Description
"The bulky old freighter Mammoth—shaped like a boxy vise with huge, colorful containers stuck in its grip—was now a fighter carrier for the Sabers. As he watched, the sides of the containers slowly split apart to reveal the improvised hangars within them. Smaller ships shot out to form a rickety formation around their carrier."

The Mammoth is a relatively standard LAECC-62 cargo hauler, with few changes made to her hull after her crew decided to join the Occupied Settlements Alliance shortly after the Battle of Kohtalo. The Alliance determined that the Mammoth was to fill the role as a fighter carrier, and her three cargo containers were modified for use as makeshift hangars for small craft. She now carries three FC-32 light, hydrogen-powered all-environment fighters.

She has a reasonably large fuel capacity but should keep sustained hovering on planets to a minimum if possible. More often than not, she is landed on the surface and serves as a semi-permanent airbase. Her crew uses an automatic hovering program to keep her steady and level during flight, making launching and recovering fighters easier.

Armament:

Features:
▪ Can land on planets and launch back into space.
▪ Has three hangars for small craft with downward-pointing connectors.
▪ Has on-board production equipment to refine ore and assemble components.
▪ Two cockpit seats with complementary information screens and toolbars.
▪ Jump Drive with a range of 2 000 km.
▪ No mods or DLCs.
▪ Contains fuel and components – tested in survival.

Known issues:
▪ Because of the "subgrids act as artificial gravity blocks" bug, the large turrets and fighters will slowly pull the ship towards the ground when inside a gravity well. This is one of the reasons I have added the hover script. Even with it, the ship may slowly rise and fall as the script fights against the bug.

i like this thing its small enough to be a combat carrier as well as armored enough for it also the ship being cramped and having small rooms, hangers and corridors make sense as it is a stolen modified freighter plus i kinda enjoy the ships with cramped insides and smallish ships like this

I just found your collections! I love how you've gone all-in with a multimedia (?) approach with your books, using SE ships to bring your personal lore project to life. The blueprints, cinematics, etc are amazing on top of it. Totally will check out your books, too.

JuhfWagner, it's called "Tracer_Orange_100" by Arara.

Asdiany, if you go to "Workshop->Browse->Collections", there is a button called "Create Collection", and it's pretty straight-forward from there.

Likeyboi, I don't plan to release a base any time soon. Building ships comes far easier to me than bases to be honest.
