Description
After a (rather ridiculous) discussion I decided to prove that a communiction system between players with ingame scripts is in fact possible. Or with other words: I'm gonna do an internet!

What this does
This unit is the client that will connect to the server unit, which connects to other clients to allow communication between grids in the same antenna relay system.

Setup
Setup a LCD screen with the tag "[chat]" in its name.
First run with argument "name <username>" (replace <username> with the name you want to use)
Then try to run with argument connect, if there is a problem with your connection it will be displayed on the LCD
Any argument that doesn't match one of the others will now be sent into the chat.
To leave run with argument "disconnect", this will clean the server of your data and will ensure you'll be able to reconnect later

Purpose
-Proof of concept mostly, as multiplayer includes faction and private chat
-RPs for more immersion?

Note I'll only continue working on this if there is sufficient interest.
-Direct messaging
-multiple server channels
-...?

This script uses WhipLash TextHelper class extracted with his permission out of his Turret Based Radar Script

Dude Ingamescripts don't have access to any api outside of the game unless a mod adds it at which point you might just make a mod integrating into normal ingame chat. I am no modder I don't know how to insert anything into SE

I know, I've been writing interfaces for it for IRC, Discord, Twitch etc. and it'd be cool to do one for this too :)

I don't think I fully understand; this uses the networking system of SE, meaning this isn't a new way to communicate, this was just a silly project to test what the IGC system can handle, it's in no means a better system than normal chat in a hosted world
