Yellirs' Trait Rebalance and Profession Traits [MP Compatible]

Description
This mod rebalances traits and professions to be based around an actual point based system. Works in Build 41 and Multiplayer.

It also adds all profession based traits including burglar, axeman, desensitized, amateur electrician, and nightowl.

Finally, brave, cowardly, and desensitized are now mutable traits which will allow for one to slowly become more desensitized.
After 500 kills, you will lose the cowardly trait. After 1000 kills, you will become brave. After 1500 kills you will become desensitized and no longer feel panic.



The balancing system should result in much more freedom with your builds and the ability to run unemployed without being severely penalized.

I analyzed each of the skills underneath professions and traits and assigned them point values based off their usefulness in the game.

For example, Strength, which is an incredibly strong trait, has been assigned a point value of 3 cost. Anything that would add a strength or subtract a strength will be worth + or -3 respectively.

Conversly, if a trait is less important to the overall gameplay and survival, it will be worth less points.

First Aid now costs 1 point and so does Lightfooted, so a nurse will be able to start the game with 5+ positive points and actually maybe be worth taking.

There's a lot of changes here. Let me know if you think anything is insanely over powerful.



Not all of the logic in this workshop is mine. I used Moon Slime's Reupload, Not Mine, which is also a reupload of a mod, to get the traits from professions.

Using on a MP server, like the re-balances, but I'm not sure that the burglar or Axe-o-phile (rename of Axeman) are working as expected. The tool-tip for the Ax-o-phile lists that its +2 axes so not sure if its intended to have the same functionality as Axeman or not. The "troubled youth" trait lists that it gives Burglar, but doesn't seem to grant the ability to hot-wire vehicles.

I'm currently looking for something to rebalance the traits, but I'm not sure about using this mod. Looks like the creator was only active 22 Dec, 2021 until 1 Jan, 2022. I generally find a mod like this does need a couple rebalance passes, and it looks like it isn't being supported.

Could you make Wakeful and Night Owl (standable trait) selectable together? I don't see why they shouldn't be considering one can already take Security Guard + Wakeful.

Claustrophobic and Agoraphobic are lossable over time. Its roughly 3-4 months ingame. Although the symbol stays in the chars screen, the effect is basically none.

I'd like to see the Claustrophobia & Agoraphobia traits overcome by exposure over time by becoming slowly able to tolerate longer times in the offending environment.

Also I'd like to see Pacifist eventually lost after about 200 kills surely after that paltry amount your outlook on life would be changed.
