Description

This mod increases a pawn's chance to dodge melee attacks based on his/her health and melee skill, making it a more valuable ability for higher level pawns. Pawns can now have higher melee dodge chances, this makes engagements last longer between good fighters as they should be able to consistently dodge attacks, but as they get injured this chance will go down.

- Consciousness is now a factor when determining dodge chances

- Tweaked the "Post-processed curved" modifier

Compatibility
This is a very small mod and uses the new patching feature so it should be compatible with anything!

Can also be safely added and removed from existing save files.

Bugs
This is my first mod and my way of getting familiar with patching and xpathing, if you notice any issues please let me know.

is there any way to edit the cap in the files? Almost all of my colonists went from %50 to 90% dodge, when I'm more looking for around the 75%, and preferably if there's any way to change the scaling that'd also help so pawns with relevant genes and traits benefit more than just those good in melee

hey anyone know how to just remove the dodge cap limit? i have other mods and items to increase dodge and i don't like the sound of melee skill directly correlating with dodge.

no it's not redundant because it's one of the few 1.4 mods that tweaks the melee dodge cap

@Teknikal Arkitekt There will always be ways to make pawns too good. Perhaps this mod is redundant for those using biotech?

can you make a version where the curve isn't massively tweaked? I got a pawn with 12 melee skill and a bunch of genes and stuff that improves dodge rate and I think he got to 90% at like 10 melee skill

What if movement speed is also factored into it? You may be able to see the attack coming, but that means nothing if you aren't fast enough to avoid it
