Armored Assault Cruiser [Vanilla/Modless] [Pre-Release]

Description
This is the pre-release of a large ship I have been working on for the past week.

The purpose of this ship was that I wanted a high-end/endgame cruiser that I could enjoy playing with in survival. Its size is what I believe would be as large as ships should reasonably be made in survival for practicality sake.

There are many problems and oversights that aren't easily fixable that developed when making this ship ; but at its current state, it is useable and is very satisfying to play with.

The cruiser is surprisingly nimble regardless of its slow deceleration (you will have to use proper maneuvers to slow the ship down using its rear thrusters and its upward thrust.)

Things that need to be added before I can call it a full release:
- Proper scripts for all of the LCD screens on board.
- Grouping, coloring, and adjusting the interior lights for the ship.
- Organizing the main cockpit's toolbar
- Making the main airlock functional and automatic.

Oversights and problems with the ship (that are known):
- There are no cryochambers and no space for them I don't think
- The hangar is practically useless (yikes) due to me overestimating the size of the new DLC Gate blocks. I built the hangar expecting to get the DLC in time (which I did) and it turned out the gate blocks were both too small and took up too much space. There is practically no space for a good sized small ship to fit in. Only micro small ships which I doubt are too useful. Perhaps people can find suitable crafts to use for its hangar.
- The upward thrust might not be enough to sustain on planets using full cargo inventory. This is something I haven't tested but I had to squeeze in as much hydrogen thrust onto the bottom as I could just to get it to fly with 1.1 gravity with an empty inventory. Be cautious.
-There is no direct airlock into the ship. The only access into the ship is through the hangar which is unideal.
- There are probably more problems but I cannot think of them at the moment. I will update this list as more things come up

Make sure to keep enemies above the ship. All of its armor is topside and cover over multiple decoy blocks keeping the interior safe.

The ship uses Ion thrusters but can fly planetary using the hydrogen attatched. It is not meant for extended flight on planets and more as an immobile base or to refuel on planetary stations.

Regardless of all of these problems, I still managed to have a lot of fun with the ship and I believe it is definitely ready to be uploaded. I will attempt to update this ship as much as I can, but I am very eager to have it released at its current state.

Feel free to rip anything out, add anything in, and make it your own. And have fun.

Hey there, cool ship. However, I'd love to see a version without all the "fluff". Things like beds, toilets, kitchens, brake-out areas... ect. A pure, hardcore PvP version.

@greendragonsegg ah yes, ive played around with the double gate. I came up with a couple redesigns for it, but it lost something along the way. But it would make more sense for it. (having an actual use for the hangar.)

And thank you for the feedback. I will actually go ahead and try to fix those issues. It is great to hear you are enjoying the ship. I most certainly did play testing (although I didnt playtest nearly enough).

you can do a double gate for the front and back bays, the center one will stay a small one, but it fits with little remodeling. loving this thing

the left refinary is not piped right, and the O2 tanks near the med bay are not piped to the rest of the ship, other then this nice build, have you tried doubling the gates to make a larger hole?

Looks good, the only think I'd change off hand, would be the thrusters all clustered together, but then I don't really know how else I'd do it, other then maybe try to break them up into pods? maybe idk.. But looks great!

Perhaps instead of the hangar being for ships, turn it into a missile bay?
