M/V Merikotka (sinkable)

Description
NOTE: This doesn't work properly with infinite fuel & electricity enabled!

M/V Merikotka (M/V Sea Eagle) is a fictional yacht but is slightly inspired by some Altena Trawler models. It is mostly meant to work as an exploration vessel but it can be used to complete many rescue missions as well. Not really suitable for carrying oil though. But in theory it might also be possible. Just not very effective. No modded/edited blocks and most systems are quite basic and should be easy to understand. All buttons should also be labelled so you can see what they do. On the top deck you can also find separate exploration/lifeboat which has fairly long range and is quite stable. This is my second finished boat and first one which stays upright without active stabilization system. Feedback is welcome and if something seems to be broken please let me know.

Once you find the main sinking event (hitting sea mine) try to see if you can manage to fix the situation and limp back home. It is quite challenging but doable with right prioritization and all the equipment available. (this event requires the weapons DLC)

NOTE: Causes some physics lag when close to shore but it's not too bad on my computer at least and clears up when on the open sea. This creation is by no means optimized. Actually it has way too much stuff and things going on everywhere. But I couldn't stop myself from adding everything I could. There are some painted blocks as furniture and paintings etc. but this isn't overly detailed creation where everything is made from paintable blocks.

NOTE2: Probably doesn't work well in multiplayer due to various systems using LUA and overall physics slowdown.

Stats

Length: 29,5 meters
Width: 8,25 meters
Height: 12 meters from keel to masts. May hit some lower bridges but usually not an issue.

Weight: ~32345 units (lifeboat included)
Price: ~$407000 (lifeboat+full fuel included)

Beds: 3 for crew and 6 for guests +medical bed

Engines & Fuel

2x 3x3 4 cylinder modular diesel engines with electric motor starting system
1x AUX Generator which can power the whole boat without main generators
Bow & Aft side thrusters (electric)
1x Med generator per engine with adjustable clutch in the control room

Fuel: 2x ~13000L +4200L Emergency Fuel
Fuel tanks are in the side bulges/stabilizers.

Speed

Authentic speed for a boat with this kind of a hull: 12-18 knots
Normal max speed: 25 knots
Max speed with emergency power (gear) enabled: 35 knots
Recommended speed in max winds & waves 10-12 knots

Range

I haven't tested it very accurately but my estimation would be close to 300km @ 18kts if including emergency fuel and in ok weather.

Hours: 18kts: 6h+ (not including emergency fuel)
25kts: 3h+ (not including emergency fuel)
35kts: 1-2h (not including emergency fuel)

Starting

Get into bridge

1: Switch on main breaker and other breakers as necessary
2: Activate engines (key switches)
3: On cold start engines start at 30%+ throttle (no starter sound as starting uses only electric engines)
4: You're good to go!
5: Enable automatic aux generator start, auto bilge pumps and navigational instruments as preferred.

Also in addition I use "Pilot seat throttle logic" to move throttle levers with W/S but I don't remember whose it was.

Known issues

-For some reason one fuel tank usually drains a bit faster but fuel balancing pump fixes that. Balancing pump messes up the fuel consumption meters a bit in the engine control room though.
-Fuel out pumps can't pump diesel very far up from the deck level
-Emergency power can sometimes work a bit weirdly if you mess around with it too much (or if relays get broken)
-If power is lost most cabin doors stop working and won't open. Emergency power will help with this but if it goes out too you're out of luck.
-Damage to certain relays/microcontrollers in the rear compartment can cause weird issues and break features and systems such as blackout when sinking etc.
-I have disabled overheating protection in the engine controllers on purpose so you can make them burst into flames if you wish.
-Engines shouldn't overheat on normal gear even at max throttle but it might be possible if weather is extremely hot and you have heaters on around the engine room. Lower the throttle a bit in that case
-On fast gear the engines will overheat on full throttle but shouldn't overheat if you lower the throttle slightly to 85-90% Depends on heaters and weather though. You can usually drive around 20km before engines overheat
-My fancy logic systems may break in some situation as I'm not very good at making those and foolproofing them
-Fire alarm & Suppression system has to be disabled from the same panel you activated it from (panels in the bridge and control room)
-Fire suppression system has some onboard fluid reserves in case you drive the boat on a beach and it bursts into flames but the amount of water may not be enough if the fire spreads (Normally it uses sea water)
-Lifeboat crane / magnet system can explode if magnets attach into wrong magnets
-Launching lifeboat so that it ends up under water usually leaves it stuck in the crane system so if things look bad, launch the boat in time.
-Lifeboat engine will overheat on max throttle as the interior space warms up but it takes some time. Drive at around 85% throttle to avoid overheating. Temperature meter is in panel at the right side of drivers seat
-When power flickers lifeboat magnets make annoying sounds if the boat is still attached
-Returning the lifeboat to storage position after launching it can be a bit tedious but is doable. Due to extremely stretchy ropes in the winches sometimes only one side of side magnets may attach but toggle it few times and it should fix itself
-Dropping lifeboat into the lower deck and trying to re-attach it again can cause it to jam into the main boat geometry and cause it to explode. I will probably try to make better launch system for it at some point.
-Lifeboat will despawn after moving 5(?)km away from the main boat despite both having the keep active block. If you want to have longer range on it you have to separate it from the main boat and spawn it on its own.
-Sometimes when the main boat is messed up the lifeboat's battery will be drained for some reason. Use backup battery in that case. Or check that the main breaker is on.
-Lifeboat has separate battery which keeps side magnets on at all times. if it is destroyed the boat may fall and get stuck on the lower deck. The battery is located under the radar mast.
-Weather station temperature shows wrong temperature if heaters are on despite the temp sensor being in the top of the light mast.
-Heaters have no temp controller and heat too much.
-Sauna doesn't heat up enough. D:

@masonllking It is possible that some update has broken it further. Haven't had the time to test it in quite a while so not sure. I'll try to check it out at some point. Meanwhile check that you don't have infinite electricity or fuel on as that may break some systems in the boat.

the rpm goes from around 500 but after awhile it starts lowering all the way down to 255 and it stays there unless you respawn it.

There are buttons to do so in the captains cabin in the lower deck. But it no longer works as well as it used to due to changes in how sinking works in game.
