Config Commands:

Go to gmod at your library, right click on it and go to propeties, goto garrysmod>cfg and edit the autoexec file with your notepad and paste the commands bellow, make sure to save the file before closing.

Most launch options are unstable and can cause crashes in different machines, these two are the only one thats stable;
Go to gmod at your library, right click on it and go to propeties, paste these commands to the launch settings slot.

-novid -high

Here are the other launch options that may crash your game depending on your machine:

-nojoy -nosteamcontroller -softparticlesdefaultoff -nohltv -particles 1 -useforcedmparms -noforcemaccel -noforcemspd -nocrashdialog -nod3d9ex -threads 4 +mat_hdr_level 0 +mat_queue_mode 2 -dxlevel 80 (80 is the lowest Dx level and may crash your game, if so increase the Dx level "80, 81, 90, 95, 98"

If you are using TF2 stuff here are the way to make the textures flat using the Flat Textures mod. Installation guide is there.
