Lightsaber Ghost Templates [WOTC]

Description
DESCRIPTION
Adds lightsaber ghost templates for added variety when using lightsabers. Includes variants of regular lightsabers, saberstaves and lightsaber pikes. These are meant to be used with Iridar’s XSkin. They cannot be equipped in the armory like regular weapons. They are implemented this way in order to avoid unnecessary bloat in the armory list from having 15 additional weapons.

You will have to turn off the OWNED radio button for XSkin in order to use these ghost templates. Weapon category for these ghost templates is set to lightsaber by default for regular lightsabers and the darksaber and saberstaff for the saberstaves and lightsaber pikes. These settings can be adjusted in the XComGhostSabers config file.

Based on my tests, these Ghost Templates work to reskin either the sabers in the Revised Jedi Class Mod or the WOTC Lightsabers (Expanded) mod and they also work in conjunction with the Jedi Class Mod’s abilities, the only exception I’ve observed thus far being that the Darksaber does not work with the saber throw ability (no idea why).

Using them to reskin swords should work as well but (with the exception of the Darksaber variant specifically marked as secondary) they are meant to reskin weapons in the primary slot, thus the Primary Secondaries requirement.

KNOWN ISSUES

For everyone like me who first installed XSkin for this very mod and has no prior experience: I HIGHLY recommend watching the 3 videos on the XSkin mod page, those are super explanatory and helped me a lot personally.

hi so i was reading the comments about how to make this mod work, was having trouble understanding at first with having to turn off the owned radio but when i figured that out.
I found the button an all it did first was make the tier level versions of the light sabers available but not the actual skins that change the look. But, i looked more into Iridar Xskin options in the Mod config menu and seen the option to turn on Skin sets witch by default the option is disabled an hidden so no one can see the option in the first place.
so once you change that option to enable from being hidden you can then see it at the bottom right hand corner, you just turn skin sets to OFF an then the skins for the lightsabers will show up ;) glad that i figured this out on my own lol
the skins make the sabers look so much better ! great mod

The dark saber has a secondary variant like that but not the others. Might implement something along those lines if I decide to do more work on this mod but no such plans at the moment.

@ Astarot: To use as regular swords, turn off the "Category" box as well.

Any chance of more variations of Lightsaber, like the "Ardent Defender's Lightsaber/Dualsaber" from TOR?

Just weird because this mod worked fine before (before I reinstalled all the mods) without having to edit the config files.

For some reason is not showing up for regular swords for me, Even when I take off the "Owned" option. Any advice?

lol thanks, but yeah like i said, aside from the darksaber blade not showing you can workaround it by turning off the equipable and slot categories
