Introduction
Welcome! This guide is meant to provide as much insight as possible into the vehicles of Wreckfest, so that drivers both new and experienced can walk away knowing something they didn't before.

To do this, we have recorded critiques from a stable of skilled drivers, collected data from rigorous in-game tests, and collated information from different sources, including the Wreckfest wiki, Steam guides, and the game itself in order to present a complete perspective of this game's cast of vehicles.

This guide is developed mostly from experience with A class clean racing. Fundamental car performance traits usually carry over to other classes, but if trying to use this advice in other race formats (such as dirty racing or modded servers) your results may vary. Contributors may be more or less biased in their notes, so take everything with a grain of salt!

We will sometimes reference tuning notation in our writeups, recommending one setup or another. This takes the form of a number (1-5) referencing the location of the tuning blip, where left is '1' and right is '5'. This can also take the form of a set of 4 numbers listing the tune configuration from top to bottom- suspension, transmission, differential, and brakes, in that order. If you'd like additional information on car tuning, and general (non-car-specific) tuning advice, consult Pielikely's Tuning Guide.

Certain vehicles will be excluded from the guide due to a lack of important criteria for race-worthiness. All other playable vehicles in the game will receive an entry here.

Excluded Vehicles:
  • Every vehicle in the Special class (Special is disabled by default)
  • Every vehicle in the Small class (Exclusively contains slow, fragile joke vehicles)
  • The Double Decker and Supervan from the campaign (Both unstable and slow)
  • The Killerpig and Wardigger from the Modified Monsters DLC (Both tacky and overweight)

This guide is a perpetual work-in-progress and entries will be added and revised by their contributors essentially at random. New DLC and tournament vehicles will be added as soon as possible, but be aware that statistical data and especially driver's notes will take a while to fully implement after release.
Methodology
The listed Weight of each vehicle is the base weight, with no armor. On average, a 'standard' armor setup for a vehicle (stock bumpers and the full roll cage, which is what the majority of vehicles have installed by default) adds between 90 and 100 kilograms, with exceptions being vehicles with heavy stock bumpers (i.e. the Starbeast, with a 90 kg front bumper) and vehicles with light or no stock bumpers (i.e. the Hearse, whose stock bumpers weigh nothing).

Top Speed was measured with the car set to base weight and full upgrades, and tuned to have the longest possible gearbox. We used the Gardemoen and Talledega Raceway tracks from The Very TrackPack workshop addon to measure the absolute top speed (as vanilla tracks are not ideal for going in a straight line for a long time). In addition, our data tracks whether the vehicle's top speed is limited by its transmission or its engine power.

For the Dragstrip testing, every car was modified to base weight and full upgrades, using the Automatic transmission option, with traction control turned off. Every car was launched in first gear at full throttle with no manual shifts, and were given 3 runs, with the best time of the three selected. Dragstrips used were the Gardemoen Drag ('400m') and Gardemoen Drag Long ('1000m') tracks available in The Very TrackPack. While these strips may not be fully built to scale, this still provides a useful metric for comparison within the game itself.

We decided against including a laptime metric for two main reasons: one, the tracklist in this game is diverse enough that no single track can be truly representative of the rest, and two, collecting lap time data is extremely-time intensive and difficult (as you have to drive each car at near-optimal speed for the lap times to be meaningful).

Screenshots of vehicles are almost always Optimore's. Sorry in advance if you get tired of looking at these overwhelmingly blue, white, and green paintjobs.

Vanilla Vehicles 1

Rocket
Basis: 1967 Ford Mustang
Class: American Midsize
Obtained: Given for free at the start of the game
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive, 428ci (7013cc) V8, 4-Speed Transmission
Power: 378HP @5200RPM, 508ft-lb torque @2800RPM
Weight: 2795 lbs / 1268 kg
Top Speed: 149 MPH / 239 KPH (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 12.536s (400M) 24.057s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: The Rocket looks pretty stylish, but it's mediocre in most respects, including weight, handling, and power. Probably outclassed by most top-tier vehicles in the game, but lacks any particularly glaring weakness (other than maybe a short transmission). At least the brakes are pretty good. Honestly, I was expecting more from a Mustang. In A-class it is massively out-classed, but in C it's one of the most well-balanced and viable common cars. Plus, the fact that you're not going to be tempted to use it in A means you can just leave it in its C configuration at all times.

Spitfire's Notes: The Rocket, a solid, if under powered car with medium weight, solid brakes, and a good ride height that prevents bottoming out. Unfortunately, its high torque means that it's prone to snap oversteer on the throttle, leading to sluggish acceleration out of corners. This problem is worsened by its lack of raw power, making it unable to keep up on the straights. The name "Rocket" may be somewhat misleading here.

KillerBee
Basis: Mixed Influence from early-1960s Fiat 850, Fiat 600, and Mini Cooper
Class: European Compact
Obtained: Buy for 5,430 Credits or use B-Class Loaner variant in MP
Drivetrain: Rear-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive, 122ci (2000cc) Inline 4, 4-Speed Transmission
Power: 240HP @6000RPM, 262ft-lb torque @4000RPM
Weight: 1781lbs / 807kg
Top Speed: 152 MPH / 244 KPH
Dragstrip: 12.048 (400M) 24.129 (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: The KillerBee's features include a weak engine, bad transmission, squirrely handling, low body strength, and ridiculous jacked-up “gasser” front suspension. It’s the cheapest vehicle in the game, and it shows- worthless in pretty much every race format and performance class, though it's required to unlock the improved Killerbee S.

Spitfire's Notes: The Killerbee, faster than you might expect, especially off the line, but ultimately useless due to its faster, more powerful brother, the Killerbee S. The Bee's ridiculous ride height, paired with its rear engine gives this car an excessive rear weight bias, making it difficult to control due to constant oversteer and a lack of steering feel. This Bee really just isn't so killer after all.

Gremlin
Basis: 1970 Ford Taunus TC
Class: European Midsize
Obtained: Buy for 6190 Credits or use C-Class Loaner variant in MP
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive, 152ci (2500cc) V6, 4-Speed Transmission
Power: 327HP @5700RPM, 332ft-lb torque @4700RPM
Weight: 2429 lbs. / 1102 kg
Top Speed: 141 MPH / 226 KPH (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 12.350s (400M) 24.137s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: We discovered that this thing was good more or less by accident, as the result of a dare... In any case, an armorless A-class Gremlin is a quickly-accelerating lightweight with the primary weakness being its top speed- quite similar to the Tristar, though it has more torque and durability in exchange for worse grip.

Spitfires Notes: The Gremlin, despite its name, it's not actually so problematic. Somewhat nimble and easy to drive, the Gremlin won’t fight you in the corners and can be pushed hard with ease. You'll have to be pushing hard to keep up though, as its performance is just average in nearly every aspect. It's long 4th gear, relative to the previous 3 gears, means that once you shift into it, you'll lose some pulling power. Carrying as much speed through the corners as you can is the name of the game here.

Tristar
Basis: 1971 Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R
Class: Japanese Midsize
Obtained: Buy for 7,440 Credits or Win "Mean Machine" Career Event
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive, 122ci (2000cc) Inline 6, 5-Speed Transmission
Power: 305HP @7000RPM, 252ft-lb @5600RPM
Weight: 2017 lbs. / 915 kg
Top Speed: 135 MPH / 217 KPH (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 12.614s (400M) 24.700s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: One of the best of the early starter cars. It has nimble handling and great acceleration and can be used very well at the higher levels of play, though its low weight and average top speed limit it to clean racing and short/medium-length tracks.

Spitfires Notes: The Tristar is an interesting car, it has an excellent power to weight ratio, an FR drivetrain, it's even got a 5-speed transmission, a luxury for C class cars. Yet, somehow, it leaves a lot to be desired from its performance rating of 333. 5th gear is much longer than the rest of its gears, leading to a lack of pulling power due to its high RPM peak power. It's grip also seems lackluster, made just a tad worse by the somewhat bouncy suspension. Overall, not bad, just a solid "meh" from me.

Noodle's Notes: The gears are a little too short by default. On nearly every track, you'll want to bump it up to 4 for gears, or 5 for tracks with long straights like Motor City. This also helps negate the bog-down you get when shifting from 4th to 5th gear, as the Tristar performs best when revving high. Don't be afraid to bounce it off the limiter when sliding through tight corners for the best exit!

Vanilla Vehicles 2

Rammer
Basis: 1980 Oldsmobile Cutlass 4-Door
Class: American Full-Size
Obtained: Buy for 8190 Credits or use B-Class Loaner variant in MP
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive, 350ci (5735cc) V8, 4-Speed Transmission
Power: 429HP @5500RPM, 484ft-lb torque @3800RPM
Weight: 3104 lbs. / 1408 kg
Top Speed: 144 MPH / 231 KPH (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 12.210s (400M) 23.901s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: I can remember that clean racing servers in ye olden pre-DLC days were often full of stripped-down Rammers. The vehicle's high engine power and middling base weight served to make it a serious contender at the time, though in the current meta this vehicle's relatively short transmission has generally seen it fall by the wayside for fancier cars.

Spitfire's Notes: Ahh the Rammer. With an appearance that just screams "American Demo Derby" and the sound to go right along with it, this car fits into this game just perfectly. With good power and torque coming from its 350 Chevy V8, a modest level of weight, solid strength, and more grip than you might expect from a full-size American sedan, this brute performs solidly well in all disciplines.

MudDigger
Basis: 1979 Chevrolet Blazer
Class: American Wagon
Obtained: Buy for 8,280 Credits
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive 400cu-in (6554cc) V8, 4-Speed Transmission
Power: 578HP @4900RPM, 794ft-lb torque @3000RPM
Weight: 4356 lbs. / 1976 kg
Top Speed: 137 MPH / 220KPH (Standard Wheels) - 150MPH / 241KPH (Grunt Wheels)
Dragstrip: 12.193s (400M) 24.226s (1000M) (Standard) - 12.090s (400M) 23.693s (1000M) (Grunt)

Optimore's Notes: The heaviest non-special vehicle in the vanilla game, this truck has a reputation as a wrecker and not much else. The high center of gravity and titanic weight of the vehicle results in poor cornering and top speed, though you could honestly do worse as it still has big V8 torque.

Spitfire's Notes: The Muddigger is super heavy, and handles like garbage, due largely to its high center of gravity and terrible suspension. It almost makes up for it with quite good straight-line acceleration, however. The "Grunt" wheels, acquired by winning the "Redneck Rampage" event in single-player, give you longer gear ratios, significantly increasing Top Speed by a whopping 13MPH and slightly increasing acceleration. These wheels are a must-have for any Muddigger driver.

Dominator
Basis: 1967 Rover P5 3.5L
Class: European Full-Size
Obtained: Buy for 13,600 Credits
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive 213cu-in (3500cc) V8, 4-Speed Transmission
Power: 462hp @5200RPM, 502ft-lb torque @4000RPM
Weight: 3331 lbs. / 1511 kg
Top Speed: 164MPH / 263KPH (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 12.036s (400M) 23.182s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: This car has a V8 but doesn't have any of the usual downfalls of V8 cars- sluggish handling and/or traction that isn't enough to handle the power. The catch is that it struggles to reach its (actually decent) top speed, due to lack of torque at high RPM. Also, the suspension is super high even on the lowest setting, so just set suspension to 5 and leave it. Do that, and drive it right, and it's actually a surprisingly competitive car.

Hotshot
Basis: 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air
Class: American Full-Size
Obtained: Buy for 15,950 Credits
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive 440cu-in (7210cc) V8, 5-Speed Transmission
Power: 458HP @6200RPM, 468ft-lb torque @4400RPM
Weight: 3205 lbs. / 1454 kg
Top Speed: 161 MPH / 259KPH (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 12.390s (400M) 23.939s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: If I was to describe any single car in this game as just "average", with no other qualifiers, this car would be it. At least in its stock form- it's quite a bit more threatening using the Dirtshot tournament bundle parts, which gives it a new higher-class racing engine.
Vanilla Vehicles 3

Warwagon
Basis: 1982 Ford LTD County Squire
Class: American Wagon
Obtained: Buy for 17030 Credits
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive, 351ci (5751cc) V8, 4-Speed Transmission
Power: 517HP @5000RPM, 552 ft-lb torque @3000RPM
Weight: 3104 lbs. / 1408 kg
Top Speed: 157 MPH (252 KPH) (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 12.039s (400M) , 23.516s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: When someone says "1980s station wagon", the usual words that come to mind are usually not "fast", "powerful", or "stylish", but this car is (arguably) all three. Y'know, relatively speaking. It's a heavy powerslide machine with a top speed that isn't as bad as you might expect. It's also huge, yet the weight doesn't actually hurt it very much as far as I can see- and the sheer size of the thing makes it a very difficult vehicle to pass.

Gatecrasher
Basis: 1974 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
Class: American Full-Size
Obtained: Buy for 21240 Credits
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive 426ci (6980cc) V8, 4-Speed Transmission
Power: 558HP @6000RPM, 509 ft-lb torque @4500RPM
Weight: 3831 lbs. / 1738 kg
Top Speed: 170MPH (273KPH) (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 12.135s (400M) 23.093s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: Yet another 4-speed heavyweight- in fact, it's the third heaviest car in the vanilla game. It's big and powerful but has a sort of characteristic 70's wallowiness to everything. The handling, the suspension, the transmission- sometimes it feels like you have to fight through molasses to get this car to go fast. But you can at least get it to do that, which is better than you can say for some vehicles. My tuning recommendation (relayed by a friend, SLABJACK) is 5352.

Bulldog
Basis: 1962 Volvo PV544
Class: European Midsize
Obtained: Buy for 26340 Credits
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive Inline 4 or V8, 6-Speed Transmission
Weight: 1929 lbs. / 875 kg
Top Speed: Various, see here for analysis.
Dragstrip: We don't wanna do 4 sets of tests for 1 car

Optimore's Notes: This car used to be just an unstable-but-fast lightweight, but the Reckless update gave it 2 new unique modifications: an extremely powerful drag V8 and a set of drag slicks (the former comes free, the latter is unlocked through the tournament skin "Drag 55"). The engine massively increases the torque, acceleration, and power rating of the car at the cost of top speed and stability, while the (rear) tire mod increases top speed but worsens handling significantly. You can combine the stock and drag parts at will, giving you 4 possible permutations of the Bulldog with very different stats and characteristics- though all of them are fragile and difficult to control to a greater or lesser extent.

Speedbird
Basis: Mix of 1968 Pontiac Firebird and 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado
Class: American Full-Size
Obtained: Buy for 26340 Credits
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive, 350ci (5735cc) V8, 5-Speed Transmission
Power: 456HP @4800RPM, 577ft-lb torque @3200RPM
Weight: 2808 lbs. / 1274 kg
Top Speed: 175MPH (281KPH)
Dragstrip: 11.954s (400M) 22.909s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: The first car from the Next Car Game demo, aka the American 1. So good they put it on the game's cover. It's not really the absolute best, but it's close enough that you can put some serious hurt on the competition once you really know your fundamentals. The acceleration is quite good due to the lower-than-average weight for a Full-Size. The handling is decent but it becomes harder to control at high speeds, so watch your brakes carefully.
Vanilla Vehicles 4

Firefly
Basis: 1969 Saab 96
Class: European Compact
Obtained: Buy for 6550 Credits After Reaching Level 3
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Front Wheel Drive, 54.9ci (900cc) 2-Stroke Inline 3 (menu)/V4 (model), 4-Speed Transmission
Power: 257HP @ 6000RPM, 279ft-lb torque @4200RPM
Weight: 1847 lbs. / 838 kg
Top Speed: 128 MPH (205 KPH) (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 13.211 (400M), 25.821 (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: A front-wheel-drive Swedish vehicle resembling a loaf of French bread powered by a somewhat pathetic 2-stroke engine (though the game seems indecisive whether it's truly the I3 or the V4 model). It's one of those cars you get early-game that really can't adapt to the stresses of A-class racing, since in that performance bracket the car suffers from horrendous FWD understeer if you attempt to put any power down. However, in its native C-class it's a very viable sidegrade to the Nexus RX as a lightweight FWD.

El Matador
Basis: 1976 Chevrolet El Camino
Class: American Wagon
Obtained: Buy for 11140 Credits After Reaching Level 6
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive, 454ci (7439cc) V8, 4-Speed Transmission
Power: 477HP @5000RPM, 590ft-lb torque @3400RPM
Weight: 3624 lbs. / 1644 kg
Top Speed: 135MPH (217KPH) (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 12.365s (400M) 24.455 (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: Kind of lackluster. Its power and top speed leave some to be desired; it tries to make it up in the handling and only somewhat succeeds. The base weight is actually much higher than average for a muscle car; it was not really obvious this was the case as its handling really doesn't show it. In theory this would make it good at demolition derby or dirty racing, but once again I was expecting more from an El Camino.

Boomer
Basis: 1970 Ford Escort Mk1
Class: European Midsize
Obtained: Buy for 15150 Credits After Reaching Level 10 or use B-Class Loaner variant in MP
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive, 122ci (2000cc) Inline 4, 5-Speed Transmission
Power: 269HP @7000 RPM, 214ft-lb torque @5600RPM
Weight: 1812 lbs. / 822 kg
Top Speed: 156 MPH (251KPH)
Dragstrip: 12.278 (400M) 24.095 (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: Though it looks like it could fall apart at any moment this car is a very reliable lightweight built for folkracing, which makes it well-suited to rough tracks with a lot of technical corners. It still otherwise suffers from similar issues as other lightweights: it's easy to shunt around and its top speed is not the greatest.

Hammerhead
Basis: 1982 Volvo 245 DL
Class: European Wagon
Obtained: Buy for 15030 Credits After Reaching Level 15 or use A-Class Loaner variant in MP
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive, 122ci (2000cc) Inline 4, 6-Speed Transmission
Power: 390HP @6500 RPM, 348ft-lb torque @4500 RPM
Weight: 2744 lbs. / 1245 kg
Top Speed: 153 MPH (246 KPH) (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 12.339s (400M) 23.857s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: It's a boxy inline-6 eurowagon based on an old Volvo, pretty much the last thing you’d expect to be fast. But looks in this game can be deceiving... True to its heritage, it's one of the more durable middleweights, but also delivers decent power-to-weight, nimble handling, smaller than average width, and a 6-speed transmission. It does pretty well on technical tracks that feature larger straights, where it can take advantage of its transmission to get a higher top speed than the lightweights which traditionally dominate those types of tracks.

Vanilla Vehicles 5

Nexus RX
Basis: 1990 Honda CR-X Si (USDM)
Class: Japanese Compact
Obtained: Buy for 12250 Credits After Reaching Level 17
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Front Wheel Drive, 122cu-in (2000cc) Inline 4, 5-Speed Transmission
Power: 266hp @7900RPM 217ft-lb torque @5800RPM
Weight: 1867 lbs. / 847 kg
Top Speed: 160 MPH (257 KPH)
Dragstrip: 12.705s (400M) 24.051s (1000M)

Spitfire's Notes: Ahh the Nexus, my absolute bread and butter. Being FWD, the Nexus is extremely stable, but prone to extreme understeer and sluggish acceleration due to excessive wheelspin. In order to drive the Nexus (and most of the other FF cars) quickly, employ the use of left-foot braking to help keep the rear end rotated in certain corners. Feathering the throttle appropriately mid corner allows you to use torque of the car to steer it, pulling the front end closer to the apex of the corner. Feathering the throttle also helps keep the front wheels from spinning too quickly, causing understeer, especially on corner exit. When going full throttle, there is a very brief moment of time where this torque steer can be felt and used before the wheels spin up. Depending on the corner, you can use this to go maximum brakes, then immediately into full throttle for maximum cornering speed. In all, while not exactly the fastest car out there, in the right set of steady and precise hands, the Nexus can go much faster than most people will give it credit for.

Noodle's Notes: Smoothness is key with the Nexus. Being FWD, it handles much differently from the RWD cars that make up the majority of the vehicle roster, and thus requires you to adjust your driving style accordingly. Try to avoid kicking out the rear too much (middle brake bias helps with this) and blend in the throttle out of corners for the smoothest, stablest, and fastest exit. While the Nexus can't carry the same corner speed as some of the better RWD cars, it’s surprisingly fast on the straights. When driven carefully it can be a fastest lap contender!

Starbeast
Basis: 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass
Class: American Full-Size
Obtained: Buy for 16500 Credits After Reaching Level 19 or use A-Class Loaner variant in MP
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive, 427ci (6997cc) V8, 5-Speed Transmission
Power: 481HP @4800RPM, 592ft-lb torque @3400RPM
Weight: 3227 lbs. / 1464 kg
Top Speed: 159 MPH (255 KPH) (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 12.284s (400M), 23.631s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: This is probably one of my favorite muscle cars. It's a pretty standard example of the archetype- high power, good weight, good speed, not the nimblest but more stable than average. It's very good for those like myself that want torque and power but also value consistency over sheer speed on their laptimes.

DJ x 131's notes: As formentioned in Optimore's notes above, the Starbeast is not as nimble as lightweight cars but with the correct tune on short course's in can succeed against almost all other cars in the game, and on long circuits like Boulder Bank and Motorcity it has a decent top speed and easy braking. It is a good starter car considering the power to weight is manageable and it does not oversteer or understeer. I have found this car favors the "Scandinavian Flick" technique quite well, however keep in mind that because of the weight of the Starbeast it is harder to negotiate around tighter bends, but if you slide in and give it gas it will do just fine. When it comes to uneven surfaces on standard suspension the Starbeast easily soaks up bumps and rough surfaces (without body damage). I would suggest stripping all armor (bumpers/cage/etc.) to compensate for the weight of the vehicle to give you an extra bit of power to weight. The car should be Spec'd at 328 PR. My tune of choice for basically all tracks is 3451 or 3452.

Roadslayer
Basis: 1973 Pontiac Firebird
Class: American Full-Size
Obtained: Buy for 17600 Credits After Reaching Level 23
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive, 400ci (6554cc) V8, 4-Speed Transmission
Power: 452HP @4200RPM, 645ft-lb @2900RPM
Weight: 3267 lbs. / 1482 kg
Top Speed: 161 MPH (259 KPH)
Dragstrip: 11.846s (400M), 22.985s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: The first (typical) example of what I'm going to call the 'Super 4' cars, which are muscle cars with 4-speed transmissions, excessive power, and good top speed due to the individual gears being longer than normal. The Roadslayer's top speed specifically is just average-to-good, but it has fast acceleration and good handling helped by its lower than average suspension. It's arguably better than the GT version due to not being as heavy, but is still just short of the absolute top tier.

Panther RS
Basis: 1975 Jaguar XJ-S
Class: European Full-Size
Obtained: Buy for 21810 Credits After Reaching Level 25
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive, 170ci (2800cc)/183ci (3000cc) V6s or 323ci (5300cc) V12, 6-Speed Transmission
Power: 532HP @6800RPM, 505ft-lb torque @4000RPM
Weight: 3703 lbs. / 1680 kg
Top Speed: 173 MPH (278KPH)
Dragstrip: 12.329s (400M) 23.242s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: Kind of heavy, mediocre brakes, arguably pretty ugly with its missing front bumper. It's got a pretty good amount of speed but carrying it through the corners can be a chore unless you put a lot of work in. The A Class engine is a V12, a reference to the famous V12 XJ-S models, though unfortunately it doesn't change the actual in-game model or sound.
Vanilla Vehicles 6

Roadcutter
Basis: 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS
Class: American Full-Size
Obtained: Buy for 21750 Credits after reaching Level 27
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive, 455ci (7456cc) V8, 4-Speed Transmission
Power: 523HP @5800RPM, 595ft-lb torque @3800RPM
Weight: 3390 lbs. / 1538 kg
Top Speed: 169 MPH (271 KPH) (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 11.759s (400M) 22.669s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: A more definitive 'Super 4', with a very high top speed despite its nominal transmission size. Also comes with good acceleration, high ground clearance, and surprisingly high grip, probably as a result of the unusually thick tires. Competent in normal hands but becomes a weapon in the hands of a skilled driver.

Xenon's Notes: Even though it is a fast car, there is the possibility of it wrecking out if the car is traveling too fast on the jump, but this seems to be the only real negative thing about the car and is still a great car to drive.

DJ x 131's Notes: The Roadcutter has a lot of potential in the right hands and can definitely be a front-runner, It can easily run with the fastest cars in the game if set on the right transmission setting. For power to weight it is actually quite overpowered, To be efficient in this car though you will need to powerslide a lot around corners, (it likes to be sideways!) E-brake is your friend in this car. I would have to say the cars biggest flaws is, one, its ability to soak up bumps and rough surfaces (it is easily disrupted by these and can sometimes cause your car to veer off somewhere you don't want it to be- sometimes throttle management helps) and two, its length. Small tracks are hard to navigate at times. I'd recommend a tune of 4451.

Sunrise Super
Basis: 1975 Nissan Fairlady S30z
Class: Asian Midsize
Obtained: Buy for 22270 Credits After Reaching Level 29
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive, 170ci (2800cc) Inline 6, 6-Speed Transmission
Power: 340HP @6400RPM, 299ft-lb torque @4200RPM
Weight: 2164 lbs. / 982 kg
Top Speed: 173 MPH (278 KPH)
Dragstrip: 12.038s (400M) 23.284s (1000M)

Noodle's Notes: If you're looking to select a car then never look at your garage again, choose the Sunrise Super! It's perhaps the best all-rounder in the game, doing a great (but not the best) job at accelerating, cornering, and braking. It comes with a forgiving amount of grip that enables you to extract the most out of it while simultaneously staying controlled and consistent. When driven to its max, the Sunrise can hang with the Super Venom and Raiden, but don't expect it to set any leaderboard records. One quirk of the Sunrise emerges when braking over a crest with full rear-bias. The back end can suddenly snap away from the decreased load on the rear tires, slowing you down and possibly causing a spin. Not to worry though, simply setting the brakes to 2 instead of 1 will remedy this issue without losing any performance! Other than that, you're safe to tune the suspension to either 5 or 4 for most tracks, lock the differential, and keep the gears at 3.

Speedemon
Basis: 1986 Toyota Supra
Class: Asian Midsize
Obtained: Buy for 26550 Credits After Reaching Level 32
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive, 183ci (3000cc) Inline 6, 6-Speed Transmission
Power: 515HP @6000RPM, 478ft-lb torque @48000RPM
Weight: 3359 lbs. / 1524 kg
Top Speed: 185 MPH (297 KPH) (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 11.980s (400M) 22.774s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: The engine on this thing is just an Inline 6, but it puts down crazy levels of power and gives the Speedemon a crazy top speed (it can make 125+ miles per hour with the transmission tuning on the second blip). The car's weight is similar to that of lighter muscle cars, but despite this its Japanese heritage shows in its snappy handling. In fact, it's maybe a little too snappy- the Speedemon's downfall comes from how difficult it is to drive optimally, as its capabilities otherwise rival that of the best cars in the game. I recommend 4233 tuning.

Limo
Basis: 1980 Cadillac Fleetwood Limousine
Class: American Full-Size
Obtained: Win "Limousine Demolition" Career Event
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive, 400ci (6554cc) V8, 4-Speed Transmission
Power: 586HP @4900RPM, 806ft-lb torque @3000RPM
Weight: 4671 lbs. / 2116 kg
Top Speed: 134 MPH (215 KPH)
Dragstrip: 12.672s (400M), 24.854s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: The only 'joke' vehicle to make this list, but with good reason. The overall driving experience is quite Warwagon-like, except with more understeer and slightly worse top speed (also... it's very long). Like the Warwagon, it's surprisingly good at powersliding and in the Limo's case this ability actually does a fair amount to compensate for the obvious handling issues. Just don't take it to some tiny technical track like Rosenheim or Northfolk. You'll have a bad time.
Vanilla Vehicles 7

Rammer RS
Basis: Mix of 1980 Chevrolet Caprice and 1980 Oldsmobile Cutlass
Class: American Full-Size
Obtained: Win "Ramming It Down" Career Event
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive, 350ci (5735cc) V8, 5-Speed Transmission
Power: 528HP @6000RPM, 590ft-lb torque @4000RPM
Weight: 3732 lbs. / 1693 kg
Top Speed: 158 MPH (254 KPH) (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 12.473s (400M) 23.860s (1000M)

Optimore: Despite looking quite a bit better than the stock Rammer, it's actually a sidegrade at best. The weight is much higher, so its acceleration is worse even though the better transmission gives it a higher top speed. The cornering is overall worse, though it has better grip and the weight reduces snap oversteer so it's at least a bit more consistent. It's a mixed bag, and there's just better options out there.

Roadslayer GT
Basis: 1973 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am (with front fascia from 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS)
Class: American Full-Size
Obtained: Win "Slaying the Road" Career Event (Requires standard Roadslayer)
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive, 455ci (7456cc) V8, 6-Speed Transmission
Power: 569HP @5900RPM, 591ft-lb torque @4500RPM
Weight: 3952 lbs. / 1793 kg
Top Speed: 177 MPH (284 KPH)
Dragstrip: 12.315s (400M) 23.267s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: A similar case to the Rammer RS, the Roadslayer gains a ton of weight in its transition to the GT version, in this case becoming the 2nd heaviest vanilla car. The transmission is a pretty nice 6 speed, but the original is a Super 4 anyway so the GT doesn't really gain much from having it. Its handling is actually still pretty good, just occasionally prone to understeer (but also harder to spin out). So while it's more of a sidegrade than a straight upgrade, it's still a sidegrade to the Roadslayer, so it's still very viable.

Boomer RS
Basis: 1974 Ford Escort Mk2
Class: European Midsize
Obtained: Win "The Underdog" Career Event
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive, 122ci (2000cc) Inline 4, 6-Speed Transmission
Power: 284HP @8000RPM, 208ft-lb torque @6750RPM
Weight: 1834 lbs. / 832 kg
Top Speed: 165 MPH (265 KPH)
Dragstrip: 12.236s (400M) 23.734 (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: Stays pretty true to the original Boomer, but moves its focus from rough-road folkraces to smoother tracks. It's got lower ground clearance and stiffer suspension, but the engine and body are pretty much the same. The transmission is now a 6-speed which has better the top speed at the cost of a little acceleration, making it just slightly more suited to asphalt tracks which tend to be longer. There's nothing saying you can only use it on asphalt, though. Just remember you're made of tinfoil.

Killerbee S
Basis: 1964 Fiat Abarth OT 1600 Berlina
Class: European Compact
Obtained: Win "Attack of the KillerBee" Career Event (Requires standard KillerBee)
Drivetrain: Rear-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive, 122ci (2000cc) Inline 4, 5-Speed Transmission
Power: 256HP @7000RPM, 209ft-lb torque @5200RPM
Weight: 1825 lbs. / 828 kg
Top Speed: 160 MPH (257KPH) (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 11.972s (400M) 23.588s (1000M)

Noodle's Notes: A Raiden Runner-Up, the Killerbee S shines on short-tracks. Although it's gutless compared to other A-class machines, it can turn-in to corners like no other. Its tiny wheelbase combined with RWD allows the Killerbee S to turn on a dime and navigate hairpins like they aren't even there. It may take a bit of getting-used to the first time you drive it, so be prepared to hit a lot of inside walls!

Optimore's Notes: This is a more extreme lightweight car- very fast, but very light, and the handling can be difficult to properly control due to the rear-engine layout and short wheelbase. Has a tendency to fishtail if not kept in check, but the acceleration and nippy handling permits it the ability to get great laptimes. Just be aware it's a very high risk/reward vehicle due to its very light weight and low stability.

Venom
Basis: 1971 Corvette Stingray
Class: American Midsize
Obtained: Win "Twisted Chaos" Career Event
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive, 454ci (7439cc) V8, 4-Speed Transmission
Power: 537HP @5400RPM, 618ft-lb torque @3600RPM
Weight: 3439 lbs. / 1560 kg
Top Speed: 174 MPH (280 KPH)
Dragstrip: 11.508s (400M) 21.979s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: This is a very nice car. It's quite like its fellow 'Super 4' cars, the Roadcutter and Roadslayer, being faster-accelerating than either at the cost of less durability and handling that's a bit more erratic, with ground clearance that makes rough tracks risky. Of course there's also the upside that you get Corvette styling and can be competitive in races without being accused of being a tryhard for driving the Super Venom.
DLC Vehicles 1

Bandit
Basis: 1971 Dodge Challenger R/T
Class: American Full-Size
Obtained: Back Next Car Game on Kickstarter or Pre-Order The Deluxe Edition of Wreckfest
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive 426ci (6980cc) V8, 5-Speed Transmission
Power: 536 hp @5200RPM, 589 ft-lb torque @3400RPM
Weight: 3406 lbs. / 1545 kg
Top Speed: ~185 MPH / 298KPH*
Dragstrip: ~11.7s (400M) ~22.4s (1000M)*
* Approximated from Ripper V8 version, see entry below

Optimore's Notes: A currently unobtainable car that could only be unlocked via being a Kickstarter backer or by preordering the Deluxe Edition of the game. As such, we've had to approximate its test times from the Ripper V8 version, which we now have on good authority to be statistically identical. Special thanks to reddit user RoRoCraziness for providing the new thumbnail (and being our "good authority").

Bandit Ripper V8
Basis: 1971 Dodge Challenger R/T
Class: American Full-Size
Obtained: From Wreckfest Season Pass #1
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive 426ci (6980cc) V8, 5-Speed Transmission
Power: 536 hp @5200RPM, 589 ft-lb torque @3400RPM
Weight: 3406 lbs. / 1545 kg
Top Speed: 185 MPH / 298KPH
Dragstrip: 11.709s (400M) 22.430s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: A pretty standard muscle car despite having a bunch of unremovable mad-max style modifications like chains, spikes, and sawtooth crests. Power is above average, handling is slightly below average with a weirdly lifted back end and slightly stiff steering. It appears to be meant to soften the blow for the Bandit becoming unobtainable, as well as sweeten the deal for the first Season Pass. And more or less that's what it does.

Buggy
Basis: 1968 Volkswagon Beetle Type 1
Class: European Compact
Obtained: From Retro Rammers DLC
Drivetrain: Rear-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive 122ci (2000cc) 4cyl Boxer, 4-Speed Transmission
Power: 256 hp @ 6000rpm, 268 ft-lb torque @4000rpm
Weight: 1915 lbs. / 869 kg
Top Speed: 142 MPH / 228KPH (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 12.129s (400M) 24.039s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: Kind of like the Rocket, except as a lightweight. It's just kind of consistently mediocre and doesn't have any big benefits to outweigh its very low durability. The rear engine, rear wheel drive means it's not even particularly stable, and while it is nimble you'd really be better off with either the Killerbee S (for slightly better stability and way better speed) or the Raiden RS (for way better stability and slightly better speed).

Wingman
Basis: 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham (with front bumper of 1959 Chrysler Imperial)
Class: American Full-Size
Obtained: From Retro Rammers DLC
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive 427ci (6997cc) V8, 4-Speed Transmission
Power: 667 hp @4600rpm, 913 ft-lb torque @2800rpm
Weight: 4951 lbs. / 2246 kg
Top Speed: 155 MPH / 249 KPH (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 12.371s (400M) 23.549s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: A stupidly heavy barge on wheels. This thing has the highest base weight of any vehicle on this list- more than the full-size truck, van, and even the Limo! And it does this despite being a 4-door sedan (albeit an incredibly long and wide one). The engine power is also surprisingly high, around 100 HP higher than most muscle cars. Still, it's so heavy that it can't really be a viable car for winning in a clean racing environment against good drivers and cars, but a wily enough driver can make it work in dirty racing or in a casual semi-clean environment. People trying to shove past you will just bounce off. Though the transmission is straight-up terrible on the default setting, it needs to be lengthened by at least one tick even on A-class. The high power results in a less terrible takeoff than you would expect.
DLC Vehicles 2

Hornet
Basis: 1983 BMW 6-Series
Class: European Full-Size
Obtained: From Backwoods Bangers DLC
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive 214ci (3500cc) Inline 6, 4-Speed Transmission
Power: 464 hp @ 5500rpm, 489 ft-lb torque @4500rpm
Weight: 3470 lbs. / 1574 kg
Top Speed: 159 MPH / 256 KPH (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 12.179s (400M) 23.266s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: Ugh. This car. It's basically a worse Panther RS, right down to the missing front bumper. Except despite having a lower base weight, this car has even worse handling, in addition to an inferior 4 speed transmission and worse torque-to-weight (making it struggle to accelerate). Not really a good reason to use this unless you're absolutely crazy for a BMW, though for some inexplicable reason the dragstrip times are actually pretty above-average.

Outlaw
Basis: 1932 Ford Model 18 Coupe
Class: American Compact
Obtained: From Backwoods Bangers DLC
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive 426ci (6980cc) V8, 6-Speed Transmission
Power: 340 hp @6800rpm, 240 ft-lb torque @2800rpm
Weight: 2222lbs. / 1008 kg
Top Speed: 166 MPH / 267 KPH
Dragstrip: 12.342s (400M) 23.857s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: Kind of underwhelming. Its whole deal seems to be (other than being a Hot Rod) that it's a lightweight with a V8 engine. To seemingly compensate for this it was given below-average stats for a V8, a high center of gravity, lots of oversteer, and a 6-speed transmission so it has to spend a lot of time shifting (though at least it has a good top speed). Ultimately it feels like the logical conclusion of using a nearly 90 year old vehicle in modern banger racing... you can spend a lot of effort getting it to go fast and it's still kind of outclassed.

Dragslayer
Basis: Mix of 1973 Pontiac Firebird, 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, and 1970 Plymouth Superbird
Class: American Full-Size
Obtained: From Modified Monsters DLC
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive 455ci (7456cc) V8, 6-Speed Transmission
Power: 553 hp @ 6000rpm, 576 ft-lb torque @4000rpm
Weight: 3267 lbs. / 1482 kg *
Top Speed: 168 MPH / 270 KPH (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 12.186s (400M) 23.379s (1000M)
* Armor can't be customized on this vehicle

Raven's Notes: If you get a correct tune you could keep up with a Super Venom on a straight, but in the corners you don’t stand a chance. It will massively understeer and the only way to get it to turn well enough for certain corners is with the e-brake or using the edge of the circuit in some tracks. All in all it’s pretty decent on those straights, and to be honest the acceleration is unmatched (with a few exceptions). But in the corners you'll just lose speed with no way to make it up. (it's still the best car, idc)

Raiden RS
Basis: 1982 Toyota MR2 222D Rally Car Prototype
Class: Japanese Compact
Obtained: From Rusty Rats DLC
Drivetrain: Rear-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive 122 (2000cc) Inline 4, 6-Speed Transmission
Power: 256 hp @6800rpm, 254 ft-lb @4500rpm
Weight: 1860 lbs. / 844 kg
Top Speed: 156 MPH / 251 KPH
Dragstrip: 12.280s (400M) 24.216s (1000M)

Noodle's Notes: The Raiden is a full sized go-kart that holds the title of grippiest vehicle. What it lacks in power it more than makes up for in cornering ability, carrying speeds unrivaled by any other car. The use of brakes is a rarity in the Raiden, just yank the wheel and let the grip do the work for you! The vast majority of short, narrow tracks will put the Raiden in a class of it's own, even smashing the lap times of the Super Venom.

Optimore's Notes: This car kind of defines what it means to be a lightweight. Your handling is awesome and you have a good transmission, but your power-to-weight is just a bit less than it could be and your bodywork is made of tinfoil. This is definitely one of the best cars in the game- for setting good lap times, if nothing else- but it requires skill to get the most out of it since you can't just put power down and go fast.

"It's rai-den, not ray-den!" -Optimore, to Reese Bobby
DLC Vehicles 3

Rebelrat
Basis: 1971 AMC Javelin AMX
Class: American Full-Size
Obtained: From Rusty Rats DLC
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive 427ci (6697cc) V8, 5-Speed Transmission
Power: 464 hp @4600rpm, 627 ft-lb torque @3300rpm
Weight: 3300 lbs. / 1497 kg
Top Speed: 155 MPH / 249 KPH (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 12.364s (400M) 23.583s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: Kind of an unusual one, clearly intended to be some kind of restomod vehicle given the integrated side-exhausts, front splitter, and huge default rear spoiler (the latter two both removable, thankfully). It's got very good acceleration and decent speed, with its gimmick being the odd handling. The suspension is pretty good and it's quite grippy, but actually has a tendency to understeer a little and doesn't maintain powerslides well. Good for a change of pace from the other muscle cars.

Noodle's Notes: The Rebelrat is a drag car champion with blistering acceleration and top-speed. Turn the wheel straight, floor it, and watch everyone shrink in your mirrors! Handling is it's main downside, with a long wheelbase restricting it's tight-cornering ability. That being said, the often forgotten about Rebelrat has race-winning potential!

Vandal
Basis: 1978 GMC Vandura
Class: American Wagon
Obtained: From Rusty Rats DLC
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive 400ci (6555cc) V8, 5-Speed Transmission
Power: 691 hp @5000rpm, 953 ft-lb torque @3200rpm
Weight: 4852 lbs. / 2201 kg
Top Speed: 132 MPH / 212 KPH (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 12.275s (400M) 24.517s (1000M)

Noodle's Notes: If you're looking for some back-of-the-pack shenanigans, then the Vandal is the car for you. This box on wheels will enable you to bully smaller cars while remaining resilient to spins and dive-bombs. Its a heavy weight makes it slow and sluggish, but lets be honest, you're not hopping in the Vandal to set any land-speed records.

Optimore's Notes: A very fun heavyweight best suited for C-class racing, where it serves as a weapon of psychological terror due to being about twice as tall as the average vehicle and capable of smashing other cars apart with its unusually heavy stock bumpers (120kg each). I recommend trying to race like a normal driver while using your intimidation factor and massive size to muscle other vehicles out of your way. I should also note that other than the Wardigger, this is the only DLC car to be considered part of the Wagon class, however there is very little practical application of this information.

Grand Duke
Basis: 1966 Chrysler Imperial Crown 4-Door
Class: American Full-Size
Obtained: From American All-Stars DLC
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive 440ci (7210cc) V8, 5-Speed Transmission
Power: 661 hp @4600rpm, 982 ft-lb torque @2800rpm
Weight: 4607 lbs. / 2090 kg
Top Speed: 170 MPH / 274 KPH
Dragstrip: 12.138s (400M) 23.423s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: This car's real-life basis, the Chrysler Imperial, is frequently banned from demolition derby events due to being too durable. Correspondingly, this car is a super-heavyweight that excels at wrecking. It's a huge vehicle whose length rivals the Limo's, with the weight, handling, and bad acceleration to match. However, it's a bit better for performance than many similar cars like the Wingman or Hearse. In fact, the top speed is ironically better than some of the more 'normal' cars like the Rocket (it'll just take a while to get there).

Little Thrasher
Basis: 1981 Chevrolet C10 Stepside
Class: American Full-Size
Obtained: American All-Stars DLC
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive 440ci (7210cc) V8, 5-Speed Transmission
Power: 471 hp @5600rpm, 523 ft-lb torque @3600rpm
Weight: 3558 lbs. / 1614 kg
Top Speed: 164 MPH / 264 KPH
Dragstrip: 12.077s (400M) 23.752s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: Takes after the same model of truck as the Roamer, a starter vehicle from Flatout 2. Like in that game, this vehicle is primarily focused on strength- don't be fooled by the base weight, as this truck has a variety of unique super-heavy armor pieces that make it more of a direct rival to the MudDigger. The main difference is the handling- instead of too wobbly, it's too stiff. If you want to try making this thing go fast, my recommended tune is 5342.

DLC Vehicles 4

Wildking
Basis: 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1
Class: American Full-Size
Obtained: From American All-Stars DLC
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive 440ci (7210cc) V8, 5-Speed Transmission
Power: 510 hp @5400rpm, 624 ft-lb torque @3400rpm
Weight: 3487 lbs. / 1582 kg
Top Speed: 164 MPH / 264 KPH
Dragstrip: 12.087s (400M) 23.141s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: Now this is a Mustang that delivers, tacky default appearance notwithstanding. It takes after its little brother the Rocket as an all-rounder muscle car, but does better than it in pretty much every way. It has more weight, power, better handling, and a much better transmission. Just make sure you watch the brakes, as unfortunately this is the one thing the Wildking doesn't do better.

Sweeper
Basis: 1972 Ford Granada Mk1
Class: European Midsize
Obtained: From Banger Racing DLC
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive 454ci (7440cc) V8, 5-Speed Transmission
Power: 403 hp @5000rpm, 559 ft-lb torque @3000rpm
Weight: 2892 lbs. / 1312 kg
Top Speed: 172 MPH / 277 KPH
Dragstrip: 12.185s (400M) 23.479s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: Basically a small V8 sedan from England, not the most common car archetype. Lower than average weight coupled to average power gives you good power-to-weight and better handling. Definitely a viable muscle car, and don't listen to the HUD when it tries to tell you that its handling score is 2/10 or something. I do definitely feel like the handling is different, but not substandard- actual agility is decent enough, but the car really bogs down if you try to power out of a turn before you have the wheels firmly planted and not sliding. Line it up before you hit the gas and it'll absolutely take off.

Hearse
Basis: 1991 Daimler DS420 Hearse
Class: European Full-Size
Obtained: From Banger Racing DLC
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive 214ci (3500cc) V8, 4-Speed Transmission
Power: 633 hp @4500rpm, 825 ft-lb torque @3750rpm
Weight: 4852 lbs. / 2201 kg
Top Speed: 156 MPH / 251 KPH (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 12.194s (400M) 23.507s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: Hearse racing is not something really seen in America but apparently the British do actually take these things out on the track and kill them in horrific car crashes. I don't know if it's out of irony or if it's just because you're not going to use a hearse for much if it's not hauling dead people, but anyway... this thing isn't particularly fast nor particularly agile, but it is uncommonly heavy while maintaining an acceptable set of capabilities, which makes it great for hedging your bets in less friendly lobbies. And if you do die, you're already in a hearse, so there's that.

Stock Car
Basis: BriSCA Formula 1 class stock car
Class: European Midsize
Obtained: From Banger Racing DLC
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive 454ci (7440cc) V8, 4-Speed Transmission
Power: 434 hp @6200rpm, 374 ft-lb torque @4800rpm
Weight: 3802 lbs. / 1725 kg *
Top Speed: 171 MPH / 275 KPH (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 12.342s (400M) 23.182s (1000M)
* Armor can't be customized on this vehicle

Optimore's Notes: The Banger Racing DLC is very British, so of course the "stock car" is not in fact a NASCAR-style vehicle, but rather this weird-looking sort of dune buggy thing. This type of car is designed for high-speed, high-violence racing events that take place on dirt-surface oval tracks, and I guess this car does a fair job at that sort of thing with decent power-to-weight, the ability to take banked turns at high throttle, and more durability than you would expect from its size. It functions okay on dirt ovals, but on tracks that are more traditional it feels about the same as it looks: out of place.
DLC Vehicles 5

Bullet
Basis: 1970 Dodge Charger
Class: American Full-Size
Obtained: From Getaway DLC
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive 440ci (7210cc) V8 Super, 5-Speed Transmission
Power: 539 hp @4600rpm, 690 ft-lb torque @3200rpm
Weight: 3959 lbs. / 1796 kg
Top Speed: 180 MPH / 290 KPH
Dragstrip: 12.126s (400M) 23.288s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: One of the heavier cars available, actually outweighing several 'work duty' vehicles despite being a 2-door. Has plenty of power, and while the handling and acceleration can feel a little sluggish it's still a definite contender. Its weight gives it the ability to resist shoves and rear-enders and even straight up ignore uppity lightweight drivers trying to scrape past you. Said weight also makes it more stable than average even when not dealing with rammers. I'd say this thing is right on the line for how heavy you can get and still be viable.

Cardinal
Basis: 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis
Class: American Full-Size
Obtained: From Getaway DLC
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive 440ci (7210cc) V8, 5-Speed Transmission
Power: 524 hp @4750rpm, 623 ft-lb torque @4000rpm
Weight: 4016 lbs. / 1822 kg
Top Speed: 158 MPH / 254 KPH (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 12.342s (400M) 23.697s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: Another heavyweight. Unlike the supercharged Bullet, the Cardinal's engine is a bit more utilitarian (though still a V8) and thus it has worse acceleration and top speed. Handling is very stable, though tight turns can be an issue as it's a long vehicle and struggles to properly powerslide. Of course being so heavy also makes it great for wrecking and dirty races, so you'll see it much more often in that environment.

Razor
Basis: 1993 Nissan R33 Skyline GT-R
Class: Japanese Midsize
Obtained: From Getaway DLC
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive 183ci (3000cc) Inline 6, 5-Speed Transmission
Power: 464 hp @6800rpm, 455 ft-lb torque @4400rpm
Weight: 3311 lbs. / 1502 kg
Top Speed: 171 MPH / 275 KPH (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 12.131s (400M) 23.300s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: Generally above-average, this car feels pretty normal with just a stock tune but is very adept at pulling itself out of corners and through powerslides, which it can also initiate more easily than usual. I know that this property gives it the ability to do real Tokyo Drifts with the correct tuning, but unfortunately I don't know what that tune is or how to drive the resulting drift missile.

DJ x 131's Notes: The Razor is capable of being a front-runner in skilled hands, it is as Optimore said "above-average". For Power to Weight it is very manageable, very good beginner car for people just starting out, and because it is a DLC car, it gives you a "competitive right out of the box" feeling. It will definitely need upgrading and tuning to have a chance with higher powered cars in the game but can be competitive. Cornering is average in this car I say, it does like to slide by itself but it isn't out of control, will grip when it needs to. To compensate for the weight and get more power delivery out of your car, I would recommend taking all armor off, however you kill the pleasing aesthetics of the classic Razor... In any case, I'd recommend either a 4452 or 5452 tune depending on the track surface- use 5 suspension on asphalt tracks only.

Raven
Basis: 1987 Buick Regal GNX
Class: American Full-Size
Obtained: From Racing Heroes DLC
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive 213ci (3500cc) I6 (menu) / V8 (model) / Turbo V6 (basis), 4-Speed Transmission
Power: 470 hp @5400rpm, 678 ft-lb torque @2400rpm
Weight: 3311 lbs. / 1502 kg
Top Speed: 177 MPH / 285 KPH
Dragstrip: 12.060s (400M) 23.199s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: The first DLC 'Super 4', it drives a lot like the Roadslayer with higher suspension- a bit less stable but can navigate rough roads better. What's more interesting to note is the fact that the game contradicts itself on what engine it actually has. The upgrades page describes the car as using an Inline 6, but the actual in-game sound, performance and model are that of a V8. Meanwhile, the real-life GNX featured a turbocharged V6 engine (though some non-GNX variants did have a V8 option). So who knows what they were going for.

"Don't ask me about that car." -Raven, on the Raven
DLC Vehicles 6

Stellar
Basis: 1990 Opel Manta
Class: European Full-Size
Obtained: From Racing Heroes DLC
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive 214ci (3500cc) Inline 6, 5-Speed Transmission
Power: 314 hp @7200rpm, 252 ft-lb torque @5200rpm
Weight: 2217 lbs. / 1006 kg
Top Speed: 160 MPH / 257 KPH (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 12.334s (400M) 23.883s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: Very good lightweight really-spec vehicle. It takes a lot after the Tristar, but feels like a more well-rounded vehicle. It's a bit heavier and more stable due to the longer wheelbase and the transmission seems slightly less weird, and gives it slightly more top speed. It just loses a bit of acceleration- but it can apply it a bit more reliably, so it has a slightly better driving experience overall.

Speedie
Basis: 1969 Mini Cooper S
Class: European Compact
Obtained: From Racing Heroes DLC
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Front Wheel Drive 122ci (2000cc) Inline 4, 4-Speed Transmission
Power: 238 hp @6000rpm, 229 ft-lb torque @5000rpm
Weight: 1496 lbs. / 679 kg
Top Speed: 175 MPH / 282 KPH
Dragstrip: 12.906s (400M) 24.024s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: Was released as a trashy joke vehicle but got buffed so it's now quasi-viable. Takes a lot after the Nexus RX, trading durability and on-power handling for power-to-weight and nimbler handling off-power. The issue is that the Nexus was already pushing it on weight and its handling is good enough already, so the Speedie isn't really doing itself any favors by making this trade. However, despite looking top-heavy I've found that even on the highest suspension it has nearly unnatural levels of roll-over resistance.

Gorbie
Basis: AvtoVAZ VAZ-2105 with VAZ-2101 Grille
Class: European Midsize
Obtained: From Reckless DLC
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive 122ci (2000cc) Inline 4, 5-Speed Transmission
Power: 318 hp @5600rpm, 312 ft-lb torque @3600rpm
Weight: 2206 lbs. / 1001 kg
Top Speed: 163 MPH / 262 KPH
Dragstrip: 12.354s (400M) 24.047s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: A lightweight rally-type vehicle similar to the Stellar and Tristar. Appropriately for its heritage, it prioritizes durability and stability over it's competitors' better handling and acceleration (respectively). It's also got much better ground clearance and is more tolerant of both loose suspension and stiff differential settings, making it probably the best choice to use as a rough-road vehicle.

Blade
Basis: 1984 Pontiac Firebird / 1984 Chevy Camaro Berlinetta
Class: American Full-Size
Obtained: From Reckless DLC
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive 427ci (6997cc) V8, 5-Speed Transmission
Power: 457 hp @ 4400rpm, 653 ft-lb torque @3200rpm
Weight: 3192 lbs. / 1448 kg
Top Speed: 164 MPH / 264 KPH (Transmission Limited) *
Dragstrip: 12.100s (400M) 23.254s (1000M) *
*To-be-updated since buff

Optimore's Notes: Used to be a jack-of-no-trades before the Woodland Dash update buffed its engine power and torque from 432 and 617 to 457 and 653. Now, it seems more similar to the Speedbird, an acceleration-focused muscle car; the power-to-weight isn't as good but the handling also isn't as manky at high speeds. The engine noise (specifically the noise the car makes when letting off the throttle at high RPM) is still pretty annoying, but the car itself isn't completely irredeemable.

"As a side note this game now has no less than 5 Pontiac Firebirds in it... The Roadslayer, Roadslayer GT, Dragslayer, Speedbird, and now the Blade." - Optimore
"I'm not complaining." - Bee!
DLC Vehicles 7

Trophy Runner
Basis: Mix of 1990s Toyota Hilux (Cab, Rear) and 2000s Chevrolet Silverado (Front Profile, Grille)
Class: Japanese Wagon
Obtained: From Off-Road DLC
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, All Wheel Drive Inline 6, 5-Speed Transmission
Power: 506 hp @5800rpm, 586 ft-lb torque @3800rpm
Weight: 3392 lbs. / 1539 kg
Top Speed: ? MPH / ? KPH
Dragstrip: ?s (400M) ?s (1000M)

Noodle's Notes: Unsuprisingly the Trophy Runner excels on rough tracks, where it's suspension travel absorbs bumps like they aren't even there. However, the biggest performance advantage has to be it's launch off the start line. While two-wheel drive cars struggle for traction and spin the wheels off the start, the Trophy Runner stays composed and puts all it's available grip into accelerating thanks to it's all-wheel drivetrain. Unfortunately the all-around advantages end here as it lacks high speed cornering grip and raw power, making it unsuitable for all but a few technical, off-road tracks such as Drytown and Rattlesnake. On top of that, it has a tendency to bounce and hop around corners (especially on flat road courses), lifting the wheels off the ground and losing time. While it doesn't stack up well against high-performance cars, it stands out as one of the best heavyweights in the game due to its all-wheel-drive system, sturdy suspension, and general toughness.

Trooper
Basis: 1990 Jeep Wrangler YJ
Class: American Midsize
Obtained: From Off-Road DLC
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, All Wheel Drive Inline 6, 5-Speed Transmission
Power: 404 hp @4600rpm, 544 ft-lb torque @3500rpm
Weight: 2890 lbs. / 1311 kg
Top Speed: ? MPH / ? KPH
Dragstrip: ?s (400M) ?s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: Not a particularly impressive vehicle despite the angry grille and chunky off-road tires. It has decent torque for its weight and possesses the off-the-line acceleration benefits granted by its AWD drivetrain, but ultimately it feels a bit out of place in this game's racing environments. Maybe if there were more tracks featuring really horrible, rugged terrain, this vehicle would make more sense, but as it stands it generally struggles to compete in terms of handling, speed, or durability against its road car competition.

Sandstorm
Basis: Stylized mix of various Buckshot Racing vehicles, primarily the X2 RL Dune Buggy
Class: American Midsize
Obtained: From Off-Road DLC
Drivetrain: Rear Engine, All Wheel Drive 454ci (7440cc) V8, 5-Speed Transmission
Power: 451 hp @6500rpm, 408 ft-lb torque @5400rpm
Weight: 3082 lbs. / 1398 kg*
Top Speed: ? MPH / ? KPH
Dragstrip: ?s (400M) ?s (1000M)
*Armor cannot be customized

Optimore's Notes: A gimmick vehicle. While it looks cool, the handling is questionable and its speed is less impressive than the streamlined dune buggy appearance would suggest. Also, despite looking extremely rugged, the vehicle's armor and durability levels are pretty mediocre so it really doesn't do well at either racing or roughhousing. However- it does have one thing going for it, which is that its off-roading suspension allows it to weather bumpy roads and flying off ramps far better than any normal road car. It also looks really slick.
Tournament Vehicles 1

Super Venom
Basis: 1982 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray w/ Custom Bodykit
Class: American Midsize
Obtained: 60,000 Fame Points
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive 454ci (7440cc) V8, 6-Speed Transmission
Power: 557 hp @ 5400rpm, 641 ft-lb torque @3600rpm
Weight: 3373 lbs. / 1530 kg
Top Speed: 175 MPH / 282 KPH (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 11.725s (400M) 22.101s (1000M)

Xenon's Notes: The Super Venom offers great acceleration which allows it to rocket down straightaways and zip around corners. Although it may be a fast car, there is a negative side to it. The car can be difficult to control at times, more so than other vehicles in the game.

Noodle's Notes: The undisputed king of speed, the Super Venom has no rival when it comes to acceleration. A plethora of power and a 6-speed gearbox makes it unstoppable. In fact, it has so much power that very few corners require the use of 3rd gear or lower (on standard tuning). This means that you can get a lightning exit in a high gear, not having to worry about shifting as much down the straights. The lively rear-end of the Super Venom makes it's learning curve steeper when compared to other cars, but once you get the hang of holding a slide, you'll be able to leave the competition in the dust! As a rule of thumb, the wider the track and longer the straights, the better the Super Venom will perform.

Hunter Panther
Basis: Bob Tullius' Custom "Group 44" 1978 Jaguar XJ-S
Class: European Full-Size
Obtained: Buy for 60,000 Fame Points
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive V6 or 323ci (5300cc) V12, 6-Speed Transmission
Power: 575 hp @5500rpm, 628 ft-lb torque @3000rpm
Weight: 3703 lbs. / 1680 kg
Top Speed: 175 MPH / 282 KPH (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 11.957s (400M) 22.482s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: Basically the same as the original except with more power and all the most troubling flaws corrected, including the unfinished look of the front fascia. A great track car similar to the SV- but more planted, heavier, and easier to drive at the cost of a bit of overall speed.

Noodle's Notes: A road-course specialist, the Panther RS can hang with the top-tier of A-class machinery. It's abundance of power and 6-speed gearbox allows for optimal power out of most corners, topped off by a healthy amount of grip. However, things get more sketchy when driving on dirt. The combination of a long frame and low ride-height means the Panther RS will bottom-out (even on soft suspension) when passing through dips in the road. This can drastically reduce the amount of steering control you have, and make it difficult to remain both consistent and fast.

*
Rocket RX
Basis: Ken Block's Custom "Hoonicorn" Ford Mustang
Class: American Midsize
Obtained: Buy for 100,000 Fame Points
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive 428ci (7014cc) V8, 6-Speed Transmission
Power: 467 hp @7000rpm, 426 ft-lb torque @4600rpm
Weight: 2795 lbs. / 1268 kg
Top Speed: 176 MPH / 284 KPH (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 11.855 (400M) / 22.572 (1000M)
*Thanks to Noodle for providing this thumbnail

Optimore's Notes: If the Super Venom represents speed, and the Hunter Panther represents stability, this car represents handling and acceleration (at least, after the Reckless update buff). It's a pretty difficult car to drive properly, between its two major quirks: its very sensitive handling and its tendency to bang the engine off the limiter during up-shifts. You can counter the former with enough skill and familiarity and the latter by manually upshifting whenever the transmission is stuck. Do this and it's a decent competitor to the other 2 tournament racers.

Maelstrom's Notes: Speed, violence, momentum that is what you will get from the 428hp V8 powered Rocket RX. This buffed version of the Rocket finally gives us (with the recent update) a challenger for the mighty Super Venom. Not quite as fast than the SV in a straight line yet, the Rocket RX can catch up with its great maneuverability and the way she can find grip on corners the SV struggles on. A good driver behind the wheel of the RX (with the proper settings) will find itself in full control of it's car and realize how much easier it is to push it to the limit in a fast corner. This car also handle great in slower corners, but be gentle with your throttle, and it will give you less oversteer than some other powerful cars. Drifting this Hoonigan Mustang look-a-like in Wreckfest will certainly gonna make you feel like Ken Block, this car is just pure fun!

Starbeast SS
Basis: 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Coupe
Class: American Full-Size
Obtained: Buy for 70,000 Fame Points
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive 427ci (6997cc) V8, 5-Speed Transmission
Power: 497 hp @5200rpm, 610 ft-lb torque @3800rpm
Weight: 3227 lbs. / 1464 kg
Top Speed: 159 MPH / 256 KPH (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 12.230s (400M) 23.443s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: This is essentially a resurrection of the pre-release "American 3" that evolved into the Starbeast, making it basically a more intact variant of the same car. It's very similar to the original performance-wise, with just a bit more engine power and looser handling, and it also comes with lighter stock parts. This makes it only slightly better than the base model and thus a bit more of a typical muscle car, rather than a race machine like the other tournament cars.
Tournament Vehicles 2

Hammerhead RS
Basis: 1993 Volvo 245 DL
Class: European Wagon
Obtained: Buy for 70,000 Fame Points
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive 122ci (2000cc) Inline 6, 6-Speed Transmission
Power: 433 hp @6500 RPM, 387 ft-lb torque @4500 RPM
Weight: 2608 lbs. / 1183 kg
Top Speed: 153 MPH / 246 KPH (Transmission Limited)
Dragstrip: 11.999s (400M) 23.113s (1000M)

Noodle's Notes: If you need to get the kids to soccer practice as fast as possible, hop in the Hammerhead RS. Comparable to the previously dominant Super Venom, the Hammerhead RS shares very similar performance values. However, this speedy family-wagon makes its pace in different ways by utilizing its superior braking ability and more planted rear-end to carry more speed into corner entries, while the Super Venom will pull away on corner exits with it's better acceleration. Due to it's planted and stable handling characteristics the Hammerhead RS may feel slow to drive, but the lap times don't lie. It outshines the Super Venom on several of the more technical tracks and has established itself at the top of their leaderboards.

As for tuning, softening the suspension doesn't have as dramatic an effect on stability as you'll find with other cars. For the best cornering ability, staying on 5 will be ideal for most tracks. The gearbox has a much shorter top-end than other 6-speeds, so be careful not the tune it too short. When in doubt, stick to 3 or 4 on gears and get adventurous later. As always differential settings are largely up to personal preference, but as long as you don't go lower than 3 you should be cruising. Finally, due to the understeery nature of the handling, putting the brake bias to 1 will help rotate the car into corner entries.

Speedbird GT
Basis: Mix of 1968 Pontiac Firebird and 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado
Class: American Full-Size
Obtained: Buy for 50,000 Fame Points (originally 100,000)
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive, 350ci (5735cc) V8, 5-Speed Transmission
Power: 462 hp @4800 RPM, 794 ft-lb torque @3200 RPM
Weight: 2808 lbs. / 1274 kg
Top Speed: 181MPH (292KPH)
Dragstrip: 12.084s (400M) 22.985s (1000M)

Optimore's Notes: The actual car from the old Next Car Game demo, with mods and a livery to match. It's cleaner than the regular model, with functional lights and access to a couple of cosmetic mods that the standard variant doesn't have, such as the car's real rear bumper and a set of new road tires. It was given an engine power buff in the visual overhaul update, although it still doesn't differentiate too drastically from the original.

Eagle R
Basis: Fictional (Carmageddon: Max Damage)
Class: American Mid-Size
Obtained: Buy for 100,000 Fame Points
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive, 454ci (7439cc) V8, 6-Speed Transmission
Power: 540 hp @5400 RPM, 622 ft-lb torque @3600 RPM
Weight: 2808 lbs. / 1274 kg*
Top Speed: TBA
Dragstrip: TBA
*Armor cannot be customized

Noodle's Notes: The Eagle R looks fast and boasts some impressive stats, but the positives end there. The 100,000 fame price tag gets you an un-competitive gimmick car. You can't add armor, remove the spikes, or make any cosmetic adjustments besides paint. It can only be driven in servers that have specials enabled (since for some reason it's categorized as a special vehicle). (This is no longer true, as it's now considered a Mid-Size). More often than not, this means you'll be weak and slow, getting pummeled by battle buses and doom rigs. As it stands currently the Eagle R isn't worth the buy: you'd be better off grinding for any other tournament car.

Hotbomb
Basis: Custom 1952 Buick Super Riviera "Bombshell Betty"
Class: American Mid-Size
Obtained: Buy for 500,000 Fame Points
Drivetrain: Front-Engine, Rear Wheel Drive, 440ci (cc) V8, 5-Speed Transmission
Power: 493 hp @6200 RPM, 504 ft-lb torque @4400 RPM
Weight: 3077 lbs. / 1395 kg
Top Speed: TBA
Dragstrip: TBA

Optimore's Notes: It's based on a Bonneville Salt Flats land speed record car, but unfortunately it doesn't have the kind of excessive top speed that such a heritage would suggest. It's not a bad car- a fair improvement over the middle-of-the-road Hotshot, though like a lot of the other tournament vehicles it trades its improved stats for a pretty terrible ground clearance that makes it harder to use on rough tracks. Also, the ridiculous "atom bomb" blower unfortunately cannot be removed. A point should also be made about its excessive fame cost; it's really not worth buying at that price.

@Optimore
Ahh, okay. Thanks for the reply.
Optimore  [作成者] 2月15日 19時50分
@Kenpoleon Bonaparte The Eagle R was implemented as part of the crossover with Carmageddon: Max Damage, and is based on a car of the same name from that game. The cars there aren't really designed after any specific car (this one resembles 2000s Jaguars as much as it does the Viper) so it was just listed as "Fictional".
Kenpoleon Bonaparte 2月15日 15時12分
Why is the Eagle R listed as being a fictional vehicle? To me, it's looks very similar to a Dodge Viper.

@Talon I don't have much experience with it, but from the few times I've seen it driven I would stand by the assessment that it's not really exceptional and probably isn't worth the price tag unless you just really like Carmageddon.
Talon 2024年1月30日 18時27分
Considering the Eagle R isn't classed as Special anymore, I'm guessing now it's more a 'middle of the road' kind of vehicle? Far better options out there but not bad if you want to get good with it?

Also, would you make an individual guide for all the gimmicky/joke vehicles?
Optimore  [作成者] 2023年8月4日 23時10分
@Speed Bump The Grand Marquis is just a Mercury-badged version of the Crown Vic. It has a few differences from it though (namely, a vertical silver slat grille and rear lights that extend onto the trunk) that the Cardinal replicates, so that's what we listed its basis as.
Mikado the Glaceon 2023年8月4日 21時15分
Isn't the Cardinal more based on a Ford Crown Victoria?
