FoTS 100pdr artillery -"fixed"- v.9

Description
---
Fixed 100pdr atillery (created by The_Yogi) for FOTS
---
Full Skill Tree for Vanilla General and Agents
Reduced Administration Cost
OP Hattori Kisho Ninja with Hand Mortar

UPDATE 7/15/20 v.9:
Projectiles now have explosions!
The unit now has no attrition in winter (there was a little problem when having less hands to man the guns at start of a battle - and If you lose some men during the battle, while they were managing the guns, they will not fire again. You will need to remove them from the gun and then order them back. Still didn't find a solution for that).
I've also removed the build limit and reduced the time to build - as it takes almost forever to research all the techs needed, there's the need to build an arsenal, and how slow they move in the campaign map... 4 turns to create was a little too much.
The projectiles now bounce, and the firing arc is reduced. Unit ammo was also increased to 200. They can fire the entire battle.
---New video with explosions!---

--------

Several years ago, this was one of my favorite mods, but it was broken and abandoned...

So, I fixed it, more or less...
Turns out, when the shot hit the ground, a volumetric smoke should appear, and this was the problem with that.
So, I've removed the effects folder and the script for the smoke, and it is now functional. Bear in mind, however, the shot is not doing any great visual effects like explosions or smoke anymore, just the blast and some small fire. It's very cool to use, anyway.
I've also increased the stats a bit, now it fires faster, and more accurate. As they can't be moved in the battlefield, you can now deploy outside the deployment zone.

FoTS RBL 100pdr Armstrong Siege Gun

TWC Thread: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=532517

This Mod Simply makes The RBL 100pdr Armstrong Seacoast Artillery as an Recruitable Unit.
Note: Fixed Artillery.
Stats
Range : 1000
Cost : 3000
Building Requirement : Arsenal

Its Like bringing Long Range Naval Support into the Battliefield. Note The Very Limited Campaign Map range - they are not easy to carry through the Land...

I Know, that this configuration isnt the most practical Siege Gun...I made them since there is demand for such monstrosities like this Cannon...Field Parrotts and Armstrongs on Field Carriages are far more mobile and poweful enough...most of the time...

@Caliban, I’m sorry for the late response. It has been ages since I last really opened and browsed through my Steam. I don’t remember exactly, but I think I left those guns to be deployed almost anywhere on the battlefield because almost every map has terrain elevation, especially in the deploy zones. These guns have almost no firing arcs, so they need to be placed somewhere where the projectile trajectory is clear. Otherwise, they will shoot the ground over and over again, or simply not shoot at all. So, it was to avoid rendering them useless. You must rush your troops to defend them, of course, depending on where you deployed them. I hope this answers your questions! Good gaming!

Hey guys, hey @ImonHBnLT, the cannon (tested in custom battle) works good, but it can be deployed wherever you want on the whole battlefield when placing your troops before the battle starts. This has to be a bug or is this just possible in custom battle and not in campaign? would make it ridicously overpowered and therefore unplayable for me. Thanks for an answer!

https://youtu.be/qR8m7doGbe4 -Thought i'd make a video guide for those who want to make the 100-pdr compatible with radious or any other mod here.

Hi would it be somehow possible that you add this gun to scramble for the far east mod ? It would be amazing to play as a prussia and have this gun. I even would be ready to donate if you could do that ;)

You only need to do this once. However, if you use several mods at the same time, you may need to redo this...
And for the mod order, not necessary. The way mods changes the game are a bit messy in Shogun 2. It's great that we are allowed to mod it, but the way things works is complicated. For some mods that changes the same files you will need to use it first. For others, you'll need to use them after...

Also another quick question, you mentioned that someone said to put this mod before Radious but when you change the mod order, dont mods farther down the mod order overwrite the ones above? So 100pdr is 1st and Radious is 2nd, doesn't Radious overwrite the 1st? or is it the other way around?
General Rubenski Sep 24, 2020 @ 1:42pm
Ahhh, that sounds tedious. So uncheck everything and re-check them on at a time. Now when all of the mods are checked in the order you want them, you dont have to do this again when relaunching the game?

When you launch the game, a box for the mod launcher will appear. Clear everything, then, enable one, launch the game, exit, enable the second, launch the game, and so on... Yeah, no easy way.
