The core of the mod is reworking the way ability trees are. You can take second wave options to enable selecting individual ability sets to configure and optimize your soldiers. In the case of Gangplank's gameplay loop, the closest I think you could get would be choosing [Gunslinger]-[Ranger]-[Siege Engineer]. Gunslinger gives pistol perks; ranger gives sword perks. Siege engineer gives you a good well rounded grenade set up, but if you absolutely want the "barrels" then the [Saboteur] specialization's access to the claymore would be a good choice. However, you'd be giving up sword access for it.
This mod https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1521073823 provides access to [Siege Engineer]. [Gunslinger], [Ranger], and [Saboteur] are all available by default in RPGO.
Also, good luck on your applications.
You plan to make more voice packs? I'm a fan of yordles and could use to hear more. Like being able to make Kled into a Skirmisher, or having Tristana as a grenadier, Lulu as a specialist, Kennen as a templar, etc.
