DEI - Primus Pilus

Description
THIS MOD REQUIRES Divide Et Impera parts 1,2 and 3!!

_______________________________________________________________
Introduction & Contents
Was it annoying to only have cavalry as Roman generals early in the game? Did you ever wonder why you can't station a young general with a cheaper retinue of veteran infantry to garrison a province so your more experienced veteran commander can recruit fresh troops and head off elsewhere? Wasn't it mildly uncomfortable to see so many Praetorian Guards posted throughout your empire when there should only be one attached to the Emperor at all times? If so, this mod is for you!

The changes are as follows:
  • You can now recruit early and late Triarii as well as Veteran Legionnaries and Cohors Evocati as general units. They all upgrade to one another as to form a smooth transition.
  • Polybian Praetorians, Marian Praetorians and Imperial Praetorian Guards have all had their maintenance costs increased, and are capped at 10 per campaign. To compensate, all of them has been slightly buffed with better melee attack and morale.
  • Praetorian Cavalry has been capped at 5 per campaign instead of 10, and is more expensive to maintain, but has better melee attack and morale.
  • All of the Praetorian units mentioned above now can only be recruited within Italia and Latium.

Installation & Compatibility
  • To install, first subscribe to this mod, and place this mod above the 3 DEI parts in the mod launcher.
  • If you have other submods for DEI which you want to play with, simply place this mod over them as well to make sure the changes within this mod override them all. If you want to play this mod with my other submods, also place this mod on top of them.
  • This mod is save game compatible and will likely be compatible with all future versions of DEI. I will update this mod should the combat system of vanilla DEI be overhauled once more.
  • Although this mod will be multiplayer compatible, multiplayer in R2 is often a very buggy process that I will not be able help much should it become an issue. All I can say regarding this is make sure both parties have the identical setup and mod load order when attempting multiplayer.

Credits
All of the texts and entries used in making this submod are not my original work, and are credited to the DEI team.
I have merely rearranged & edited existing content from DEI and the R2 native files to create this submod.
Seriously, go make a donation for DEI or something. The project deserves it.

I see. Thank you for your work.

If there is no difference at all, then it's being overwritten by another mod. Even if that part of this mod is not functioning, it shouldn't impact the game too much, since the main function is to add the option of minor general infantry units for the Romans.

The description says that Praetorians' morale and melee attacks have been slightly enhanced to compensate for their cap of 10.

This mod does not change Praetorian stats.

Does not seem to work. I checked in both custom battles and in the grand campaign and the praetorian stats remain unchanged.
