Octabrain (Duke Nukem 3D)

Descrição
The Octabrain, a horrifying enemy from Duke Nukem 3D.

A long time ago, I cooked up several ideas for SFM videos I wanted to make. One such idea I had was to try and make an fake trailer for a Duke Nukem 3D remaster. I would create a bunch of the enemies, fake maps, fancy effects, etc. I had planned to start on the video back in late 2016. Needless to say, the project never got off the ground.

Octabrain was a remnant of that project. I wanted to emulate the original style as much as I was able. I ended up fudging it a bit, and I'm quite pleased with the result. While it's not a perfect one to one, I think it captures the feeling close enough.

Notes

-He features two skins: The regular/docile skin and the attacking/psionic blast skin.

-There are no facial flexes. I did not think he needed any.

-The brain/back has a jiggle bone.

-Mandibles are the inner graspers, tusks are the outer ones.

-I figure I might as well mention he has an egg "hole" on his underside. It was rather barren between the tentacles, and it classic Duke style I figured he'd probably need an area to lay slimer eggs from. I'm not going to use any anatomical terms for it in order to avoid it showing up in the search results lol.

I'm currently in the process of finishing anything half done in my workshop folder. This guy was the only DN3D model I ever started, mainly as a test to see how the art style would translate to SFM.

Sadly, there are no other models of this kind. It's unlikely I'll make any more. If there is an overwhelming demand for DN3D content, I might consider making more, but not at this time.

Are you going to upload any of the other DN3D models you re-created ?
