Passable ED-Embrasures [BAL]

Description
What this mod does
Patches Jaxxa's ED-Embrasures to make them passable like Sandbags, but with a much greater degree of slowdown.

Nuts and Bolts
Very simple patch that adds "passability" of PassThroughOnly to the ED-Embrasure, with a very high "pathCost" of 9000, and a "pathCostIgnoreRepeat" of true (same as Sandbags; once the pawn is considered to be 'inside' the terrain, they are not slowed down further).

Why should I use this patch?
Passable but slowing embrasures lead to far more "reasonable" enemy melee behavior than fully impassable embrasures. Melee raiders and animals will directly assault a position of embrasures, slowly "scaling" the walls without being driven to utterly baffling maneuvers in their search for a conveniently unblocked (but extremely roundabout and more than likely trapped beyond belief) pathway.

The time that raiders spend crossing a single tile is very high; a typical pawn with 4.60 c/s movement speed takes almost exactly seven seconds to move "into" an embrasure in this way (after which they are no longer slowed). Seven seconds is enough time for a player to reasonably pull pawns back and escape through a door, possibly behind a second line of embrasures, before the enemy is able to finish crossing.

This patch is best used to build functional but not fully impassable lines of defense or firing positions.

Mazes, Embrasures, and You
Please note that this patch does not fix the Rimworld's AI tendency to get baited into long, 1 cell wide mazes. In fact, it exacerbates the issue by strengthening the typical 1-wide maze design (replace the alternating sandbags in a typical maze with patched embrasures). My sincere suggestion is to avoid this patch if you enjoy building such mazes.

About and Acknowledgments
These changes were inspired by, but not entirely the same as, the passable embrasures from Medieval Times.

Big thanks to Jaxxa for his original work on ED-Embrasures.

The maximum possible path cost is 9999, by the way. Beyond that the game considers things impassible. So these are very, very slow. In my tribal playthrough the walls were rarely scaled until I got to so many raiders that the defenders couldn't shoot them all down in time, or someone defending a hole got picked off.

Downside is it does mean you need a second wall behind your embrasures otherwise wild animals will wander through your defenses and into your base.

good call Ed, gotta keep things logical. like manhunting animals and melee raiders running circles around your defenses waiting to be shot logical

Ah balance, the pretext for any nonsense. With this embrasures are passable and metals burn.

Seriously, an embrasure is only some centimeters wide and high, it's literally smaller than windows, by definition they are not passable. But you want to make passable things like this : https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d2/Embrasure.chateau.Bonaguil.2.png !

Sorry for the aggression but sometimes balance should go to hell if it implies some things that are illogical!

@Cyro: Not the work of my mod. My mod is a single patching operation that adds three lines:

<pathCostIgnoreRepeat>true
<passability>PassThroughOnly
<pathCost>9000

it does not touch how the embrasures link. I am decently sure that what you screencapped is the default behavior of Jaxxa's original ED-Embrasures.

Really nice mod. Unfortunately with this edit, doors no longer recognise embrasures as something to snap onto, leaving them looking very out of place whenplaced vertically. https://imgur.com/a/u2l6Q9E

Is this something you think could be fixed or is it just a unavoidable limitation of the code?

can you also make it work with "reinforced walls",which adds reinforced embrasures?

Any hope of a version that patches the ones from Combat Extended and RF Concrete ?

Great idea to balance the mod, thank you
