Description
Former (and final) WEC welterweight champion and former interim UFC welterweight champion and veteran of 43 pro fights. Condit arrived in WEC after an established international career and won all five of his fights in the company with four by submission, winning the welterweight title in his second fight and defending it three times. Condit lost his UFC debut in a split decision, but came back with a five-fight win streak that ended in a decision win over Nate Diaz for the interim welterweight championship at UFC 143. He lost the unification match against George St-Pierre, but did get a second chance for the title against Robbie Lawler at UFC 195. Condit was 2-2 in the time between title fights, but was coming off of a stoppage win. He ultimately lost in a split decision in a fight where Condit landed 84 more strikes, with one knockdown and zero takedowns for both fighters. Per MMA Decisions, 15 of 20 media members scored the fight for Condit and three others called it a draw. Condit has fallen on hard times since, with the Lawler fight beginning a five-fight losing streak from 2016 to 2018, with three submission losses to Demian Maia, Alex Oliveira and Michael Chiesa. Neil Magny had a regular decision win. Condit was scheduled to return in December 2019 after a one-year layoff against Mickey Gall, but had to pull out due to a detached retina. He plans to fight in 2020, according to coach Mike Winkeljohn.

In total, Condit has 28 finishes in 30 career wins, with 15 knockouts and 13 submissions. This edit has four attires, with two attempts at throwback attires from the Lawler and Diaz fights.
