The artwork is inspired by the pop culture dream, of the flying whales. "Over the winds, They dwell in light. Like the arrow in the sky, I found myself on higher grounds from up here, For I see them always in flight". As Rebeca Onion quoted, maybe the flying whales are another superimposition of our own fears and hopes upon another species, as we extrapolate an animal from its environment to suit our own fancy
