*** Updated to Game Version 1.16 ***
Inca Empire, Tahuantinsuyu
Introduction
Dive into an alternate history where a struggling Inca rump state, damaged from Spanish conquests, endures into the tumultuous interbellum. As Sapa Inca Tupac Amaru III, you must navigate the precarious situation of an empire surrounded on all sides by Peru, reclaim lost glory, and forge a new destiny for your people of lama lovers.

Unique Features
Comprehensive focus tree, offering branching paths to shape your nation's economy, military, and political landscape.

Navigate the challenges of governing an empire in turmoil with a range of national spirits, from the Agrarian Society reducing recruitable population but enhancing consumer goods factories, to the Determined Legacy which dictates the empire's isolationist stance.

With Peru bordering the Inca Empire from all sides, strategize carefully to defend your territory and expand your influence in South America.

Embrace the traditions of the Inca civilization with a monarchy at the helm, led by the Sapa Inca Tupac Amaru III.

Focus Tree Branches
● Hold the Emergency Council: Navigate domestic affairs, modify the agrarian society, and resolve conflicts within the Panaca mummy society.

● Continue the Fight from the Woods: Strengthen your military capabilities, train your army, and appoint skilled military leaders to lead your forces.

● Recovery of the Sun Empire: Consolidate your monarchy's power, promote nationalism, and entrench the Inca Empire's position in the face of external threats.

● Abolish Sapa Inca Authority: Choose your nation's political ideology, whether it be communism, fascism, democracy, or non-aligned, altering the course of your empire's governance.

● Crusade Focus: Wage war against South America, seeking to reclaim lost territories and establish dominance over Peru's core states.

National Spirits
Agrarian Society: Despite the fertile lands of the Inca Empire, the entrenched agrarian society imposes limitations. Recruitable population is reduced by 50%, while consumer goods factories face a 30% increase in production demands.

Strangled Nobility: The remnants of the once-proud Inca nobility struggle under the weight of colonial oppression, leading to a stability decrease of 10% and a 0.50% increase in daily political power cost.

Century of Invasion: Centuries of invasions and colonial rule have left scars on the empire's infrastructure. Stability is reduced by 10%, and construction speed suffers a crippling 50% decrease.

Mummy Corporations (Panakas): The conflict between traditional Panakas (royal lineages) and modern industrialization hampers progress. Stability plummets by 40%, while research speed and factory output both suffer a 25% decrease, reflecting the internal struggle between preserving tradition and embracing modernity.

Determined Legacy: Rooted in the historical resistance against colonial powers, the Inca Empire refuses to seek allies and cannot guarantee the independence of others, maintaining a steadfast, isolationist stance.

Emperor of Inti: Upholding the ancient faith of Inti, the stability of the empire is bolstered by 15%, providing a beacon of hope amidst the challenges faced by the Inca people.

Panakas/Panaca Problem
Deep within the heart of the empire lies the age-old struggle of the Panakas, the royal lineages of the Inca civilization. As the empire attempts to modernize and industrialize, clashes between traditional values and the demands of progress intensify. The Panakas, guardians of ancient traditions and custodians of sacred knowledge, resist the encroachment of modernity, fearing the erosion of their authority and cultural heritage. This internal conflict threatens to destabilize the empire from within, posing a formidable challenge to the aspirations of Tupac Amaru III and the vision of a revitalized Inca Empire. Players must navigate this delicate balance, reconciling the legacy of the past with the imperatives of the present, lest the empire succumb to the weight of its own history.

Historical note
In Inca society, Panakas, also known as panacas or panacas reales, were essentially royal kin groups or lineages. These were the noble families directly descended from the ruling Inca emperor. Panakas held significant political, social, and religious importance within Inca culture.

The Panakas were not just prestigious families but also had practical roles in governing the empire. They often held key administrative positions, managed land and resources, and played crucial roles in religious ceremonies and rituals. Each Panaka had its own lands and estates, which contributed to the economic and political power of the family.

Furthermore, Panakas served as a mechanism for succession within the Inca Empire. Upon the death of an emperor, the new ruler was typically chosen from among the descendants of previous emperors, often from different Panakas to maintain balance and prevent consolidation of power in one lineage.

The concept of Panakas was deeply ingrained in Inca society and governance, reflecting the hierarchical and structured nature of the empire. Their influence extended not only within the imperial court but also across the various provinces and regions of the empire, where local branches of Panakas held sway over local governance and affairs.

==========================
This mod can be played two ways.
By working away the problems of the Inca's, innovating and bolstering your defences.
Or by going 'Continue the fight from the Woods' as quickly as possible to get yourself a few scrawny divisions out of the blue and immidiately declaring war on Peru without giving a dime for your population, your economie and future.
This is the fastest way to beat Peru, and the one I took mostly.

Thank you. I didn't know about this. I'll make plans to revamp this tree and take notes from your comment. It'll take a while, I'm fairly trash with designing focus trees, but the game contains some trashy trees to so xD

seems to be some issues with some focuses duplicating national spirits, happened with the "century of invasion" spirit when going through the economic tree.
on the tree, any plans on expanding on it? it definitively needs some coring in it, you ain't gonna last without more manpower or industry

Thanks for pointing that out. Now I can fix that oversight.
Reason being, prior to Götterdämmerung game version, state id number of Debar didn't exist.
Free to be used for a new break-away state. With the new game version, this id became occupied by macedonia. and the game from there on would crash with this mod since nations cannot inherit 1 state at the same time. With the mod updated, this has now been fixed.

But I haven't looked at the Inca's tree. This oversight may seem like the Inca's suddenly grew very bold geopolitical ambitions.
I'll correct that in the next update.
