Reckless Safety Notice Man

Allow adequate room around you during game play.

The (in)famous certain character that's in every single wii game ever made.
With his recklessness and his trusty wiimote, he is sure to wreck the competition just as he wrecks your TV!

2020/10/23(ymd): v2.0, it's 2.0 but nothing has drastically changed. check the changelog, i write them!
2020/10/15(ymd): v1.9, mainly fixed the issue where ori bashing the fspecial bowling ball would crash the game

FSPECIAL: Reckless Flailing
Two big hits forward with some velocity.

NSPECIAL: Vase and Friend Projectiles
Summons and smacks a vase backwards, and a friend forwards.

USPECIAL: Reckless Tornado Riser
Rises up as a multihit tornado, with a finisher hit.

DSPECIAL: Immitating Just Dance
Hits opponent twice, with the 2nd hit launching the opponent directly upwards. 2nd hit's hitstun is multiplied so you are pretty much guranteed to follow up with something else.

GIMMICK: Safety Strap
When you parry something or hit DSPECIAL's 2nd hit, you will remove your safety strap. Any normal moves that swings wiimote will now throw wiimote (which respawns in your hand immediately.)

FSTRONG: Wii Sports Bowling
Unique strong attack that continues while charging. Depending on when you release the charge, it changes how you throw the bowling ball.

i feel thats where im losing most matchups as his hitboxes are actually honest so most characters beat that with their dishonest hitboxes for trades. which is great character design on hyuponia's part and more a slam on everyone elses tendency to not animate properly including smash bros and trevor even. sorry for using this as a forum for the character but dont know if their is another place. that being said i notice you wrote a guide and will be checking it out. thx again.

thx for the tips i do believe dash has potential but i never get a kill with it outside of abhorrent di until 150. i knew dstrong had drift havent used it as a spike though, will try it. I know its user error for the fstrong most the time which is why i left it out of my previous comment. I have used it correctly both backwards and forwards but due to its wocky nature im obviously not consistent with its kill potential. i like comboing fair and nair to upspec for the carry but outside of low stages i dont really get the lift required to kill since its got a horizantol launch. didnt know nair had copter properties will add it to the kit. i meddle with maypul and sk so shouldnt be to hard to adapt it. i do like RSNM's projectile its offstage kill potential is nice and its not really spammable but i do still find hes weak against camp since his approach is not the best.

maxvondeconlo, reckless has quite a few consistent kill options and mechanics that might not be apparent at first glance. fspecial is a great approach move as it can usually clear projectiles that aren't transcendent while moving forward, with variable height in the air. holding nair while jumping allows you to increase height giving you more aerial options, and you can slide off the edge of platforms with dsmash for tricky movement or a powerful spike! throwing the bowling back backwards allows you to get the move out much faster, and dash attack is a solid kill move in its own right. you should also be using neutral special to test the playstyle of the person you're fighting against, and adjust your approach accordingly, as the unpredictable projectile can be hard to react to and can also catch jumps. plus, your uspecial is a solid kill move off the top and you can combo it out of nair, or dsmash if your opponent DI's in at high percents.

or am i missing a tool in my wheelhouse to pull this charater from midtier. im winning still on par with my averages but still feel im missing something for getting a consistent kill at 100-120 outside of carries and my opponent fucking up. Again just looking for advice and telling you Awesome character. sorry its so long

I love the character. Honestly by far my favorite in the shop. I feel like my weaknesses with him though are hitting campy characters that are creating a sort of control at range horizontally say like a ranno needle forcing me into the air as my only approach. outside of parrying which is difficult depending on the match up and not always ideal in a very offensive mindset game. i feel like all my approach options are either too slow as in like a dspecial to pass over projectiles or a going all the way over head with dair with isnt consistly a good whiff punish as i had to be relatively close. that being said none of thats a complaint as all characters should have a weakness or they're broken. However, Dstrong and Ustrong seem very lackluster and i usually find my self needing to zss carry to sides or wrastor/mk knight carry up to get a reliable kill before 150 as outside of terrible di i dont feel RSNM has a consistent kill option. is there supposed to be this issue for balance?

I think the bowling ball should be the side special because it feels odd whenever i go to kill somebody and i drop the ball to the ground cause i was out of position to throw it at them. I also think it should be the side special is that the original side special is just like the down special in most ways.
