. I like that risk. Otherwise, cool mod.

For starters, it repurposes and/or removes existing buildings, which simplifies the game instead of making it more bloated. Some people prefer having more buildings for aesthetic/RP reasons, so it's mainly a matter of preference.
