Medullin (OLD)

Description
This mod is undergoing a rework.

An easily-accessible, none-too-complicated industrial-era healing stim. Seals up small bleeding wounds quickly, at the cost of temporary hearing loss. Not as good as those newfangled spacer mechanites but it does the job fast.

Possible permanent side effects include more chances of scars occuring.
Think of it like the quick-clot medicine prototypes in earlier wars.

Zero addiction chances, or tolerance rates.
Saves you some hassle.

Recipe is also quite easy, and can be outsourced from alot more ways.
The research is quick to access, aswell.

Why Psychite Tea?
You can easily access it anywhere, atleast in a normal run of Rimworld.
Farming psychite leaves, or looting dead raiders, or looting faction outposts, or from trading.

You say it causes hearing loss, but it also affects sight.
The hearing stat in Rimworld doesn't do much in combat, actually..
So I decided it should affect Sight, because you can't calibrate your shots well when you can't hear..??

Un/installing? Compatibility?
The drug is easily accessible itself if you're in a normal Rimworld playthrough.
Add some obscure mods that change manufacturing processes and you might have problems.
Installing is safe mid-game, preferably in the Industrial Era where you can actually make it.
Uninstalling, probably like other mods - if there's instances of it in your world be careful.

@Alastor I find it easier to buy, steal, and grow drugs rather than herbal medicine.. More of a convenience thing in this case

i expected this to need herbal medicine not tea lol, still cool tho

Fantastic, I'll sub to that right away! If you do make more, make a collection or something so we can stay up to date!

@Chancellor David - Yeaah.. I kinda got frustrated at how un-rimworldy that popular combat medicine mod is, so I decided to draw and make my own.

I plan to try and make more "unique" stims that touch on weird niches in pawn stats..

Yesterday I was thinking of a stim that acted like a certain game's [Koldera Black - A cigarette that reduces stress.] .. like one of those Vanilla Expanded Brewing cigars, but different.

Fast to smoke, reduces hunger rate and suppresses mental breaks, pain reduction, etc.. something that lets your soldiers last long on a battlefield despite all that medicine you have.

Loving this, it fills a niche that not many other mods do. Any other plans for stims or similar medicines?

@cy-one Don't worry, mine isn't good either. I picked a futuristic-looking font that could still be easily read, since some fonts make me think I have dyslexia.

I might need Healium for my brain..

My eyesight isn't the best, so you can imagine my amusement when I misread Healium in the smaller picture as "It induces a mild healing effect that sadly, also causes mild deathness."
