IMC REDEEMER with DCS

Description
Search for IMC on the Workshop to see our other designs!
All IMC Vessels are completely Vanilla!

NOT SUGGESTED FOR PVP

HOW TO USE:
When docked together this combined ship must be controlled from the command shuttle in order to operate.
Set the REDEEMER's NAV CONSOLE to Autopilot - Maintain Position. Then you must power on the command shuttle. In the front of the command shuttle is a button to ASSUME COMMAND. Press that button and then you can steer and control ship from the shuttle. This also links all the discharge coils and a button has been added to control the REDEEMER's docking (although you will not get the docking guidance from the nav sonar)

When you undock the shuttle remember to switch ASSUME CONTROL off!

Also please be patient with the auto timer door when entering and exiting the command shuttle. Please do not try to press a button or switch to make it go faster as this will mess up the lighting sequence. It will not break the door though.

!AI NOTICE!
AI problems have been fixed but they can mess up the hatches. There are buttons/switches to reset them but I am working on a more automatic method.

The IMC REDEEMER - Heavy Frigate

The IMC DELUVIAN COMMAND SHUTTLE (DCS) - Scout Class

The IMC DCS is designed as both a shuttle module for larger IMC DELUVIAN COMMAND Vessels and as a small campaign playable submarine. The DCS provides a huge viewing area and a massive coverage firing angle with only two standard issue IMC coil guns.

Auto-Timer Airlock:
Due to the sub's small size the airlock is designed to automatically reset after 4 seconds so it can drain. This means you only use the button or switch once and then wait for the timer to cycle the doors. (4 green lights in air-lock will count down) The airlock door is designed so you can not be locked out of the sub.

In case crew members have cycled the door manually and caused it to loose sync there is an airlock reset switch by the captain's console with a green indicator light for when the airlock is in use or out of sync.

Command:
Designed as a command shuttle the DCS has plenty of unassigned WiFi components ready to tied into primary sub systems and comes with both a vertical tail and horizontal dorsal docking hatch for universal docking compatibility.

Observation:
The DCS features full size viewports on three sides and windowed airlock doors in the tail section. Combined with two versatile 180 degree search lights the entire crew can easily observe surroundings.

Storage:
The DCS features tons of cargo and ammo crate storage for a small vessel. Allowing you to empty your main hold into the shuttle in-case of emergency.

IMC REVEALER DRONE

Size: UltraMicro (Size of standard docking port)

The IMC Revealer drone is the first dual-ammo feed drone system produced by IMC. Coupled with an extended battery core the Revealer can project immense and prolonged displays of power within scouting areas or difficult to access environments. The Revealer rounds out its arsenal of tools with a single charge nuclear payload. The Revealer is designed to be almost indestructable and can remain within fairly close proximity of the charge to observe the blast results (...for posterity).

We stongly advise using caution when operating near friendlies as the discharge coil can be fatal to nearby living organisms.

Features:

Dual Ammo Feed Coil Gun
Refillable Coil Gun Ammo
Micro Coil Gun
Large Battery Supply
Battery Charge Display
Drone Dock Status Display
Searchlight w/ Discharge Coil Trigger
Nuclear Depth Charge Launcher (Non-Refillable for now)
Well Balanced Movement & Docking

The new Valkyrie drone developed by ( BravoSixGoingDark ) is leading the emergency support industry with advanced technology designed specifically for the support of Europa crews feeling the crushing pressure of the deep. Highly mobile, Combat ready and Medical support are just a few of the terms satisfied customers across Europa leave on our completely un-moderated (see section 127c subsection 51a-2 of user agreement) review page!

Features:

Camera and Navigation Console Controllable

(The drones are placed about as close as I can get to docking ports. However in campaign mode they kinda go all over the place. I would suggest un-docking and re-docking both drones at the beginning of a mission to align them with the proper docking port placement.)

Vokun: I am sure you can do that and you will very likely do a much better job than I did here. By using this design you should be able to see what you need to do and discover some things you may not like or want to change for the better. I am very pleased the build has inspired you and wish you luck with your concept!

Vokun: That is correct, it is zoomed out docking when controlled from he shuttle and you are correct that it still allows you to dock.

I have been brainstorming an idea for a modular submarine system, inspired by this duality you created, that would be a single "submarine" command unit, with shuttles that you could then purchase to extend your sub in a modular format, I would need to learn all the tricks you used here for assuming control, and have no idea if the game engine can even handle it, but before all that, I need an idea as to if I should just default to the command module being the top most part with the docking port, or if i can build it to fit wherever, knowing that you could in fact dock to a station thru another module

Question, I plan to test this later but need to sleep soon prior to my work shift, I was hoping you could better detail what you mean about the lack of docking guidance from the nav console in the command shuttle, I assume this in further detail would mean that when trying to dock via the port on the redeemer, you will not go into the close up view for lining up the docking connection, right?
Is it actually possible to dock in this fashion still??

Thank you! Much appreciated, nice design btw

Kan: I have designed pretty much what you suggested. The IMC Salvation .. you can find it on the workshop now.

Well done on being active, looking forward for more designs. Me and my friends really enjoyed the shuttle DCS because it is small and easy to navigate. If you could make a similar design with drones and battery shuttles and other useful functions available in the future I would try it out. Keep it up.

Yowbaby: I have updated this version by moving the forward drone docking port significantly. The drone was up front to act as an extra turret. However with the shuttle there it could not be used in that way anyway. I have moved the forward drone docking port to midship next to bottom EVA airlock. I have also changed the positioning of the forward camera so you can actually see the shuttle docking hatch while its docked.

Yowbaby: Sorry Yow, I never got an alert telling me you left message. This combined vessel can be a little buggy. It was mainly a test of creating a vertical hatch shuttle system that I never see used. I did not expect as many people to use it as they have. I will definitely work on these issues.

Hey bud I would like to report a problem. It seems that the front drone of the redeemer sometimes glitched inside the airlock between the two ships. I also think that its better if you put the ''front dock/ un-docking button'' in the main command terminal instead of the drone terminal because that confuses me when i first using it. Otherwise, nice ship.
