Description






For all your psyfocus storage needs, a battery for anima! The obelisk is a new meditation object, charging it with psyfocus instead of your pawn receiving it. You're able to withdraw from the obelisk, and meditate to fill it up, while being able to toggle between storage mode and meditation mode. Fancy effects and animations included!

Any psycaster can meditate at the obelisk, but only assigned pawns will fill up the obelisk instead of their own psyfocus bar. You can assign pawns for who can both withdraw and deposit using the buttons when selecting the obelisk. Pawns will autonomously fill their psifocus instead of meditating if they're assigned to take from the obelisk, or you can directly tell them to take from it. Up to 10 pawns can be assigned to a single obelisk, works flawlessly with multiple obelisks as well.

100% of a pawns psyfocus bar is 1.0 unit, by default the Anima Obelisk will be able to hold 10, so you can store up to 10 psyfocus bars worth, which is adjustable in the settings.

The more charged up the obelisk is, the brighter it will glow. The runes on the obelisk even spell out PSYFOCUS! Don't forget about the pulsing rune circle too; and the more meditating pawns, the more psyorbs that will flicker about!

Q: Why can't my colonist charge the obelisk?
A: If their psyfocus is full, they wont meditate; cast some spells or wait for it to decay over time, and make sure they're assigned.

Q: Why does the obelisk cost so much to build?
A: It's not meant to be used too early in the game as it can be pretty OP, the decently high cost makes it a little more balanced, especially if you want to use multiple.

Inspiration:
The idea was to have one colonist meditate all the time and have everyone else take psyfocus from the obelisk instead of them meditating themselves, that way they don't have to waste time meditating every day so they can concentrate on the more important jobs.

The "rightclick" menu works like a charm. It is not possible to "withdraw" when psyfocus is full but pawn is assigned to get pysfocus automatically it will result in them keep trying to get it constantly even with full psyfocus. Nothing is drawn from the obelisk they just stand there trying again and again.

I do not know why, but any pawn I assign to get the psyfocus from the obelisk just stands there trying to fill their psyfocus over and over again even though it is full.
