Rebalanced Weapons - Primitive

This mod just adds some new primitive style bows, crossbows, swords, axes, and spears into the game as well as some buffed traps. They are created using the new resources that spawn on the map. The reasons for making the mod were I just wanted to play with a few more weapon tiers and I never liked that the higher tier narcotic options were less efficient from the input resources. So I found even late game one never really stopped using regular crossbow/tranqs so I just wanted an alternative. In general thats the whole point of the mod, just an alternative to slightly mix up regular gameplay.

For each weapon class there is a level 25, 50 and 75 tier (except swords there is only a 50 & 75 tier).

Ranged
Bows - As in normal ark bows don\'t hit as hard as crossbows but their rate of fire means dps is very similar. Unfortunately I haven\'t yet been able to make good enough animations for the models I have so these are just retextured primitive bows.
Crossbows - They hit harder and deliver more torpor
Arrows - All new tiers of bow and crossbow use new arrows with new recipes/resource requirements. This ranges from slightly more efficient that standard tranq arrows to slightly better than shocking tranq darts at the top tier.

Melee
Swords - These are sharp.
Axes - The upper tiers also apply a bleed to the victim.
Spears - These are all throwable doing 3 times damage to the victim but you may not get it back.

Traps
Hardened chain bola - Expensive but holds for 3 minutes. A nice alternative to making the same gate trap Ive made 1000 times. Must be fired from hardened ballista.
Hardened bear trap - More expensive that regular but it will hold for 1 minute.

Resources
Concentrated Narcotic - This and the tier above just offer slightly more efficient narcotic options for the input.
Crushed Metal - Just process regular metal into this at the weapon bench.
Finely Crushed Metal - Just process crushed metal into this at the weapon bench.
Hardened Metal Ingot - These are made by smelting crushed metal and coal in a furnace.
Metal Alloy Ingot - These are made by smelting finely crushed metal, molybdenum and coal in a furnace.

how do I get coal and elder wood

I am wondering about the drops, I have them enabled and set rather high just to get a few to spawn but when they do they spawn only in mass around where my character is and once looted they are gone and will not show up or spawn back across the map. I love the drops but would like to have them dropping at random across the map, not just around my character when I restart the server. Any help for this? Or a blueprint list so I can at least spawn in custom crates for people on my server?

For co-operation/matchability with stacking mods, could you add weight/item and stack size configs?
Per item might be a bit extreme but like an "ammo" one that lets you set the various arrows etc stack sizes and weights per arrow and a "resource" one that lets you set the stack size and weight of the various new resources.

Not necessary but I use large stack mod sizes and silly weight modifiers on dinos to let me keep things clean and encourage further use of dino's and I know a lot of people like to use stack mods so it would help those people keep things consistent

Thanks for such a quick reply! I can't confirm whether or not there are no drops yet, but using -1 for both values did not make the game crash when loading in :cupup:

Hi Cody unfortunately the lowest you can make it is 1 and 1, setting both as 0 will cause it to use the default value. Adding an explicit setting to turn it off is something I will add in a future version. If you wanted to risk it you could try -1 in single player I never tested that, it might work but it is more likely going to cause the mod to crash.

So the reinforced bow, the one that first takes broad arrows, won't load up it poison broad arrow. Any reason why? Only the crossbow will...
