Description
RAIN IN DAYZ IS DREADFUL

Lets be honest, Chernarus is presumably based on a nation in the Caucasus, not some island in the Pacific, and as such, the rain is way way too common.
Because of this, the question on how to turn off rain is all too frequent, since 1.0 the devs made some big changes to the way rain performs and made things very complicated for
lots of people newer to coding or people with rudimentary knowledge in C++.

Changing the rain is alot less straighforward then changing around game files these dayz (see what I did there) and because of this, I decided to upload a tutorial on how to remove
the rain forever to hopefully curtail the constant requests.

I myself am still learning how to balance the rain appopriately, and once I do, I will update this tutorial with a less rain version, but for now, this no rain option will have to do.

Seriously, that guy is awesome, he even made a really handy trade config mod that you guys should defintely look up.
For now, enjoy no rain, the easy way.

MOST IMPORTANTLY
DOWNLOADING THIS FILE WILL DO NOTHING.
You must read the readme, I mean, thats why it is called that. It will go over the exact steps you need to take to get this mod operational.
And, do not make your players download this file, it will not work. Once you are finished with the contents of the read me, simply remove the mod.

A better example would be to provide ALL the text of a init.c and Weather.c files (if the Weather.c file is needed to disable rain). ty

@Cynical, Thank you so very much for explaining this. The rain is ridiculous. I like to actually play this game, not stand around waiting for it to stop raining half of the time. Go figure...

Just need immunity to damage and diseases, 25,000 slot backpacks, infinite ammo and spawning in bed, fully geared and you guys will have the game you want. Seriously, you should stick to Minecraft if you want a survival game to be easy.

Yes just be sure to replace the lines as indicated, Expansion does not modify the specified lines in the init.c file.

As far as I understand, if your admin tools are still allowing you to set the weather patterns, then it is still drawing its weather from the "weather.c" file, be sure that you have the following line set exactly like this: "weather.MissionWeather(true); // false = use weather controller from Weather.c" otherwise none of the values will be used in the init.c

@Downright Cynical So i followed your readme file to the letter copied and pasted your init.c for the weather portion and deleted the event files in storage(backups and data) I now how max fog and torrential rain nonstop. I used admin tools to set everything back to 0 and after some time it went straight back to foggy and pouring down rain
