OPCOM: OPERATIONS COMMAND
Version: 0.2.1.241003.1

WHAT TO EXPECT:
OPCOM is a "see what you get" menu with lots of customization and settings. No modding or deep editor knowledge required. It takes just a few clicks to set up your single-player scenario, operator, squad, and support. Play missions or liberation on any map. In Global Ops, you drop into other maps, directly from your current scenario, to execute special operations missions. The menu is also customizable, to make it your Operation Command. More to come!


WARNING:
  1. This mod is still in development. Bugs and errors are guaranteed!
  2. This mod is made out of fun and curiosity, not to compete or replace other mods!
  3. This mod is not perfect, but I am comitted to learn, optimize and update frequently.
  4. My military knowledge is from games and movies. Military terms might be used incorrect.

OPCOM KEY FEATURES
  • full operator customization, including inventory management and gunsmith

  • import and export loadouts with BIS and ACE arsenals

HOW TO USE OPCOM
  1. Place a single playable unit on the map in 3DEN editor (you can change faction etc, in the menu).
  2. Place the OPCOM module on the map. It can be found in ‘modules >> ai-mods’
  3. Save your mission to single-player scenarios or play directly from within the editor.
  4. Open OPCOM from your action menu or bind a key in Arma settings.

OPCOM should work with most faction, weapon, and equipment mods. Please leave a comment in Feature Requests (Steam Discussion), if your favourite mod does not work with OPCOM. I also appreciate feedback if you may confirm compatibility.

KNOWN ISSUES
  • Don’t use respawn, revive or damage multipliers, if you use ACE or other mods that include medical features or damage handling.
  • Some combinations of mods may cause issues when spawning the dummies or vehicles in the menu (happened once with Project Blufor and COD: MW2-Core enabled. Game crashed when new dummy spawned on faction change.)
  • Performance drops with ambient flybys over large AI groups.
  • Various problems if you decide to play in multiplayer, despite the mod's current singleplayer nature!
  • Some features of TPW mod may conflict with OPCOM respawn.
  • Currently not compatible with Underground mod.

Hey Operators,

I hope you're all doing well. I owe you an update, especially after I promised more regular ones.

As life sometimes goes, things took an unexpected turn for me earlier this year. I'm currently facing serious personal and professional challenges that demand my full focus. No worries. I’m confident I’ll get through this.

Believe me, I’d much rather be fixing bugs and working on new OPCOM features. I was in the process of implementing a dynamic system for civilians and military events. But life had other plans.

In the coming weeks, I’ll reflect on how OPCOM should continue. If I can’t fix things myself, we'll find a way forward. I’m even open to making it open source.

Thanks for your ongoing support and patience! This community is truly a meaningful part of my life.

To anyone facing tough times: Don’t give up! You are not alone. Accept your situation, take care of yourself, and keep moving forward. One step at a time.

@KingOfNuthin. Thank you for all your hard work on this mod. All your work allow me to convert this into a campaign scenario. I used your code for the base, a little bit of SOCOM, OPCOM, AND TRGM2. It is now the perfect scenario and mission for me. Thnaks so much.

So, I want to thank you for this mod again, but I think these tips will help you in your future updates:

1. when UAV drone is available, the item automatically disappears from player "Terminal" slot, even if he is carrying GPS or motion sensor device, which is annoying: you need to add your item back with cheats/Zeus

2. there's a problem when changing bots faces while managing your squad

3. ASR AI3 ruins "Rescue Prisoners" scenario, cuz "these prisoners" are just standing and running out for their lives in the very beginning of the mission

4. OPCOM Stealth (like DRO stealth missions) would be aaawesome! Now it's impossible. The main reason is all enemy units are carrying NVGs and have no flashlights attached to their primary weapons

5. I found the fact that enemy sentries are going in circles a lil bit boring. Can you add more randomizations, emplacements, bunkers, car patrols etc.? It will add a lot of fun for OPCOM!

man, i just wanted to say thank you. this mod brought the game back to life for me. its simple. easy. and covers so much. guys download this and make things easy for urself. u can choose any faction, any map, and any objective, in a small scale as to not upset fps. beautiful mod brother and i cant thank you enough!

this mod becoming a 3d module placeble and sync to action comand on objects (laptops , pcs , or tablets) for an command office or station

*actual accounting or money balance to hire personal buy upgrades or vehicles and dispatching expenses inside ui ( turnable off or on)


Global ops , becoming a listed mission contracts , based on variables loaded (mods , maps , units, factions) that the game cant count from (if @mod, if @altis, etc)
