This is a simple automatic printer for small things (5x5x5 large blocks) with semi-automatic self-assembling option.
So, you play in survival and want some simple and aesthetic printer? Then this thing is for you.

No mods or DLCs!

Building in survival:
1) Load blueprint into projector block.
2) Build structure.
3) Add hinge parts on the piston heads (its marked by projections).
4) Push button on the red button terminal to start self-assembling.
5) Wait 45 secounds.
6) ...
7) Profit !!! Remove red button terminal, if you wish.

Optional:
You can add small grid projector block on the advanced rotor, if you want to build small grid ships, or replace advanced rotor by projector block.

It can't be understated how well you designed this. You built it for survival use. No complicated multigrids, just two single part subgrids projected onto the main with projectors already turned on and aligned. It's a unicorn in the builds, your design even understands that merge blocks can temporarily link a subgrid to main so they're considered unified! Most, if not all, of the printers are multigrids that have no linked subgrids projected, yours should be featured for being so well designed.

Nightstalker, for that, you need to replace big projector for the rotor with small one. The game still cant work with multigrid projections, so manual replacement is the only option at this time (if you want to build that printer in survival)

just one question.... how does one make this work for things on a small grid?

massive kudos for understanding how to build for the workshop, you used merge blocks to make the subgrids part of the main grid. most people posting their work don't do that.

love it but the assembly stage might need a reset as its all invalid boxes icons. its alright, just needs a bit of timer block backtracing to figure all out.

I am talking about the initial assembly part

Thanks very quick response yeah from what i saw the pistons went up with the hinges going into the attach points but then i press the button the pistons go back down but don't seem to stay attached it just leaves the platform where it was.

if i may ask maybe i'm doing something wrong or you could be right about the world settings and if if i may ask what order do i push the buttons on the front not the red panel i already built the hinge points but could i be pressing the wrong buttons like do i push 1-2-3 or 4 first because im not sure about the order? thanks :)
