Dean Douglas

Shane Douglas wrestled for the WWF in the early 90's before winning the NWA Title in 1993 and helping lead the way for Eastern Championship Wrestling to become Extreme Championship Wrestling. He became The Franchise, formed Triple Threat, and became a main event player.

In 1995, Douglas left ECW for WWF as Dean Douglas, a wrestling college dean. He would give his opponents report cards after matches and feuded with the likes of Razor Ramon and Shawn Michaels over the Intercontinental Title.

Douglas won the belt in 1995 from Michaels only to lose it 20 minutes later to Ramon.

Douglas returned to ECW in on January 1, 1996, after a dispute with Vince McMahon about an injury. After initially appearing in ECW as Dean Douglas, he quickly dropped the gimmick to once again become The Franchise.
