Awesome work so far! I had been using Aliabad and Hazar Kot to represent Tunisia in some of my SP scenarios (I also re-created a similar historical photo as the one you did), keep up the great work here! The terrain is very natural, though the textures could likely use some kind of feathering to blend different shades more. Would love to see some fortifications or fighting positions as you mentioned. The more North Africa theatre, the better! I'd love to see some early Western Desert terrain for some SAS/LRDG action.

It may not stay as a dependency, but currently the the config is inheriting from CUP's desert map. that and the road textures are from takistan.

@Henderson, mainly just googling. Im also using modern day photos of the area to try and recreate the vegetation. But heres a good source of photos and info on the battle. http://www.ibiblio.org/hyperwar/USA/USA-MTO-NWA/USA-MTO-NWA-23.html

This thread here also has some great color photos of Americans in Tunisia, although none of the color photos are from Kasserine. https://community.battlefront.com/topic/85790-was-terrain-really-like-this/

May I second the question on why the "CUP Terrains - Maps" is required? It effectively quadruples the file size. Maybe not the terrainmaking feedback you were wanting, but, perhaps useful from an accessibility standpoint.

Why is CUP Terrains - Maps a dependency?

Where did you get reference photos from?

There probably wont be any villages solely because from my reference photos, there doesn't seem to be any there in 1943. I do plan on putting in the American defenses in the mountains on either side of the valley. This will be where most infantry combat takes place.

A good first step man. Only suggestions are to look at images of the real world location, add some more foliage, and add some micro terrain (rocks, defilade, etc...) to make it more survivable for infantry at longer distances. Wouldn't hurt to maybe add a small village or two with a local bazaar too for some varied combat.
