Pegasus VTC-X3

Description
Vanilla BP - Wasteland DLC, Sparks Of The Future DLC, Decor DLC / Decor DLC 2

LORE:
When you're in of need vehicles, personnel, and supplies, look no further then the backbone of any faction deep into the void. The Pegasus Vehicle Transport Carrier fits the versatility needed in this role being capable of hauling small land vehicles and cargo modules in the main cargo hold, two crafts on the underside hard points, and have another vessel attached to the upper landing pad.

FEATURES:
- Being an transport craft, its main feature is the large cargo bay in the rear of the vessel. This bay is equipped with several connectors along it's center axis with landing gear on along either side to lock to any non-connector used vehicles or modules. It is also equipped with two docking ports on the Pegasus's underbelly along with a landing pad located on the upper hull of the ship. All said connectors are hooked up to the ships main cargo storage for easy transfer and resupply of materials and/or munitions.

- With the addition of what may be attached to the connectors, the Pegasus comes with four large cargo containers located in the central section of the living space, the Atrium. Each container is easily accessible with the wraparound catwalk system in this section.

- Weapons: As a transport ship, this vessel is primarily focused as such as it can easily have a pair of Strike Craft on standby for deployed against any adversaries. In the occasion it doesn't have it's escort, the Pegasus is equipped with three main Gatling turrets, two located on the lower bow just below the bridge and a single turret on top just before the landing pad. Each of these turrets is equipped with its own welder, to ensure longevity in a firefight. In addition to the main Gatling turrets, there are several small interior turrets guarding key areas of the vessel, both in and out of the ship.

- To be able to cross between solar systems and land on planets, the Pegasus is solely powered and moved by hydrogen. Several hydrogen engines help recharge its 12 batteries along with ensuring easy refueling due to the abundance of ice that can be found throughout the void. It is also equipped with four Jump Drives to help cross your current sector.

- Unlike its predecessors, the conveyor piping is no longer separated between the fuel / engine systems and its main cargo, they are now connected with sorters called "Fuel Dividers" that can be switched on or off to allow ice to be transfered to the engine cargo containers.

- Adaptive lighting system throughout the ship, minus the Crew Quarters and Main Airlock. Able to activate the light to go from a clear and normal white light, to a immersive red sidelight system. The Bridge, Atrium, and Cargo Hold are equipped with this system with a simple press of a button.

CONTROLS:
- Standard mouse and keyboard controls for yaw, pitch, and roll with forward, back, strafe left or right along with ascend and descend. As with any large vessel of this class, movement is slow, don't expect fighter style capabilities especially when loaded with cargo.

- To engage the rear cargo ramp, look for the dedicated button panels near the ramp, underneath the Starboard rear thruster, next to the airlock between the ramp and cargo hold, and at the cargo hold overlook in the Atrium.

- Planetary Thruster System: By engaging (4) on the Helmsman control seat, the pilot can switch between normal hydrogen thrusters which are used for the vacuum of space to having all twelve downward facing main hydrogen and atmospheric thrusters which support the craft in a planets atmosphere. For emergency landings, parachutes are available as well. (This system is engaged when spawning it in Creative Mode)

Oh yeah I like this one.

I was able to get it. :-) it was an "engineering" problem my char had to figure out. Thinking "why did they send me a complete door?! It would have been easier to just build in place. Oh well, here we go..." Again thanks. Beautiful design and very functional. The live floor design worked so awesome with the shipping containers I made with and moved with a tug in space and a fork truck on the planet. Made for some very satisfying RP.

Hmm, the ramp should be rather easy to build. All it is is two hinges, all you'd have to do is build it all and attach one of the hinges. As for the ramp extension, if I recall it's just a single piston, all the catwalks are connect to the extension section besides the top row or two.

And the reason for the fuel system dividers is so that you can haul ice in the main storage containers without running the risk of using it for your engines/thursters. Although the evidence of the engines not properly piped up is clear to see in Spectator Mode. I have updated the ship, but forgot to update the BP as I'm currently working on a MBT project that requires my full, but limited, attention.

The ramp is very difficult to build and reattach. I ended up putting 5 pistons down the center of the hold and a landing gear at a right angle to the piston, connecting the built door, retracting the pistons, SET THE RAMP TO DEPLOY so the hinge is expecting the ramp to be down, then reattaching the door. Worked the second attempt! LOL Anyway, thanks for a cool ship!

I built this in survival and did not see the issue you described. all 8 hydrogen engines at connected to the hydrogen tanks perfectly fine. If you make the connection mentioned you open a loop into the sealed hydrogen system. The engines will not fill unless on but no issue. I did put a set of sorters in parallel to the dividers but just opposite. Named them Raw Fuel Return and put a white list of ice and ammo. Gave me the ability to open ports on the sides of the tanks and hang turrets off them. (also had to add ammo to the divider sorters white list). I leave the returns off as well but can open if I need to pull ammo out or ice out.

Ah... Ok. I got it. So when I was redesigning the cargo hold, I seem to have removed the piping that ran into the hydrogen engines. A simple fix of three corner conveyors would get them correctly piped up again, two for the forward set, conveyor junctions over batteries 01 and 02 to two corner conveyors into the junction for the engines, and a single corner conveyor leading from the junction angled above the rear engine set conveyor junction.

I do apologize for this oversight, I don't know how to fix this issue without deleting this BP and re-publishing the updated version. Regardless of the engines, the refueling for the thrusters is running correctly, simply have to turn the "Fuel Dividers", which are Conveyor Sorters. Reason for the division is so that your extra ice for either cargo or for the Cryo Pods/Survival Kit, won't be used for the thrusters accidentally.

I printed it in survival so I could get it as legit as I could, then I deleted it and spawned it in via the BP menu so what I'm working with is exactly what was uploaded. I'd like to add that this ship looks sooo nice and you did great work on it. Just having issues with the refueling process is all.

aight, should also mention your blueprint was done through a projector for survival, so it could be that the parts just didnt build, but if your still unsure drop me a line and i can run ya through

Hmm, there should be two H2/O2 Generators on either side, next to each sides fuel cargo container, that should be piped straight to the tanks then to the hydrogen engines. I'll go through it this evening to double check it again.

the Fuel issue is the only thing i have found wrong with it, as it currently stands, even if you throw ice into the system manually, it will go to the engines, but it wont start filling the tanks
