Simple Suppress

Description
Mod adds simple suppression effect for players (client-side), originally made as part of our internal mod for my community Arma4Ever[arma4ever.pl].

This version uses vignette-like texture (similar to Squad), doesn't use color corrections nor blur effects.

Script is based on suppressed[community.bistudio.com] event handler added to Arma in version 2.02, so performance impact should be minimal to none.

Mod allows configuration (via CBA Settings) of effect intensity/opacity, fadeout time, max distance from passing projectile and minimal distance from shooter (if you want to disable effect for CQB encounters).
From version 1.1.0 mod also allows to choose one of three levels of overlay texture darkness and check line of sight between player's eyes and passing projectile, to ignore bullets passing behind cover, walls, etc.

Hi! @SzwedzikPL I love your work! This addon is fantastic as it's simple yet effective, with lots of freedom to adjust the effects with the sliders.

Would you be okay with me re-uploading this mod inside a packaged mod for my community? I would give full credits to you in the description. This is simply to reduce the size and number of mods that people who join our group will need to download, and wouldn't be downloaded by anyone outside of my community.

I understand this is a bit of a grey area, and if you're not okay with it then that's perfectly fine!
Keep up the great work!

@Reticuli I could go into technical details but the simple answer is no, i can't do that in the nearest future.

For me personally this behaviour is in some way immersive, soldiers under fire could have problems with performing some actions, but I get your argument and see why in some cases that would be irritating.
I'm fully open to the idea of adding blur or some other post-process effects as an option to this mod, but I won't find time to do that now or for at least next 2-3 weeks.

Mod is open-source on github, I will gladly accept any contribution there.

Any way to have the darkened area around your periphery go BEHIND the onscreen HUD rather than obscure it? That's really the only bad part of this mod. I would not be against using blur instead of darkening, but I can live with darkening if it's not covering up the stamina meter and scroll wheel menu.

Yes. It affects their aim, movement and ability to execute orders. It is however kinda hard to pinpoint when the ai are suppressed, because it doesn't change stuff like animations or other visíble things

In other mod for suppression the author stated there is a vanilla system for AI when you shoot at them. Is this true?

It doesnt work on Hearts and Minds Coop missions, cant figure out why.
