This mod is currently in its early stages. Expect updates or changes in the future.

Channel Islands adds the provinces of Jersey, Alderney, and Guernsey to the English Channel. Try to unite the channel islands and use you new power to liberate the other islands surrounding Britain! The islands of the channel have their own culture, Channel Islander.

v1.0 features:
- Three new provinces with history and custom characters
- Formable Channel Islands duchy
- Decision to 'liberate' the isles surrounding Britain, forming United Isles
- Channel Islanders culture (currently fundamentally similar to Breton culture)

v1.1 features:
- Decisions to develop the channel and outer islands
- Straits to other islands and mainland
- Channel islands should now start with more holding slots, as was intended at the start
- Events now have appropriate pictures
- Fixed placement of ships
- Bugfixes and various other back-end changes

v1.2 features:
- Added Icons
- Some bugfixes (Empire of France should be fixed)

Planned features:
- New events related to the islands
- More characters
- Decisions to improve infrastructure of the islands
- Possibly more

I am open to feedback as I am still new to modding. Feel free to offer suggestions or ideas for future versions of this mod.

Very nice!
FYI cant use it atm breaks my Cultures and Culture Groups of the whole world (incompatible with Cultural Bonuses which in my case is a must have) https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=656356860

I will try it out now and then if it works. Thanks for the mod though!

will you make the top title Bailiff and change the name of the duchy to Bailiwick?

Small update with some fixes. I am planning to add some events next but I'm having some issues coming up with ideas. My thoughts are the following:

Event to become germanic faith - The channel islands has some history with Norse raiders/colonization. Could be a fun event to choose to embrace this history or reject it. Embracing it will allow for raiding and a religion change.

Event to lower ship costs - An event to fire that allows for the ruler to invest in ship tech, allowing for cheaper fleets.

Event to invest in technology - An event to invest in Economy tech. This would only fire early game, allowing for faster adoption of Shipbuilding tech.

Event for vassalization - This is an event that would fire while the islands are still weak. The player will get an offer from either English or French rulers offering vassalization. Denying it would negatively affect relations and may lead to war.

What do you guys think of these ideas? Any suggestions are appreciated!

@Postal Dude Sark is sadly too small to be included as a separate province, including it would look weird graphically. Maybe I could include something like that as a minor title however.

will there be the Seigneur of Sark title?

@syenite yep looks to be a bug. I'll include the fix for that when I release the next update. Thanks for letting me know!

@A Random Etruscan

Any smaller and it would look weird graphically. I feel like I chose a decent size, while not entirely accurate it works.

@EndMe

If you look closer you may notice a few other references as well. There may be another one somewhere on the second bookmark too!
