Space Haven Soundtrack Code

Description
Adds the code for several tracks from the amazing game Space Haven that fit RimWorld's vibe.

IMPORTANT
For legal reasons, I can't include the music files directly, but there are a couple tutorials at the bottom of the page for converting either the official soundtrack or streamed files from Youtube for use in this mod.

  • Anomaly (Night)
  • Are We Lost (Day)
  • Charged Up (Day)
  • Drifter (Day)
  • Entering the Storm (Tense)
  • Gravity (Anytime)
  • Home Away (Anytime)
  • Infinity (Day)
  • Memories (Anytime)
  • Nebula Signals (Night)

  • System Running (Night)
  • Time Will Pass (Anytime)

Music Setup Tutorials

From the Official Soundtrack (will give you the best quality):
  1. Using Audacity[www.audacityteam.org], go to Tools -> Macros.
  2. Select New (name doesn't matter).
  3. With your new Macro selected, press Insert on the right of the Manage Macros menu.
  4. Find and select Export as Ogg to add it to your Macro.
  5. At the bottom of the Manage Macros menu, select Apply Macro to: "Files..."
  6. Select your official soundtrack files (except Prologue, To the Moon, and Infested), then hit OK. (These files will be found in a file called macro-output, should be in the same place as the source files or under Documents\Audacity\macro-output).
  7. Replace the spaces in your exported files with underscores.
  8. Paste in the Sounds folder of the Space Haven Soundtrack Code mod (if named properly, it should overwrite the 15 example files inside).

From the soundtrack on Youtube (there are other sites online you can use to pull music from YT, this is just my preferred method):
  1. Download and install VLC[www.videolan.org].
  2. In VLC, go to Media -> Open Network Stream, and copy in the link from the Youtube video.
  3. Hit Play, then navigate to Tools -> Codec Information.
  4. Copy the long URL to the video mp4 from this window and open it in your browser.
  5. Save the mp4.
  6. Cut apart the track(s) in Audacity[www.audacityteam.org] - you can do this by going to Tracks -> Add New -> Stereo Track, then cutting and pasting the selection from the mp4 into the new empty track.
  7. With the mp4 now cut into its individual tracks, you can look at the dummy songs in the Sounds folder of the mod to see what you need to name them (it's the song name with the spaces replaced by underscores).
  8. Once the tracks are renamed, go to File -> Export -> Export Multiple, select the Ogg Vorbis format, then hit export.
  9. Paste the output into the Sounds folder of the Space Haven Soundtrack Code mod (if named properly, it should overwrite the 15 example files inside).

If you're using music mods, I recommend Fluffy's Music Manager.

Thank you for Audacity instructions. You might want to add that the macro exports it's output to: Documents\Audacity\macro-output. Took me a few mins to work out.
