a hamlet world!!!!

Description
World-hopping is not just too easy, it upsets the entire balance of the game. Each world not only possess an individual atmosphere and rhythm, it also presents particular challenges and above all limitations, which you are not supposed to be able circumvent by running to some fancy chair, but which are instead supposed to stimulate your gameplay and provide a color and a tone your world-building. Everytime I world-hop, I end up deleting the slot a bit later, because it always feels like, not only that the peace of the world is destroyed, but also that the entire feeling of the world is just gone. And not only is this a question of resources and materials such as the availability of gold when you connect ROG and Hamlet, or a sentimental feeling of division between two different worlds and two different bases, but that, without hard limitations and concrete challenges, the game ends up being boring.

This mod replaces the Can of Silly String in the Hamlet Royal Galery with a 100-pice oinc.

it's just a question of how much you get from your own creativity with more or less limitations. I enjoy playing with more

The fun I find in Don't Starve is when I'm mostly past the point of survival, save for the simple activity of food gathering, and the majority of the gameplay revolves around decorating, and the large, sandbox portion of the game that involves decoration and flourishing whatever place you choose to stay at. In this way, world-hopping fits really well, as it allows me several different methods of getting various materials, and various different landscapes for me to pick at and terraform to my liking. Such is a sandbox game at its best! That is why I enjoy world-hopping, and using the teleportato as much as I do :)

Also, I understand the mindset of playing Don't starve for the survival aspect, but I think I would like to present my mindset, just so you can see where i'm coming from. Don't Starve is like spelunky, in that the moment-to-moment gameplay isn't... really that challenging at all, it simply has a lot of tiny little "Gotcha!" moments where the game punishes you severely for, in the longrun, a tiny little mistake, and sends you all the way back to the beginning, in most scenarios. I personally don't find this game design fun, it is simply punishing. Those are two different things, there's a good reason why Oxygen Not Included allows and encourages the player to load a save whenever things go awry. Which is why I play with mods that allow me to reload saves, in an environment where other players aren't around to revive me.

i never understand this mindset :P think of the world as a whole; the constant has many regions to it, and each dlc is one slice of the constant. The world can feel disconnected when the method to exploring these is so disjointed, but simply keeping the idea in mind that, for example, shipwrecked simply takes place somewhere in the pseudo southern hemisphere of the constant, RoG taking place in the northern somewhere, and hamlet being some secluded, high up plateau always helps me understand that yeah, this entire thing is a whole world, not 3 seperate worlds that i use a little portal gun between.
