Description
You do not need the VSI thruster recolor mod to fly this vessel. (but it does look nicer)

Intro
GoldoCorps first space worthy combat ship. It is a bit small, and it won’t win any fleet engagements. But it is the blueprint for a larger fleet!

Stats
This ship is a patrol ship. It has a jump drive and is pretty quick. Perfect to chase any pirates. And its balanced gun layout will make sure that the pirates will not survive. However, this ship is small. And won’t survive an actual capital ship engagement. In these situations, its best to play support and never leave the side of your bigger ships.

Why this ship
This ship doesn’t look that important but it’s very important for me because it’s the first working ion/hydrogen ship I have made for GoldoCorp its going to be the blueprint for all goldoships after. This space design has a similar feel to the atmo designs but is just a bit more space worthy in several places. The biggest thing is the bottom which now has a massive red Armor plate to balance top bottom more. The ship (hopefully) feels more like a spaceship now. And not a flying boat (like the atmo ships).

May this little patrol corvette serve you well. It might find yourself in an uphill battle. But this ship will not disappoint.

but warfare 2 update happened and screwed the scripts making those rockets fire over.
just turn of the script and turn on the rocket launchers.

Nice little ship! The rocket launchers dont appear to be firing though, not sure whats going on there?

Out of all of the ships I consider to be "epic" on the workshop, your GC Corvette is one of a few that is actually practical in a live Keen server. It has done a-lot within a narrow margin and you have done it well.

At the same time I learned a -lot about ship design as I was relatively new to the game as a "serious" casual.

So hats off to you Sir.

Then of course I decided being limited to space had gone on for long enough so I added atmo thrusters and did loads of crash and weapons tests in creative to eventually get what I call "Steve 2.1" (in honor of my dear departed ship known as Steve).

You've made a hell of a ship, out of the box it's the perfect weapons platform for defensive and offensive operations. (In Creative) I've yet to fly this against a ship that could disable it before it disabled them and STILL sometimes be able to jump away to safety. One test had what looked like major exterior damage, I jumped away, left cockpit... still pressurized lol.

When my friend told me he had a ship printer I saw it was large enough to do this up, so I trucked over all the mats with a JD, he went offline while I used his printer. When he and my other friend came back on they were blown away with how epic the "vanilla" Corvette was.

From comments on elegance to noting the wisdom of both its interior and exterior design, there was nothing immediately apparant that wasn't perfect. At one point, one of them suggested removing the day room, mess and quarters but I refused... in my mind those were necessary components. So I gave it Lara Croft butt syndrome (at first it was just steel plates covering the 2 rear JDs) and later when I had nothing to do I refined the "rear" shape better to match the rest of the ship.

I like your modifications and if it's not a direct reupload with just some different paint on it I'm ok with it.
But I am super stoked people are actually using my ships in survival, especially to the point that they would improve on the design in their own way. thank you for that :healthyhearthling:

This has been one of my favorite ships to fly around, it's so beautiful and capable its as though it was carved by the angels. Well done on the design 10/10
