Description
Vanilla | Survival | Subgrids | No Scripts | DLC

A messy, industrial exploration ship with everything you could need to start a new base on a far away planet.

The S-400 is intended to serve as an exploration ship or a preliminary base. With a large cargo container, a refinery and an assembler it has pretty much everything you need. While it's refining stuff, you can fill it up with ores using the ship mounted drills or a small mining ship that you can attach to one of the two connectors on the ships belly. It also has some space for a small speeder bike that is already integrated.

In order to carry all that ore and stuff around, it utilizes all kinds of thrusters. The hydrogen thrusters are the main maneuvering thrusters, but to conserve fuel on planets it has two large atmo thrusters for atmospheres. In order to get to space without wasting much hydrogen, it also has two large ion thrusters in the back. When it's unloaded, you can even reach space without needing the hydro thrustesr at all. Of course it also has a jump drive.

You really wouldn't want to get into a fight with it though, as it only has one gatling turret on the right and two interior turrets on the left, all of which you have to reload manually. The gatling turret ammo lasts for around 7 minutes of fire, so probably much longer than the ship itself.

The ship has only two relatively simple subgrids, needs no scripts, but a bunch of DLCs.
It can fly on all planets, needs 0% hydrogen to get to space from earth and can safely lift around 800 t.

I like my dirty industrial-looking ships, but I usually like my ships to have symmetry. For this, however, I will make an exception... This is the exact type of ship I've been looking for! All the things you'd need in a mobile base, but not excessively large, nor too cramped. The interior is actually good-looking and isn't just bland and grey like a lot of other ships... The one problem I have is the lackluster defenses, and I saw someone else mention that the hydrogen isn't connected to the medical room... Combat isn't usually my playstyle anyways, but I like my turrets to be conveyored anyways...

I don't normally like asymmetric build, but you knocked this one out of the park! Only suggestion, include one large, and two small cargo containers to make it compatible with Isy's Inventory Manager. Otherwise, I'm pretty tickled to use this ship!

Been loading ice in multiple cargo containers, yet hydro thrusters are not lighting up / ice is not being converted, there goes your "fully conveyored".

there is no way to get into ship without jetpack

The ship looks cool. But I can't find a way to load the gatling turret. It is not attached to anything. Also, the med bay is not attached to the hydrogen, which I guess is really just an inconvenience, but still was not expecting that.

Overall, the ship looks good, but I will have to recommend people not use this if they are in survival. It will take a lot of work to get it functional.

@nilssonmikael74 Zero chance, there are numerous DLC blocks literally holding it together.

Speeder can explode, than connecting by rotor. But cool ship.
