Welcome
Prime
What is CS:GO Prime?
CS:GO Prime is a feature that is used to verify player accounts. Verified accounts can expect a more pleasant gaming experience and additional bonuses that unverified players will not receive.

Why was it created? Prime was designed to improve the quality of matchmaking by separating ordinary players from so-called smurfs (people with a lot of experience who deliberately play on low-rank accounts) and cheaters (people who use illegal software).

What are the benefits of Prime status?
A lot of new players are wondering if it’s better to buy CS:GO or use the free version. As is common knowledge, a product that is offered for free does not offer the same quality as the paid version.
The same is true for CS:GO Prime, which has many benefits and changes gameplay positively.

These are the most important advantages of Prime status:
  • Better experience: The main advantage of Prime status is that it improves the quality of the gameplay and gives you a better chance of an ‘even’ match. It makes it more likely that you’ll find friendly players with similar skill levels.
  • Less cheaters: Starting a match in Prime mode means a better chance of hitting honest players who don’t cheat or use illegal software.
  • Access to all servers: In addition, players who have decided to buy Prime can join and use all servers managed by the community (including those VAC-secure).
  • Additional bonuses: Last but not least, there are various bonuses and in-game items (souvenirs, skins and mailboxes) available only to players with a Prime account.

How did Prime change CS:GO?
With the arrival of many exciting games that were free to play, some players decided not to continue playing CS:GO. The scale of the problem was so serious that a lot of people were asking themselves if “CS:GO had died”.

You could say that the developers came at the perfect time to add Prime status and make CS:GO a free game. This feature has changed the game completely and breathed a second life into it.

This is how the game changed after the addition of Prime:
  • More players online: Even though CS:GO was experiencing a huge drop in players between 2018 and 2019, a few months after the addition of Prime, the online player record was broken. In December 2019, 900,000 people were playing simultaneously.
  • Less cheaters in Prime mode: Even though Prime matchmaking doesn’t guarantee a game without cheaters, it greatly increases the likelihood of fair play. Most rogue players use non-Prime mode.
  • Playing for free: With the addition of Prime status, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has become free. If you want to ‘just play’ or see if this game suits your tastes, you can do it without spending money.

How does Prime matchmaking work?
The principle of Prime matchmaking is very simple. Players with a verified CS:GO Prime account are given the opportunity to play with other players with this status.

This obviously works both ways. If you don’t have a Prime account, you can start matchmaking, but you will play with players who don’t have a Prime account either.

If you intend to join the waiting room with players who don’t have Prime status, your game will automatically go into non-Prime mode (people playing free to play or without an active Prime account).

Here are 2 sample scenarios:
  • If you are a Prime player and you join the waiting room with another Prime players, the entire match will be played in Prime mode.
  • If you are a Prime player and join the waiting room with at least 1 non-Prime player, the match will go into non-Prime mode.
As you can see, your friends influence whether or not you play in Prime mode. Convince them to get that status!

How to get CS:GO Prime?
Getting started in Prime mode and joining secure Valve servers brings many of the benefits you’ve learned in the previous section of this guide. Now you probably want to learn how to get CS:GO Prime.

Here are 2 ways to activate Prime matchmaking:

1. Get Prime for free
The first way to get Prime status is fully free. When something is free, it usually has some disadvantages. In this case, the downside is that you have to devote some time and confirm your phone number.
Here’s what you need to do to get Prime status for free:
  • Step 1: Reach 21 profile level (Lieutenant) in CS:GO. To achieve this level, you must earn 100,000 XP by playing on official servers. The most cost-effective way to achieve the experience points is in tournament mode, but it requires the whole team to play together. If you want to soloq and play well individually, casual mode is the best way.
  • Step 2: Verify your phone number on Steam. To assign a phone number go to Steam > Settings > Account > View account details > Manage your phone number. After you have entered the number, you will receive an SMS with the verification code.
  • Step 3: Click “Play” and start Prime matchmaking. Once you have verified the number and reached 21 level, you don’t have to do anything more. Prime status will be granted automatically.
2. Buy Prime on Steam
Another way to get a Prime is to buy it at the Steam store. Immediate access to a Prime account costs $14.99 (US) / €13.25 (Europe).
Resolution
16:9 or 4:3 what should i use?

Good Question Jimmy! But you should find out yourself. Everything has advantages and disadvantages.

First of all: It is even legal to play with different settings on events (Tournaments etc.)

I played with 16:9 first and changed to 4:3, since that i got even better at the game.

  • 16:9 : Your FOV is better than in 4:3 because the Sites are chopped of. You are able to see more.
  • 4:3 : Like i mentioned above, the sites are chopped off. You are limited in the FOV but it could help you with stress because you have a smaller area to look at.
  • 4:3 stretched : Even better imo. The Enemy will get wider even if it will only look like it. It could help you hitting the enemy!
Config / Autoexec
Nearly every Player has a Config and or a autoexec.

What is autoexec.cfg file in CSGO?
  • It is configuration files located inside the CSGO installation folder. A simple text file that allows you to load custom settings while playing the game. Custom settings allow you to add your own keyboard controls, mouse settings, video settings, etc. You can also add additional features like Jump Throw or Bind Jump to Scroll key.
How to create an autoexec and use it
Creating an autoexec is actually really simple if you just follow the right steps. First, we recommend that you download Notepad++[notepad-plus-plus.org] so that you can easily edit your file once you’ve created it. This is a perfectly safe program that’s used by millions of people around the world, so no need to worry about this at all. With Notepad++ downloaded (it’s a very small program, so it shouldn’t take long at all) you’re all set to go.

  • Go to your CS:GO config folder. To find this, go to your Steam library and right click on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Then click on ‘Properties‘ and after that click ‘Browse Local Files‘.
  • You’ll get to a map with lots of folders in it. Double click on ‘csgo‘, then go to ‘cfg‘. You’ll see a long list of files and documents, but don’t worry about that.
  • Right click somewhere that’s not a file and click ‘New‘ -> ‘Text Document‘. You should name this ‘autoexec.txt‘ when you make it.
  • Open your brand new autoexec.txt file and write your favorite commands. What you use will be dependent on what you personally want, but there are plenty of resources online such as This Autoexec Creator[bzl.no] to help you, though you’ll have to use a different crosshair generator (Such as this one[tools.dathost.net]) than the one they link to since that link no longer seems to be working. Alternatively you can download the workshop map crashz' Crosshair Generator and make or pick one there. Just press ‘share’ once you’re done and copy the text that the map puts out to your autoexec.
  • Write ‘host_writeconfig‘ at the last line (the autoexec creator that we linked already does this).
  • Once you’re all done writing your autoexec lines, press ‘File‘ -> ‘Save As‘. You now need to name the file ‘autoexec.cfg‘ (it’s really important that you check your spelling) and save it as ‘All Files‘.
  • Your autoexec is now ready. You’ll find that your old .txt file is still there, but you can delete that if you want since you can directly edit your autoexec using Notepad++ by right clicking and clicking ‘Edit with Notepad++’.

Now your autoexec needs to launch every time you launch the game, so navigate to your Steam library again.
  • Right click ‘Counter-Strike: Global Offensive’.
  • Click ‘Properties’.
  • Click ‘Set Launch Options’.
  • Write ‘+exec autoexec.cfg’ and then click ‘OK’.
You’re all set!
Game Modes
Competition Gamemodes
  • Competitive
The most famous gamemode in CS:GO is “Competitive”. In that mode two teams of 5 players are fighting in 30 rounds against each other. Both teams are portraying the “Terrorist” and the “Antiterrorist” for 15 rounds each. The game ends as soon as one of the teams reaches 16 wins. However, is the counter on 15 to 15, the game ends with a draw.

  • Wingman
In “Wingman” two teams with each 2 players fight on smaller maps in fewer rounds for their victory. Furthermore, in 16 rounds the teams compete as the “Terrorist” and the “Antiterrorist” in turns. Therefore, one team needs just 9 rounds to win the game or the game ends with 8 to 8 with a draw.

  • Danger Zone
This new mode is based on the principle of “Battle Royale”. In two-value teams or – if you do not have a partner – in one-value teams, you are fighting against 18 other players. On the map you can find weapons, munitions, money and other equipment to survive in the area. Furthermore, the last group which survives wins the game.

Casual Gamemodes
Shorter and fewer rounds, more options to win and interesting game physics give these modes a certain variety. Additionally, there are no ranks or similar characteristics. Hence, they focus more on the “fun- & lol-factor”.

  • Casual
“Casual” has the most commonalities to “Competitive”, but still shows essential differences. Bigger teams (up to 10 players in each group) and fewer rounds, help you to get known to the maps, as well as weapons. Apart from that, in this mode team damage is off, so it is not possible to hurt or to burn your own teammates down.

  • Deathmatch
In that mode you have 10 minutes time to kill as many people as possible, while you can only hurt the opposing team. Per each kill you can earn up to 20 points. After a while a special weapon appears and a kill with that weapon gives you 5 points more than usually. Another speciality is the “random spawning”. Thus, you can spawn everywhere on the map. Therefore, it is a perfect mode to train your skills.

War Gamemodes
On new and smaller maps, you mostly have different goals in each mode. Discover the variety of CS:GO and have fun while you try out these gamemodes!
  • Arms Race
Here everybody competes against each other, since there are no teams and no friends. If you kill someone, you will earn a new weapon. Nevertheless, if you are killed by a knife, you will go one weapon down. Goal is to be the first one, who kills one player with a golden knife.

  • Demolition
In “Demolition” you are playing the “Terrorist” or the “Antiterrorist” in 6 player teams again, but this time on smaller maps. To end the round, you have to defeat the opposing team. Nonetheless, there is one difference to the other modes, there is no shop. To earn a new weapon for the next round, you have to kill someone. If you kill more than one player, you will earn a grenade too. During 10 rounds in each faction you can earn 10 different weapons.

  • Flying Scoutsman
Low gravity, higher precision and only scouts. In 5-player teams you can only win the round, if you kill everybody on the opposing team.
Sensitivity
to find your perfect sensitivity you have to start up CSGO (you should also enable Raw input in settings),

You are probably used to the sens you have right now, so switching would most likely feel weird and awkward, but trust me, after a few days with the new sens and some practicing, it will feel normal.
now that you're ready for to set up your sensitivity,
Put your mouse as far to the left you can (as long as you're comfortable with it) and swipe as far to the right as you can (as far as it's comfortable),

now it's time to change sensitivity, if this swipe made you rotate more than 180-200 degrees, you should lower your in-game sensitivity, but if the swipe made you rotate less than 180-200 degrees means that you should turn your mouse sensitivity up (DPI)

now try again, do a normal swipe, one that you are comfortable with, and fine-tune your sensitivity, when you feel like you can get a consistent swipe with a rotation of 180-200 degrees you're ready for more action, head on over to Fast Aim / Reflex Training and get used to the sensitivity.

If you came from another FPS game and wish to use the same sensitivity of that games in CSGO, then use this website[www.mouse-sensitivity.com] to calculate it.
Movement
  • Running
Running is the standard movement in the game, also the fastest possible movement a player. It is the kind of movement to use when rushing through a destination, disregarding the accuracy and stealth. Usually used at the beginning of every game, a knife in hand for maximum mobility.

When running, however, there are several things to consider. Running may give you the fastest mobility, but it produces a sound that will announce your position to the enemy, thus giving them an advantage over positioning and enable them to initiate the first attack.

  • Walking
Walking is commonly used during on a danger zone or neutral territory like entering the bomb site or unusual zones that are suspicious, switch from running to walking when at these kinds of zones, make intuition work out.

Walking will reduce almost half of mobility, but recovers a little accuracy and null footsteps. Still, for maximum accuracy, standing still provides the accurate shots.

  • Crouching
Crouching enormously reduces movement speed and makes the sensitivity sluggish and resistance to quick mouse movements, but it is a stance that provides the best accuracy.

When using rifles and other weapons that produce uncontrollable recoil, crouching may reduce these complications.

When having a long range shoot out with an enemy, crouching would highly increase accuracy and lessen a player’s vulnerable hit box

  • Strafing
This is the action of pressing the keys ‘a’ and ‘d’ interchangeably and quickly. This is often called ‘adad’. By doing this correctly, you will move slightly, so that you will make yourself more difficult to hit, and so you will be changing viewing angles.

The benefit of this is that you can do the things mentioned above, while NOT losing any accuracy, if done correctly.

This is a very situational tactic, that is often used by players peaking in and out of cover slightly. This allows them to see the position they’re watching at almost all times, as well as gives them the possibility to quickly duck back into cover after getting a shot off at the enemy.

  • Bhopping
Bunny Hopping is running while jumping regularly. The Source Engine in Counter-Strike allows players to do so which means players can strafe faster for a limited time.

Being able to move faster in CSGO is like a buff in itself, it lets you and your team reach areas much quicker than normal which is perfect for setting up an ambush. Furthermore, it’s especially beneficial for the Terrorist team on certain maps when rushing towards the Bombsites or objectives.
Train your Aim and your reaction!
To get to the optimal Reaction speed required for dominating at CSGO, aim to do 30 minutes of concentrated reaction time practice each day. Always keep your hands warm and aid your reaction time training with precision practice as well. Always keep your crosshair at head level and as you proceed forward on the map, clear out every angle by pre aming at where you think there would be an enemy before you make the peak. Peak each spot one at a time while making sure not to expose yourself to a new angle. That way, when your enemy appears you'll be aiming as close as possible to their position and can actually take a few milliseconds off your mouse adjustment time and remove chances for any error. Use the pre fire technique, essentially that is when you peak and shoot instantaneously you're not actually seeing an enemy and reacting. preemptive aiming allows you to proactively shoot your enemy before they even had a chance to react.

There's two techniques you need to be familiar with
  • Flick Shot: quickly moving your crosshair to the enemy position in an extremely short period of time.
  • Aim Tracking: keeping the crosshair on the target with extreme precision while they're in motion.

Play Deathmatch - Hop into a Deathmatch matchmaking or server and forget about your KDR. Instead, focus all of your efforts on crosshair placement and attempt to land as many headshots as possible.
Crosshair movement shouldn’t be janky but should instead flow smoothly between point to point as you traverse the map. Focus hard on getting this right until it becomes an automatic process.

Play Training Map such as:
  • Training Center 1.5c It offers a variety of different training scenarios in one glossy package. You can practice AWPing, shooting above crates, eliminating targets from a distance and so much more.

  • training_aim_csgo2 A classic training map that you’ll want to subscribe to. It’ll throw up targets at certain intervals for you to click on, and you’ve got a mind boggling array of customisation options at your disposal too. You can set the targets to spin around wildly, shoot from various distances, change their size, decrease wait time between intervals and so much more. Quick tip - move your mouse to the center of the training wall between every shot to really build up the muscle memory!

  • Aim Botz - Training A training map used by most of the pros, this gives you plenty of ways to practice landing shots on bots. Again it’s filled with customisation options to increase the difficulty as you gradually improve.

  • Yprac Practice and Warmup Learn where people peek and hide on competitive levels, practice movement in critical areas and get the upper hand. Sharpening your skills has never been this much fun. Free of charge, get it now!

All you have to do to access these training maps is to “Subscribe” to them from the Steam Workshop with the game client closed. This will download them automatically, so that when you boot up the game they will be installed.
Recoil
It should not come as a surprise to learn that things are a bit more complicated in CS:GO, with each weapon having a specific recoil pattern that will cause your shots to fly off in all kinds of unexpected directions if you don't tame it.

What is a spray pattern?

each weapon reacts in a different manner. The AK47 will react different to the M4A1-S, for example.

The effect is more noticeable when you stand still, face a wall and hold the trigger until the magazine is emptied. The AK47 kicks upward fast, veering to the right, then to the left as the final few rounds are fired off. The M4A1-S veers left, then right, and in a steadier fashion.

So, different weapons all have different “spray patterns” which are a result of two different factors:
  • Inaccuracy
  • Recoil
Inaccuracy refers to the randomness exerted on a fixed recoil pattern. Walking, jumping and climbing ladders are the main kickers when it comes to messing about with a gun’s spray pattern.

Recoil functions just as you’d expect. It’s the fixed pattern that’s unique to each weapon and can be characterised as the motion of the gun when the trigger is pulled. Recoil decays gradually over time, so take your finger off the trigger and the weapon model will quickly default to its original position.

Recoil decay and spray transfers

Recoil Decay:
The further you are in your spray, the longer it’ll take for your recoil to decay. This is something to bear in mind when you’re spraying down a target and want to switch your aim to someone else.

It’s quite difficult to practice handling recoil decay because it’s more about developing a sense for where you’re at within a spray. Despite being tricky, it’s still doable. Here’s what you can do:
  • Tap the trigger on a different target once you’ve fired off a few shots.
  • Practice burst firing on a single point. Then burst fire on a target, rest for a split second, then begin burst firing again, all while trying to control the recoil.
  • Burst, strafe, stop, burst. Repeat.

Spray Transfer:
The act of flicking your aim to a different spot while in the middle of a spray is something of an artform.

Practicing this on a local server, or on some bots. Focus less on where your crosshair’s positioned when transferring, and more on where the bullets are travelling.

Smokes/Flashes/Nades
As a Terrorist you have to get on site to plant the bomb. As a Counter-Terrorist you have to protect your site but how do you do this? Nades will help you!

As a CT you can Smoke entrances to the side, this will stop most of the T's to run onto your site and it will take important seconds from them!

A Grenade can damage players if you hear them and a Molotov can Stop your enemy from entering the site.

Flashbangs will blind your enemy if he will be able to see it, so you can take him out when he is blind.

A Decoy grenade will make gun shots noises to distract the enemy and feed them false information.

Economy/TeamPlay
Economy:

Economy management is very crucial in the CS GO game. It is very important to calculate the economy of the enemies and use it to your advantage. Try judging when your enemies are close to being reset and use that to your advantage.

The economy is increasing with more players surviving after each match. If 3 players are remaining they have a fair amount, if 4 sufficient amounts. If 5 players are remaining, they have a ton of money. Check how many players were alive for the last few rounds and make a rough calculation of their economy.

Try buying out when you feel the opponent has a low economy. Save your economy if you think the enemies have a sufficient amount of economy. Adjust this properly to gain an advantage over your opponents. This CS GO tip will help you save money when necessary in the game.

TeamPlay:

Team play is a great factor in any online game. In CS GO you play as a team of 5 players. Build a team for you with your friends and okay together. Having a good crew can help you understand your mistakes and upgrade your skills. Good teammates can correct you and tell you what you should improve.

Always play while communicating with your teammates. Share the probable enemy locations, crucial game data, valuable information, etc. Avoid talking too much while gaming since observing the sounds is a crucial factor.
Do not stress out your teammate if you die early and you are spectating him. Try to maintain healthy communication by providing correct information. Keep in mind that teamwork is key to win anything.

CS GO is a very difficult game. It takes an abundant amount of time to play the game to improve yourself in this game. Don’t quit if you are not able to improve in the game.
Sound
Counter-Strike: Global offensive has many sound cues that can help you secure an edge over your opponents. But to utilize those properly you need to be able to identify the sounds you here quickly.

You should have a Gaming Headset if you really play for the higher Ranks. You need to hear movement if you want to win! This can help to make rounds easier.

If you hear a lot of Footsteps on B, you can Smoke the entrance and some of your Mates could rotate so that the Chance is higher to win the Round.

But as a T you could hear Steps of your Enemy, you could locate them at an area.

Press Shift if you want to move quietly, as a T you could walk right in front of Bombsite B and the enemy probably can't react quickly enough to protect them.

Here are two maps for Sound Training:
  • Sound Training Test and practice footstep sounds from all directions.
  • Audio Test Chamber This map helps you to determine your best speaker configuration setting, by playing repetitive in-game sounds.
RANKS
CS:GO Ranks or skill groups, is a way of pairing you with other players when playing in competitive matchmaking. It’s like the ELO rating ( is a method for calculating the relative skill levels of players in zero-sum games ), where you get a rating. Depending on your rating, you will be set up against players with the same rating/skills as yourself. If you keep winning against the other team, the system will notice and put you in a higher skill group. The algorithms for calculating the skill group is not known though, so how exactly you rank up is unknown. If you haven’t played competitive matchmaking yet, you will need to WIN 10 matches to be displayed in a skill group.

The ranks/skill groups are:

Where The Global Elite contains the absolute best players in the world and Silver I is the not so experienced players.

Ranking Method:

The ranking method is as before mentioned unknown. But based on experience, we can tell you a little bit of how it works. Your rank can be increased or decreased every round. Loosing one round will normally not decrease your rank – the system is made so that over a period of time, you should on average win 50% of the time (this is based on players experience). If you keep loosing, the system will put you in a lower skill group.

Another thing to notice, is that winning against players in a higher skill group seems to benefit your rating more positively than winning against an equal skill group. Loosing against a lower skill group will then have a bigger negative impact on the rating. One thing I noticed, is that if you keep winning and being on top of the scoreboard, the system will put you against higher ranked players. In my opinion this is to test if you should be placed in a higher skill group before actually changing the skill group. This way, it will take longer to decrease or increase the rank. This is good IMO, because you will not be de-ranked for having a bad day and makes the system more consistent.

Competitive Skill Groups FAQ
Q. What is a Skill Group?
A. Like an Elo rating in Chess, the CS:GO competitive Skill Groups predict how well players will perform when playing against other players. Two equally skilled teams should, on average, win an equal number of matches when competing against each other.

Q. Where can I see my own Skill Group?
A. Once your Skill Group has settled and you have won 10 competitive matches, your Skill Group will be displayed on the main menu.

Q. Where are Skill Groups displayed?
A. Skill Groups are displayed in the main menu, in party lobbies, and in the match scoreboard (once the Skill Group has settled).

Q. When are Skill Group emblems shown in the party lobby?
A. Any player with a settled Skill Group will display it in lobbies to other players.

Q. I’m not a very good player. Should I still use competitive matchmaking?
A. Absolutely. Competitive matchmaking will match you with other players of similar skill, which is more likely to result in a fun match than jumping into a random game.

Q. Should I avoid partying with lower skilled friends because they will hurt my rating?
A. No. Firstly, the matchmaking system will take your lower-skilled friend into consideration when finding a match. And second, the system makes a prediction about how well each team member will perform in a match. So losing a match with a lower skilled player on your team is not likely to significantly impact your Skill Group. If you always play your best then your Skill Group will provide you with well matched teammates and opponents.

Q. How can you predict my skill in only winning 10 games?
A. When you play your first game, we have no idea what your skill is. As you play more games, we use those wins and losses to make predictions about what Skill Group we think you should be in. The more games you play, the more confident the system is in predicting who the other players are that you should be playing against. Winning 10 games gives us enough data to confidently place you in a Skill Group where we think you’ll be matched up with others matching your skill level.

Q. When are Skill Group emblems shown in the scoreboard?
A. Players with settled Skill Groups will display their emblem to their friends at all times. At the end of the match, after the last rematch, any player with a settled Skill Group will display it to everyone else.

Q. Why do I see a range of Skill Groups in the end-of-match scoreboard? Shouldn’t everyone in a match have the same Skill Group?
A. Most matches have a small range of Skill Groups represented. If you see a larger range of Skill Groups then it is likely that those players came into the match as a party.
Do NOT DO List
  • DON’T aim at the floor/legs (common mistake up until DMG).
  • DON’T peek planted bomb instantly when you hear a defuse sound, wait about 3 seconds and then peek.
  • DON’T hold down mouse 1 after you haven’t killed the enemy in 10 bullets, just strafe away and wait for your recoil to settle.
  • DON’T hold shift when the enemy already knows you are there or there is only one entry (B on inferno for example).
  • DON’T reload when your in a dangerous spot and you still have more than 5-6 bullets, get safe and then reload.
  • DON’T peek when your reload isn’t finished.
  • DON’T buy a helmet when you know the enemies either have AWP’s or AK’s and your money isn’t amazing.
  • DON’T eco rounds when you have ~3500$ on T or ~4000$ on CT (again, don’t buy helmet) AND you know the enemies economy is weak.
  • DON’T (IMPORTANT) eco after you lose the pistol on CT or T (except for when you get a plant in the pistol on the T side). Buy helmet + pistol, scout or mag-7. You will be able to buy on the 4th round no matter what you do on the second round, and winning 2nd isn’t that hard considering their economy isn’t great either.
  • DON’T stand next to someone (especially AWP’ers) who are peeking on a close angle. They want to strafe back if they miss their shot and if they get blocked, this usually means instant death.
  • DON’T rush in or peek with the bomb, just drop it in a safe corner where it can’t be seen by CT’s.
  • DON’T peek in with your W/forward key, always peek while side strafing.
  • DON’T run with a nade/smoke/flash in your hand, knife is 250 units/s nades are 245 units/s.
  • DON’T flame your teammates – the game is better without, trust me.
DO’s List
  • DO prefire common spots/corners at headshot level.
  • DO fake plant to get a chance at an easy kill, just hold E till you hear the sound and then spam 1 to get your gun out.
  • DO use shift walk when fake defusing (most useful in 1 vs X), tap the bomb (tapping E to make noise) and shift walk into a wider angle, so that when the T peeks the bomb you will be in a weird angle for him.
  • DO use counter flashes when you are getting pushed as a CT. When you are getting rushed, a smoke will not detonate in time to stop the rush. A flash however, will buy some time and maybe even get you or your teammate a free kill.
  • DO use molotovs to clear out common spots and then watch as they run for their lives while you kill them.
  • DO use incendiary grenades to buy some extra time (7 sec) for your teammates to rotate.
  • DO plant the bomb in the most optimal plant available. Most of you always plant in the safest way, although a better plant can give you the upper hand in a clutch situation. Learn the different plants and when to use which.
  • DO flash in for your teammates. Most of those flashes are easy to throw and doesn’t need to be learned. Just tell your teammate your flashing for him and he can get a safe peek, maybe even a kill.
  • DO learn the various T side smokes on the maps you are playing. YoutTube is a great source for this.
  • DO accept the fact that your teammate might be better off with the AWP than you are.
  • DO buy on the 3rd round if you got a plant in the 1st or 2nd round but still lost. You will have around 4500, should be enough.
  • DO learn the recoil patterns of the most common weapons (AK, M4A1), again YouTube is a great source.
  • DO be friendly/optimistic. Your chances for a comeback is 80% higher when you keep the spirit up! Statistically proven ;-)
launch options
what exactly CSGO launch options are?
They are a set of predefined commands or settings that are applied whenever you launch Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

How can you add CSGO launch options?
Open Steam desktop application and log in to it. Then, go to your game Library and find CSGO from the list. Right-click on CSGO and choose Properties from the dropdown menu. A window with all different settings will open. Click on the “Set launch options…” located under the General tab. This will open a small window with a single text line. This is where you should input the CS GO launch options you want to the game to run on start.

Launch Option
Description
-tickrate [tick rate]
This launch option sets the tick rate of any server/single player game you run from your client to the number that you replace [tick rate] with ("-tickrate 128" recommended). In effect, any "Offline With Bots" games you play will be ran at this tickrate.
-refresh [refresh rate]
The -refresh launch option sets the refresh rate of your client: replace [refresh rate] with your desired refresh rate. The refresh rate (in hz) is how many times per second your monitor will update - at 60hz, your monitor is effectively showing 60 frames per second. For 144hz monitors, set this to "-refresh 144" so that your game refreshes 144 times a second.
-fullscreen
This launch option forces CS:GO to start in fullscreen mode.
-windowed
This launch option forces CS:GO to start in windowed mode.
-noborder
This launch option removes the border from windowed mode (i.e. there will be no Windows UI that usually shows the "X/Maximize/Minimize" buttons in the top right).
-d3d9ex
This is one of the few launch options that may offer serious performance improvements for players, it enables DirectX 9Ex which can reduce CPU memory usage by up to 40% (as mentioned in this CS:GO blog post). As of 22nd April 2019, this is enabled by default in CS:GO, so there isn't much point to using it.
+exec [file name]
This launch option will execute all commands a specified file - replace [file name] with the name of the file you wish to execute (e.g. autoexec.cfg). The file should be placed in the "Steam\SteamApps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\cfg" folder.
-disable_d3d9ex
This launch option disables DirectX 9Ex.
+mat_disable_fancy_blending 1
This launch option will "disable fancy blending" of textures, making your game's textures appear less detailed and more smooth. May increase FPS.
+cl_forcepreload 1
This is actually a console command, but commonly mislabeled as a launch option. It will force you client to preload models.
-high
This launch option will make the CS:GO process run at "high priority" on your computer. Effectively, this means that CS:GO will take priority over other processes running on your computer at a lower priority.
-r_emulate_g
This launch option only works for Windows - it will make the game emulate OpenGL, which can lead to an FPS boost.
-softparticlesdefaultoff
This launch option makes CS:GO render particles without feathering (scene depth blending).
+fps_max [amount]
This launch option sets the maximum frames-per-second your game will run at. Replace [amount] with the amount you want to limit your game to. Setting it to 0 ("-fps_max 0") will remove any limit, making your game run at the highest FPS possible.
-no-browser
This launch option may no longer work since the introduction of Panorama UI. It should disable the in-game browser that shows in servers as welcome messages (not the Steam overlay).
-nopreload
This launch option forces models not to be preloaded. Whilst this will have a different effect for every computer, chances are, this command will make games/maps load faster, but may cause worse performance during actual gameplay. This is because models not preloaded when the map/game is loading will need to be loaded at a later time, likely at the exact moment they are needed, and this will likely add extra latency. For example, if you have preloading disabled and enter an area of a map that requires you load a new model, you will need to wait for the game to load that model from your disk (slow) to memory/cache, adding latency - with preloading enabled, the model would already be in your memory, decreasing the amount of time it takes for the game to access and render that model.
-nohltv
This launch option turns off all Source TV features.
-console
This launch option makes the game start with the console opened.
-novid
This launch option makes the game skip the Valve/CS:GO intro video when you load it up - i.e. you'll go straight to the game.
-nojoy
This launch option makes the game drop all joystick support, which can decrease the amount of RAM it uses.
-limitvsconst
This launch option limits hardware vertex shader constants to 256.
-forcenovsync
This launch option forces CS:GO to not use VSync. VSync syncs the vertical refresh rate of your monitor with the FPS of your game. Whilst VSync can help prevent screen tearing and reduce power consumption, in most cases it will cause input lag, make your FPS seem slower, and cause other issues - i.e. the negatives will greatly outweigh the positives.
-threads [amount]
This launch option sets the amount of processor threads that CS:GO will use (e.g. -threads 4 will make CS:GO use 4 threads). We recommend that you do not use this launch option as it can cause instability and other problems - generally, CS:GO does a good job of managing its thread usage.
+violence_hblood 0
This launch option removes blood from the game. Since the removal of the -lv (low violence) launch option, this launch option is your best bet at getting a game close to the low violence version.
-language [language name]
This launch option makes CS:GO start in the language that you replace [language name] with - e.g. "-language english" will make CS:GO start in English.
-width [width]
This launch option sets the width of your CS:GO window in pixels (e.g. "-width 1920").
-height [height]
This launch option sets the height of your CS:GO window in pixels (e.g. "-height 1080").
+r_dynamic [0 / 1]
Like some other "launch options" in this list, this is a console command commonly mislabeled as a launch option. Use either "+r_dynamic 0" to disable dynamic lighting or "+r_dynamic 1" to enable it (default). Setting this to 0 can improve FPS slightly but will remove some lighting features from the game, like the flash from flashbangs when they are near smokes, which can cause the negatives of no dynamic lighting to outweigh the positives.
-autoconfig
This launch option will force your game to start up with the default configuration settings for the game - you can change the settings once the game has started, but when you restart with this launch option, they will be reset to default again.
Community GameModes
If you're bored of Competitive and stuff like that you can go to Community servers, there is a lot of stuff you can do!. For example :

Surfing and Bhopping, not only fun but also helps you to move better! It will take you some minutes to learn the basics but it's fun and you won't regret it!

1vs1 Server: Something that can help you at Aiming and is fun if you have no time for Matchmaking.

Zombie Escape: Fun gamemode where you try to escape from the Zombies to not get infected.
