(abridged) FAQ
See the README.txt (it's in caps for a reason, k)for a more detailed description as well as the full, unabridged, not-terrible FAQ.

Q: Why won't the map show up in Additional Maps?
A: Copy the map file from this folder:
C:\Users\WindowsUsername\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS\Into a New Century (v 120)\map

And paste it into this folder:
C:\Users\WindowsUsername\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\Maps

Q: What do you mean I "officially need" [insert dlc here]?
A: "Officially" as in "The mod shouldn't even start at all without the DLC but it's technically possible and a long time ago a few people said it worked and nobody has said otherwise so just to be on the safe side I tell people they need it anyway because when people report bugs (aka migraine generators) there's one less possible point of failure to deal with and that I can't even promise to help or even be willing to help in the first place. Officially."

Q: Why isn't Monaco / Luxembourg / Montenegro / [insert nation that is relatively unimportant in historical global affairs here] represented on the scenario map?
A: Space reasons, mostly. Also because I don't trust Montenegrins. I don't want to talk about it.

Q: Why are some cities seemingly not placed where they should be? (e.g. Athens being located in Peloponnia instead of Attica)
A: Because it's better for gameplay, and also because I derive a sick sort of joy from drinking the delicious tears of geography majors. Full (actual, non-substance abuse rage-induced) answer in the readme.

Q; Will you ever enable (scientific/diplomatic/cultural/time/custom type victories?)
A: The answer varies, but yes, probably sometime soon?. See readme for full answer.

Q: Why does my game keep crashing?
A: Maybe it's your computer, maybe it's my mod. Check to make sure you meet the requirements and if so, file a bug report.

Excellent mod, I'd even say it's better than Noel's WW2 mod when it comes to detail and realism

This one is only half finished.
Half the city states say TXT_KEY_CITYSTATE etc and a lot of the civilisations seem half finished as well. Eg in the diplomacy screen Australia says The Celts - similar with Inca, Aztecs, and Iroquois. The date also starts past 2000. Which is a shame because otherwise it would be good.

great mod, but at the place where you choose your civ, you can only select America or Persia (Italy in some cases)... and the selection for america disappears when you click 'back'

(just for reference, I'm playing with those but maybe it's too many mods :s or at least, too much for such an evolved huge map with all the units from the beginning, if someone can tell me which mods would be conflicting with which, thank you !)

(supercarrier, stealth bomber on carrier, unlimited air unit on 1 city, growing fog, emigration, movement mod, naval indirect fire, infoaddict, 1turn tile improvements, tactical nuclear missile, military madness, tomahawk cruise missile, modern military buildings 1, easy promotions, artificial unintelligence, promotions pack -no dll-, improved air recon, free buildings when researched, quick turns, Mutually Asured destruction (MAD), Razecapitals, days of sadat ukown soldier memorial wonder etc)

Hi, my game is always crashing on this mod before I end the 1st turn. I was wondering if it was meant to be played without any other mods ?

I'm having the rather weird issue that every single game I've played of this seems to go exactly the same- France always declares war on Italy (and has war declared on it by Germany, Austria, and the Ottomans) on the third turn, and then weird stuff happens, like Canada going to war with Australia, or Britain attacking the Dutch. Any suggestions?

What kind of earth map did you use in your mod? is it your custom map? This is the best earth map for Civ5 I've ever seen in my life.
