Description
Update (8/2/2021): This has been updated for RE 1.5 with the removal of the Solar Capacitor. Please file a support ticket with SSW Customer Support (866.456.PEBCAC) if you discover any issues.

After extensive testing, SSW introduces our latest exploration CV for the Reforged scenario - the Quahog. This early- to mid-game SC 1.6, level 15 Explorer is the successor to the Abalone and Geoduck and was designed for the Reforged Eden scenario. It comes standard with:

T1 Warp drive and Shield
247k Container controller
239k Harvest controller
48k Ammo controller
6 cargo boxes (5k - 16k in size)
Two (2) each of Cannon, Minigun, and Flak turrets (anti-drone defense)
6 bottom-mounted Sentry guns (anti-ugly defense)
Lights and spacing for 18 Grow plots
Advanced and Small constructors
BioMedical and O2 stations, Armor locker, Repair Station, Fridge and Food Processor, Detector, Wireless (one at each end of the ship)
Two (2) Solar Capacitors
Glass Shower Gang™ approved
Our patented EZ-Board™ ramp

The Quahog was used at the start of the Anvil's Season 2 and was crafted and off the starter planet before the first week's wipe. Neodymium is easily salvaged from thrusters, Cobalt can be found on local moons, and the rare ores can be looted from Abandoned POIs. An Auger Mk-S is typically docked on the roof for planetary mining/exploration/raiding and solar panels are left attached for charging on the go. A typical short expedition won't even burn through full capacitors, making the Quahog very fuel-friendly.

Storage is labeled and color-coded for ease of use. Control panel switches allow easy control of devices and lighting is controlled by motion sensors. Component spacing was designed during the dark days of v1.4 explosions so the entire craft is extremely resistant to chain explosions. One particular warp ended literally face to face with an Imerat destroyer before shields could turn on and resulted in the loss of one of the large bottom thrusters and some minor surrounding block damage. The internal environment stayed intact and the Quahog was able to get home without further issue.

There is dedicated spacing for another Improved CPU Extender enabling a number of upgrades. Both Warp drive and Shield can go to T2 and you can add more defensive or offensive turrets or a Tool/Drill turret on the rear. There are also several empty spaces in the front cockpit area for additional equipment like specific medical devices.

The Quahog has not been tested in vanilla, but I would guess removing the Solar capacitors would allow it to spawn and function without issue.

@Migdalin @Buk1973 TY guys. Be aware that I haven't done anything about the shield boosters on this older build so consider adding them at some point.

Just now upgraded to this from the Wallaby. Both are awesome. Hoping to upgrade again to either the Tridacna or the Mattock. But I think Fossa is next on the shopping list. Need a combat vessel to take down the drone base on the starter planet, etc. Anyway, your stuff is making RE playable. Thanks a bunch!

@OUberLord Blueprint has been updated, it should be able to spawn properly again.

Ah, I didn't know. I was wondering why it suddenly said that!

@OUberLord Yes, I need to redo the solar on all my CVs that have panels and/or a Capacitor. The CV-S s already done. The rest will take a day or two. Vermillion totally redid how solar works on CVs.

In the current (1.5.5) version of the game and of the RE scenario, this blueprint gives a "Contains forbidden block" error. Any ideas?
