Stations, Ships and Effects Draw Distances

Description
Increases station modules, special effects (guns firing, tracers, beams, missiles etc.) ships (masstraffic too) and gates LOD draw distances. "Effects" slider should be at max while "LOD" slider can be adjusted to your preference if you want better performance or better draw distance.

(my personal preference: open your config file and set "trafficdensity" to 1 or higher for increased masstraffic, IMO it adds to immersiveness. Don't mess with <lodfactor>1.00</lodfactor> and
<effectdistance>1.00</effectdistance> setting those higher than "1" (equals to max in game setting) actually kills LOD and Effect distances)

Performance hit depends on hardware (mainly CPU).

This mod doesn't increase view distances of asteroids. It's possible to make such mod, but even 2x increase has a big impact on performance.

Should be compatible with future game updates as long as they don't overhaul the engine.

To be fully honest, about 90% of mods, including this one, should be signed. But that's my opinion

Sounds great! I've always thought its not fair for cometic/visual mods to get the modified tag. I will make a post on the forums.

The developers of the game said in the last video that they will sign some mods, cosmetic, quality of life, so that they do not cause the inscription "modified" and work with ventures. I really love your mod, would you like to ask the developers for a signature when this possibility takes place? I would love to play a vanilla game with your mod.

I dont think they changed anything related to draw distances, so yes. Performance impact should be minimal now, with latest engine improvements. Ill update soon, maybe increase it further.

Yes after a few more tests that was the case. If I stayed around in a system for a longer time, i could see new ships which enter the system being rendered at the modified range value.

When I was making the changes initially I think I noticed some kind of hardcoded limit to drawing ships when you first enter a sector. So when you enter a sector you will see a lot of pop in of ships (especially L and XL class) when they first render. Its mostly noticable when you're in travel drive at high speeds (especially whn using mods that increase speeds overall). Maybe that's what you are experiencing.
