Mod Description
Adds five experimental UNSC armour upgrades to help flush out halo scenarios.
FEATURES: M850B - Utilizing the M850 Grizzly Armoured Mobile Weapons Platform, this variants replaces the dual-mounted M310 smooth-bore high-velocity cannon with a M71 Anti-Aircraft Gun. A powerful pneumatically powered, air-cooled anti-aircraft weapon that performs reliably against many hostile aircraft. Its high rate of fire allows the M71 to strip away the armour of Covenant aircraft with relative impunity, especially when the craft fly at low altitudes, such as the Type-25 Spirit and Type-52 Phantom and the Type-26 Banshee. The M71 can even quickly disable the shields of low-flying Seraph fighters. M850C - Utilizing the M850 Grizzly Armoured Mobile Weapons Platform, this variants replaces the dual-mounted M310 smooth-bore high-velocity cannon with a M95 Guided Missile Weapon System. The M95 GMWS is a smaller counterpart to the M97 Lance, though Unlike the M97 designed for both atmospheric and space engagements, the M95 is a solely terrestrial Surface-to-air missile battery. Once past the shields, its ordnance is capable of destroying a Seraph fighter with a just few Missiles and is even able to cripple a Covenant heavy corvettes with just a 1-2 salvos. M850D- Utilizing the M850 Grizzly Armoured Mobile Weapons Platform, this variants replaces the dual-mounted M310 smooth-bore high-velocity cannon with a M996 Launcher. It can fire all twelve of its 230 mm rockets in under 10 seconds. The Launcher has eleven usable range modes available for firing: - 997 to 1,342 metres (ETA 21-17 seconds) - 1,281 to 1,724 metres (ETA 24-19 seconds) - 1,676 to 2,256 metres (ETA 27-22 seconds) - 2,190 to 2,946 metres (ETA 31-25 seconds) - 2,846 to 3,829 metres (ETA 36-38 seconds) - 3,729 to 5,018 metres (ETA 41-35 seconds) - 4,927 to 6,630 metres (ETA 47-38 seconds) - 6,366 to 8,566 metres (ETA 53-44 seconds) - 8,242 to 11,091 metres (ETA 61-51 seconds) - 10,599 to 14,263 metres (ETA 69-59 seconds) - 13,415 to 18,052 metres (ETA 78-65 seconds) It also has two more selectable (but barely targetable) range modes: - 17,169 to 23,104 metres (ETA 88-73 seconds) - 22,356 to 30,083 metres (ETA 101-82 seconds) Selectable but completely untargetable range modes: - 29,981 to 40,344 metres (ETA N/A) - 38,816 to 52,232 metres (ETA N/A) - 50,458 to 67,898 metres (ETA N/A) The last three range modes cannot actually be used because the artillery computer's map is not large enough to allow the user to target a position from within the minimum/maximum range arcs. M808B4 - Utilizing the M808 Main Battle Tank Chassis, this variants replaces the M512 Smooth Bore High Velocity Cannon with twin Oerlikon GDF-069 35 mm Autocannons. It has an effective firing range of between 750 metres up to a maximum firing range of 2,500 metres. Accuracy-wise, it has a dispersion of 0.0045 rad regardless of distance.Shells are always fired simultaneously in bursts of two. They are high-explosive (HE) based and have a blast radius of 2.4 metres. While not intended to be armour piercing, they do have the ability to penetrate light vehicle armour up to a depth of 60.48 millimetres. While the launcher pods mounted on both sides of the turret have four long range infrared guided Titan surface-to-air missiles. They can lock onto aircraft at distances of up to 4.5 km away and are flying at speeds of less than 1,800 km/h. The seeker's lock-on cone is limited to 30 degrees, but it has a field of regard extending out to 40 degrees. It has a 40% chance to lose lock against countermeasures. M808B5 - Utilizing the M808 Main Battle Tank Chassis, this variants replaces the M512 Smooth Bore High Velocity Cannon with a M384 Cannon 155 mm Howitzer. For self-defence, the Scorcher also has an RCWS turret fitted on top that is armed with a dual-mount 12.7 mm heavy machine gun/40 mm automatic grenade launcher. It has a muzzle velocity of 810 m/s. Without a firing solution selected, the Howitzer 155 mm can fire one shell every 7 seconds (~ 8 rounds per minute). It also takes 7 seconds to switch between munition types. The Howitzer has five range modes available for firing: - Close range: 826 to 2,415 metres (ETA 30-22 seconds) - Medium range: 2,059 to 6,021 metres (ETA 48-35 seconds) - Far range: 5,271 to 15,414 metres (ETA 78-56 seconds) - Further range: 14,644 to 42,818 metres (ETA 130-96 seconds) - Extreme range: 22,881 to ~67,112 metres (ETA 162-117 seconds) Overlaps occur in the following ranges: - 2,059-2,415 metres (Close and Medium) - 5,271-6,021 metres (Medium and Far) - 14,644-15,414 metres (Far and Further) - 22,881-42,818 metres (Further and Extreme) Unfortunately, this means that when simply using the built-in artillery computer, the Howitzer can only perform MRSI strikes in narrow nearby bands, or in the large band beyond ~23 km. It is also unable to have more than two volleys landing on the same target at the same time. Note however that the built-in computer tends towards using low-angle trajectories. The Howitzer is capable of firing at up to an 80 degree angle from flat ground. This means that it is technically capable of getting multiple volleys to land on the same target simultaneously, but it would require manual calculation of the appropriate trajectories. In addition to the standard HE shells, 6 different sub-munition types are also available, these include: - 2 rounds of infrared-guided (heat seeking) shells - 6 rounds of scatter shells that can cover an area with anti-personnel (AP) mines - 2 rounds of cluster shells that can saturate an area with a hail of explosive fragments - 6 rounds of deployable white smoke shells that can saturate an area instantly - 2 rounds of laser-guided shells - 6 rounds of scatter shells that can cover an area with anti-tank (AT) mines forming a total of 56 shells that can be loaded
