DEI - More Romans

Description
THIS MOD REQUIRES Divide Et Impera parts 1,2 and 3!!

_______________________________________________________________
Introduction & Contents
Many factions in DEI have medium to heavy tier units with 300 men, except Rome. I aim to fill that void with this mod in a seamless manner and allow the Romans to field an increased number of mediuim to heavy infantry as their mainstay, bread and butter infantry which can hold a thicker and wider initial line of battle.

The changes are as follows:
  • Roman and allied variants of both early and late Hastati as well as Marian Volunteer Legionnaries have had their unit strength increased from 200 to 300.
  • Late Hastati now upgrade into Marian Volunteer Legionnaries through the Marian reforms. Marian Volunteer Legionnaries themselves now no longer upgrade into Imperial Legionnaries, and will become obsolete once Imperial reforms take place.
  • Marian Volunteer Legionnaries now have 28 armor instead of 25. Their original look was underarmored for their stats anyway so I took the liberty to give them occasional coats of mail, and leather cuirasses to better reflect their stats.
  • For balance purposes, the prices of all affected units have been slightly increased.

Use this mod with my "Stronger Rome" mod too if you want to play as or against a much stronger Rome.

Installation & Compatibility
  • To install, first subscribe to this mod, and place this mod above the 3 DEI parts in the mod launcher.
  • If you have other submods for DEI which you want to play with, simply place this mod over them as well to make sure the changes within this mod override them all. If you want to play this mod with my other submods, also place this mod on top of them.
  • This mod is semi-save game compatible. The number of men in a unit only apply to units recruited after a game has been loaded, and does not change the number of men for already recruited units that have been fielded in that save. For example, the first Hastati you get on the start of the Roman campaign will not have 300 men, but new ones you recruit thereafter will. Besides this, this mod will likely be compatible with all future versions of DEI. I will update this mod should the combat system of vanilla DEI be overhauled once more.
  • Although this mod will be multiplayer compatible, multiplayer in R2 is often a very buggy process that I will not be able help much should it become an issue. All I can say regarding this is make sure both parties have the identical setup and mod load order when attempting multiplayer.

Credits
All of the texts and entries used in making this submod are not my original work, and are credited to the DEI team.
I have merely rearranged & edited existing content from DEI and the R2 native files to create this submod.
Seriously, go make a donation for DEI or something. The project deserves it.

No starting unit sizes cannot be changed without editing startpos. That is very difficult to do. You'll just have to ignore that, unfortunately.

the starting units of hastati still only have two hundred men? is there a fix?

Can anybody double check and confirm this crash?

That's strange.. this mod doesn't have anything that should conflict with future updates.

That makes sense, thanks so much :)

main_unit_tables is the one that updates unit strength. You must make sure it overrides other mods that do the same. add @@_ in front of the table name to ensure it only overwrites a specific part.

I've tried playing around with the unit strength/numbers with other units for my own mod on PFM, but the unit numbers in game don't seem to change for me. Which table(s) did you use to change the unit strength/numbers for this mod? Thanks and great mod btw :)

No.. sorry. Anybody can make such a mod though. It's really not that hard.
