When you disable this option, VRAM usage drops from 400 to 260 MB.

You can disable some secondary effects on the properties, is the last one, should work, if not, I can try to reduce even more effects.

It's working well here, VRAM usage it's not that high, 400 MB. Don't know why it is lagging for you.
