DMC-12 DeLorean - Back to the Future II

Description
"Smolified" variant just dropped!

Xbox: https://spaceengineers.mod.io/dmc-12-delorean-time-machine

DLC
- Wasteland: hidden exhaust pipes for visual effects. Non-essential.

Description
An attempt to replicate the DMC-12 DeLorean time machine from the second part of Back to the Future, based on the replica of the original DMC-12 DeLorean.

The result is a complex compact flying-able DeLorean with hover ability and a switchable no-script/script visual animation for time travel simulations, with a bunch of automated actions to drive this beast with ease.

Absolutely not suitable for mass production.

Travel through time and space (or How to fake it)
The car itself does not have the ability to travel in the time, but there is one way to fake it very simply. Follow strictly the following procedures:
  1. Get in the car.
  2. Save (the same world or a new world)
  3. Leave the game.
  4. In the load menu, look for the backup folder of the saved world.
  5. Load a backup you already saved while in the car.
  6. Repeat the procedure with a recent backup to go back to the future.
/!\ Warning /!\ Worlds have by default 5 backups. Do not forget that or you may not be able to return to the future.
Note: the initial position of the car may change through the saves.

Travel modes (no fake anymore)
Please respect the following instructions to avoid accidents.

Flight
Take off: convert the rover to flight mode [5].
Landing: bring the rover near the ground and convert the rover to wheels mode [5].

Hover
While in flight mode, bring the rover near the ground and turn off upward thrusters [7].

Wheels
Since the introduction of 1x1x1 small merge block in the base game, there is no need of a complex timer block system nor even a script to control wheels on sub-grid anymore. Once wheels are merged on the main grid, the vehicle can be driven as a regular rover.

Cruise mode
This option allows the user to move without losing speed by turning off backward thrusters and can be switched by pressing [6].

Time travel visual effects:
No-script:
The no-script system cannot be activated via speed, but only by pressing [9]. Do not use it if scripts are enabled, or disable the script by pressing [10].
1st trigger:
  1. Time circuits turn blue and sparks will spawn in front of the car.
  2. Sparks will despawn few seconds later and some lights will be turned on to simulate a flash which will disappear few seconds later.
2nd trigger:
  1. Time circuits turn grey.
  2. White smoke will appear few seconds later coming from rectangular exhaust pipes for few seconds.
Script:
same as no-script except it triggers automatically once the velocity becomes over or under the 88mph limit. Also better timing.

Other systems
Gull-wing doors
I managed to limit Clang things, but if in very rare case the doors stuck, simply press the button again and retry.

Hood
The way it opens is wrong, it's a technical choice to open from the other side.

Windows
Most window parts are made using a projector. You can deactivate it at night to see better.

Using an image editor to crop parts of the tail lights and an image to lcd converter (link in the description)

Nice. I'll try it. With Ion thrusters and a Small Jump Drive mod, it could be more funny to use :)

@Kerry Freeman: I don't know, I want to do something else
@GGman11234: It's not an oversight, use backups

Thanks for the report! I cannot reproduce the issue but I found that the inertia tensor on the rotor was on where it should not be. Maybe the issue comes from it. I updated the blueprint. If you want to keep the previous version, switch the inertia tensor on the 'rotor front left', the sub-grid one and reverse it. Let me know if it solves your issue
