Nuclear Weapons

Description
Normal warheads not enough for you? Blast radii start at 100m and go up from there. Original explosion system allows for proper compounding of simultaneous explosions.

Added Elements
Blocks:
Mini-Nuke (Small) (default blast radius: 50m)

Nuclear Warhead (Large) (default blast radius: 100m)

Nuclear Warhead (Small) (default blast radius: 100m)

Thermonuclear Warhead (Large) (default blast radius: 300m)

Nuclear Missile Launcher (Large/Small)

Projectiles:
Nuclear Missile (default blast radius: 100m; range: 15km; arcs in gravity by default!)

Components:
Enriched Uranium Core (used to build both warheads)

Overrides
Vanilla Warhead (converted to use the same explosion system)

PRO-1 (Precision Hand-held Rocket Launcher; can shoot Nuclear Missiles)

*All elements can be individually toggled/modified in the Config.xml file

Compounding
Explosions will compound with each other and with any other explosions from the "Bigger Explosions" mod. Any explosions that are close enough to each other (and at roughly the same time) will combine to form a single larger explosion. So if you pack several armed nuclear warheads, a few vanilla warheads, and a thermonuclear warhead into a single missile grid and smash it into an enemy base at high velocity (with "Kinetic Devastation" enabled), then all of those explosions will combine into one massive blast.

Config Setup
This mod can be customized by making use of the Config.xml file that generates once the mod is loaded. Loading a file with this mod active creates a Config.xml file inside of the save folder (...\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves\<SteamId>\<SaveGameName>\Storage\2667815590.sbm_NuclearWarheads). You can edit the values in this file to change those values in game after loading back into the save.

Setup Steps:
1. Subscribe to the mod
2. Add mod to world
3. Load into world once to generate the Config.xml file
4. Exit world
5. Make changes to the Config.xml file at above location
6. Load back into world to see changes

Known Bugs: Nuclear missile currently has bug where it isn't visible to client players if it was launched from far away (outside their loaded range). Still fully functional in every other aspect; mostly only an issue for PvP since it might catch you by surprise. Will be working on a fix.

There seems to be an issue when I go to disassemble the missiles. They won't go into the assemble at all

@PallyDanaRama I agree, I don't know how feasible it would be either but that's what would make me want to use this mod. I love shields, but even if I wasn't using them I'd want slightly more tactical options than just "if explosion hits a block the block gets deleted". Being able to use the blast radius as a sort of "nuclear flak" for instance, where being more maneuverable is still beneficial for minimizing damage taken, but you're still more or less guaranteed to take some of it with every near miss.

What I'd like to see (If it's at all possible) is a gradient where everything within ~10 meters of the center is erased, but you see less and less damage as it radiates, until the edges of the explosion just scratch and dent armor but don't outright destroy anything. Even better if high-hp blocks could reduce the incoming damage to blocks behind them, but I know I'm asking too much now. Is any of that possible?

Would it be possible to make this compatible with other shield mods like Deflector Shields? I noticed it works with defense shields, but I don't use that because I don't want all the extra stuff that comes with weaponcore. I really love the compounding effect, and consider it almost mandatory, but the resulting explosion seems to completely bypass any shields in my game and just erase anything in the area.

Speaking of erasing, is there a way to reduce the amount of damage it does? I see that you can reduce or increase the volume of the explosion, but can't see anything for the damage values.

Could you please fix the SFX? I'm only hearing them on my left ear (headset), it's supposed to hurt both my ears. Thanks

Only sometimes apparently.

The small grid bombs don't seem to explode nucleary, just a small radius immediately around the block
